Just don't talk to them all summer until you go back to school, then you will have a whole summer of fun things you did to talk about with her when everyone is back in school.

Don't bother. You'll see them soon enough. If they text you, sure, respond, but don't carry it out too long. You should be out having fun during the summer, not sitting at home texting women you won't see for another couple months.

so far the hive mind is not to text her. i humbly disagree.

keeping a girl on the back burner is important if you travel a lot or in this case you're on summer break. sometimes same night lays or day two's are just not an option and it's easy to build attraction over a long period of time through text/phone and hook up the next time you're in town.

i like to tease girls in texts, something that is obviously teasing like "hey trouble maker, are you being good today?" she will almost always reply with something along the lies that she is always being good or she isn't a trouble maker. to which i reply i heard police sirens and figured she was wreaking havok on the city again. regardless what she says next i do not reply.

after a few weeks to a month i will text her something that doesn't require a response from her... something like the old "I just saw the dorkiest looking spider and thought of you." stay away from the normal things dudes would say like how are you today or hows your summer vacay?

a couple weeks before you return give her a heads up you're returning to her city and that you guys should grab coffee or whatever. she will of course agree. dont set anything solid until you are actually back and you should call her to set plans.

Get a snapchat.

That app is gold for keeping in contact with people and investing absolutely nothing. Once or twice a day I take a picture of something interesting I'm doing and send it to a group I've made of girls that are gone for the summer.

It's working wonders.

My ex-fiancee, she and I met RIGHT before summer, made a good impression on each other, then did NOT chat until we got back to school. A month later we were together.

I actually had this same dilemma, you just have to be alpha. Text her first, if she doesn't respond within a half hour, send the same message, she probably was busy at the time. Then if she doesn't respond, call her, leave a voicemail expressing your interest in her. She will see that you are alpha and want to go out. Tell her that you and her are going to a movie, tell her, don't ask. Hope this helps!

If the intent is actual communication maybe you should try messaging over a social network or perhaps set up Skype dates
