"I'll let you know" means that she's got a possibility of some other plans, and they're probably with long-time close friends rather than a potentially awkward date with a relatively new guy, so she wants to keep that door open.

Don't overthink it. Don't get so invested. And also don't be too available! If she doesn't confirm in a timely manner, plan to use that time that she could have had with you, and go do something really cool by yourself. Now, if she gets back to you late and says she's still interested, you can tell her "sorry, you took too long getting back to me, so I made other plans." And have some photos of whatever it is when you do it, so that when she runs into you the following week, you can show her what a fun and interesting person you are and what she missed out on by leaving you hanging.

You need to establish early on the frame that you are not gonna text more, that you only text for setting up dates, and that you dont usually use your phone or text because you are busy.

What a girl wants from you is irrelevant, what matters is what you want, and see if it matches with what she wants, if she wants something else then next, you don’t change for her.

If she says “i’ll let you know” i guarantee you that 99 times out of 100, the girl will NEVER let you know.

IMO there’s only two reasons she would say “I’ll let you know” but still want to keep texting you/want you to text her.

She may want to hangout with you, but she wants to get to know you more over text before going on a date. This could be to make sure you’re worth her time, to make sure you’re not a creep, or just to make sure she actually likes you. Or…
She wants the validation of having you text her, but she doesn’t plan on actually hanging out with you. She likes knowing you like her, and probably having someone to text when bored.

It’s hard to tell which it is without more context.

Without a lot of context to work with, what you texted, what the conversation was like here's a couple ways to handle.

The first thing I want to say before I move forward, is that it sounds like maybe you didn't set up a date correctly. There is a path that makes this incredibly easy. And it later makes it incredibly easy if she says "I'll let you know" or stops responding -- because if you know what part of the process she stopped responding, you can figure out what the problem is.

\**How to set up a date:**\**

First: You send you first text. Maybe just your name with a winky face or "hey it's [your name] ;)" or "hey trouble ;) ~[Yourname]". Build a little investment or tease over text.
Second: Within 2-4 texts go for a Soft Close: "We should get together sometime soon" or "We should catch a drink sometimes soon and celebrate"
Third: Figure out her schedule "What's your schedule like this week" / "What nights are you free"
Fourth: Day of date or day before date confirm. "hey trouble, still good for tonight?"

If she says "I'll let you know" at the second step -- on a soft close -- you likely have to get her to invest more.

If she says "I'll let you know" at the third step -- after agreeing to go on a date or meeting up at some point -- it's likely a life or scheduling issue.

Last if you have gone back and forth on her agreeing to a date and she's just being a pain to set up a date with, you may have to call out her behavior. This can be done many ways, but something along the lines of: "are you always this difficult to make plans with" -- and then you can get into the reasons for her not commiting to a time to meet up. Maybe its life, maybe logistics -- and you might have to take the attitude of "pick a night" or "look we can both find a couple hours to meet up if we really wanted to"

"I'll let you know" at second step: Text in 3-4 days. Restart conversation. Don't pursue old thread. Just say "how's your sunday funday going" or anything really
"I'll let you know" at third step, after she's agreed to meet up sometime: 'no worries. lmk when you figure out your schedule' / 'no worries. Lmk when you're free. Maybe we'll find a few hours to say hello'
1. If a 5-7 days pass. Send a low investment text. Don't ask about date. just something like 'hey trouble' -- or a tease or an invite to have fun "at [bar name] tonight. come say hello if you have time for handsome men in your schedule"
If this has been on going process of trying to get her out for a while:
1. Call out the behavior. "you always this difficult to make plans with" or "pick a night" -- this implies you're not used to this socially, that she is being difficult and waste both of your time, and in reality this is about to be one of your last texts to her unless something moves forward or she gives a valid reason or opens up and tells you her concerns.
2. If that doesn't work, last text to her: "I'm going to try and move this forward one last time. And then I'm done. Lmk what night works for you"

Setting up a date should be easy, casual, leading from a quick hello, little investment to soft closing (testing the waters), then figuring out her schedule, and then confirming.
