For the love of god whatever you do don't stick out your chin, I broke up with a girl because she was the absolute worst kisser I've ever been with. Keep your mouth relaxed. A little light biting of the lips is good. Move to neck and ears, huge erogenous zones! Use your hands! Caress her thighs, small of back, back of head/neck. Use tongue, but only enough to touch the front of her tongue and lips.

If you don't know what you're doing, you need a few simple things to get you started. Don't worry too much about technique, just do these basic things:

90/10 rule. Go in 90% of the way and let her meet you with the last 10%. This makes her complicit. It also allows you to...
... mirror what she's doing. You never want to come on too strong, but you don't want to be too soft either. Feel what she's doing, and do the same thing. If she gives you tongue, give her some. If she doesn't, don't do it.
Don't stare at her during. It's generally safest to keep your eyes closed, but you can peek a bit now and then.
Hold your hands softly but firmly on her shoulders, her lower back, or her cheeks. Don't grope or rub or fondle. Just convey comfort and strength and self-control.
And whatever you do... do try to avoid that lip smacking sound. It's a mood killer.

Stick to those basics until you've got a little experience, and then you'll start to figure it out on your own and be able to change things up, be more creative, etc. But for now, if you don't know what you're doing, keep it simple.

I'm assuming you're asking for actual technique. To be honest, what people naturally sort of do - repetitive smooching - during making out is a great place to start. Reading techniques about tongue and licking and sucking is going to make your brain swim and have you try too hard and make you nervous. Get comfortable with the simple stuff.

Things like tongue can be sexy though. A gentle, light swipe of your tongue on her bottom lip (usually horizontally) is pretty hot after a few smooches in. You know how when you kiss, you're not kissing directly on both lips, but slightly angling so that she's kissing your top lip and you're kissing her bottom lip? You can very gently suck in her lip, VERY slightly, after a bit of prolonged contact. Are you doing open-mouthed kissing? Gently lick your tongue into the inside of her mouth. And not too much. I really hate it when guys try to ram the entirety of their tongue down my throat. You should just be able to lick the tip of her tongue. Don't stress your mouth. Keep your lips soft. You shouldn't be trying too hard - because trying, and straining muscles, will expose your teeth and not feel or look cute at all. If she's into it, on the next pulse of the kiss she'll probably lick back.

I'm using the words gentle and soft and slightly, and I really do mean it. It's better to be less with the mouth than more, and she'll go for it if she wants more mouth action. If you're worried this doesn't seem passionate - where it becomes really sexy is what you're doing with the rest of yourself. Are you grabbing her arms, her waist, her hips? Stroking the back of her head, grabbing her hair, pulling her close? Pushing her into the wall, against the bed, down on the couch? Muttering little things like, "fuck," or "you taste great" or "you're so hot" or "you're a fun one" or even just "mmm?" Growling, breathing hard in satisfaction/hunger? Kissing is frequently a lot less about the kissing and more about what's going on, otherwise.

Neck kisses are hot. Go for it after making out some. Good time to suck a bit on skin and make sexy little bites - nothing that could leave a permanent mark. I fucking love it when a guy comes up behind me while I'm doing something else and starts kissing me on the back of my neck, slightly grinding into my ass at the same time.

A few small things, bigger is not better in this case. But neither is small, a little bigger or a little smaller then your lips is how you should purse your mouth depending on how she kisses you.

this is how I like to do it:

keep it slow brahs, lots of guys are way too over eager when making out. Nothing wrong with making out slow, and enjoying the moment.

I like to bite them as well, usually on their lower lip as sort of a playful gesture, they seem to like that shit a lot.

If something goes wrong during the kiss (like her hair getting in the way) don't be afraid to pause, fix it, and carry on.

I like to give as much tongue as I'm getting as well, when kissing with tongue you kinda have to take turns, if that makes sense?

For a first kiss near the end of a first date I never kiss longer than a few seconds. My goal is to give them a sweet, tender taste of what's to come if they go out with me again. What works best for me is when saying good bye, they usually proactively want to hug me, so I'll give them the hug, but as I pull back, my arms slide across their back and rest on their hips, so I am holding them close to me, not letting them back away. But it's gentle, so that if they really wanted to leave, they'd step away and I wouldn't grab them. Anyway, my hands are on their hips, we're close, I look them in the eye and say, "I had a really good time with you." and smile, then look at their lips, lean my body and head closer in, close my eyes just before our lips touch and I aim to kiss their lower lips very gently. At this point, I kiss for like 2 or 3 seconds and then back away. Sometimes they chase and want to kiss again, which I allow for another 1-3 seconds, then I back away again and say something like, "That was really nice. Thank you/Good night. I'll talk to you soon!"

The simplest advice I can give is follow what they do. The first few girls I ever kissed said I was a great kisser, even though I had no idea what the hell I was doing. I just followed their lead.

Also, gently pull their bottom lip with your teeth. But don't bite it (kissed a girl who did this...was not pleasant). A little neck kiss or ear nibble can go a long ways as well.
