hey everyone

Many people are not confident naturally. So by being yourself you are being the version of you that isn't confident. For whatever reason you got to a point in your life were you don't have confidence in yourself. Could be many reasons: Poor life choices, bad parenting, poor circumstances, controlled by emotions like fear and guilt. When you chose to be confident (because that is a choice) you are sacrificing your genuine self (the inner child). This all goes to a certain extent of course. But again its safe to assume that most people that are on this sub suffer from some confidence issues. I think the best solution is some middle ground:

You learn to accept yourself with your flaws and embrace those flaws with confidence but not to a point of self deprecation. You constantly look to improve and evolve but try to accept the current situation as it stands without drama. This option is a middle ground and imo will result in finding balanced people that are looking for both sex and long term relationships. It isn't as sex centered as the second option but isn't as co dependent like the third one

Another option is to become a complete narcissist. That is the option that imo will get you laid the most but relationships won't last long. You become self absorbed and everything becomes about ego. Problem is that you kill yourself (the self) and will develop severe mental health problems in the future which will push people away.

The final option is to stay yourself, not confident but extremely genuine. This option is similar to the second one since it is on the extreme. You are not willing to make effort or compromises in your personality to accommodate for other people in your life. By not being confident you force your partner to be confident and take the lead. This leads to a co dependent relationship where the woman has more power over her man. You will struggle with getting sex and creating attraction but relationships will last very long (if you do ever find one). After people get to know you they start to understand you and adapt but you will make a bad first impression.
