Exactly this. Want to speed up seduction? Take the "interview" feeling out of the equation. As others have suggested make the 1st date a small, non-committal meeting (i.e. coffee shop) bonus points if you can sit next to her and not directly across from her. It matters. Facing someone feels confrontational. 2nd date do an activity together but in public (builds trust). 3rd date dinner at your place with wine and candles (vanilla scented is said to turn women on... let me know if you've heard different).

Go to a concert in the park. Spread a blanket. Bring some chairs. Grab some beers or wine (or what ever her preference - fucking ask so you don’t fuck up!). If you’re hungry after and they don’t have food trucks (fun, popular and casual) go grab some pizza or other casual food.

Well, another reason is that first dates shouldn't be too long. Not more than an hour, tops. After that if you aren't fucking it's best to take off because you want to leave them wanting more. Restaurant dates tend to take longer, whereas coffee shops are short.

Went up to bar for a beer. Two of the contest girls. Giving me a very obvious ((young people are so funny when they think they are slick) check out look. I ignore them (no direct look so they think I didn’t see). Order a beer. One next to me says what do they have here. I call the very female (stacked) bartender by name (ALWAYS be in a first name basis with the staff of your hunting grounds - it enables instant trust that you are safe and not a creep) and ask what kind of IPA ‘s she has (I know but the gal had asked so I played dumb and friendly). She tells me. I turn briefly and ask her which she likes. She tells me. I order her one “on my tab Jess!”
I’m gonna skip the other details it’s getting long. She is nearly half my age and I was fucking her in my car a little over an hour later.
If it’s gonna happen, it will happen THEN!
I have a rule that is like the three date rule for women.
I will give them three shots to give it up. First date is always an option to quit it though if it’s obviously a waste of time. But understand (I’m in the US - it’s different elsewhere) that women here have weird morals driven into them about good girl vs slut. So a lot won’t give it up on date one or two just on general principle. That’s fine.
But if by date three you aren’t leaving early from whatever you are doing so that she can ride you like Secretariat, I’m usually out early and off to plan B - head to a familiar spot to find what’s available to make up for wasted time.

If “go for a walk” or “hike” is centered around any kind of nature trail area that has even slightly secluded spots and you aren’t bending her over in one of those spots within twenty minutes, cut bait she’s not into you and you are wasting time.

I’m not a braggart or a liar. I’m posting to simply offer some benefit to everyone from my life experience.
Without exception every initial meetup or later one where the woman brought up a walk or hike I was fucking her on location the minute we were in a place she felt comfortable.
I have a regular FWB that I meet at a local nudist area (her suggestion - we have gone to her place, mine and hotels many times) and fuck out in the open by the river.
The first time she was nervous because she’s a recovering alcoholic and had never done this stuff sober. But the second my dock was in her she forgot about the people around us.

If you go to a restaurant or wherever it is, best thing to do is not overthink and be yourself.
The less you think, the more you will relax, the more you relax the more you will be able to enjoy, the more you enjoy, chances are the other person will enjoy too.
One issue with dating tips, is people take them like instructions and start to behave robotically, that does come awkward and puts pressure on people, something like stage pressure.
So just do the following, trust yourself that you are a good catch.
Let the date go out of your control,, go with the flow, and try to share your emotions. If you are anxious mention it. Yeah I have started to realize this.
When it first came around as a suggestion it had a few guys that were obviously either older and experienced or uber self confident.
I have the good fortune to be both and be a really good people reader. Of course my first six years of college were as a psych major so that helps.
