I'm in a open relationship too. But I leave mine on. She needs to know up front where my heart is. And if you have Game you shouldn't needed to misrepresent yourself to your new ladies.

In my opinion, take it off. The number of women willing to sleep with a married guy is smaller than the number of women willing to sleep with guys.

I used to wear a fake ring, just to test whether it would give me "social proof" as in, a girl found me attractive. That only lasted a short time, though, because I lost the ring, and didn't find that it really helped me that much.

I honestly didn't have much of a problem during that time. One girl asked after we had already made out, and only days after. She claimed that she never noticed it and that it was her friend (who hooked up with my buddy) who brought it to her attention. Yeah right.

Another girl only asked me AFTER we were up in her hotel room, and I just told her it was fake and why I was wearing it. We got into a conversation and I asked her why some women like to go after married dudes. She said that it made things less complicated, because the guy had other commitments and wouldn't bother them (she was "separated", and young).

I'd say wear it, unless you're just going for ONS. If you think you'd like to keep them around, wear it so you can weed out those who would not be down with the situation as it really is.

Some women like going after married guys. This might even be the kind of women you're looking for.

You will have to judge for yourself. And there's an easy way to find out. Go out with your ring on. Other times, go out with your ring off. Compare the results.

This is literally what we mean when we talk about "field tested techniques." Let us know what you find out.

I've heard of open relationships, but not marriages. But I'd keep it the ring on, or at least let others know that I'm married so they know what they're getting in to.

If you are looking to replace your wife with someone else, keep the ring.

If you're only looking for some fun here and there, keep the ring, it sends a message, the right message.
