I was a power user (mark) back in the day. Gave them a ton of money and time, met most of them, went deep, had a lot of experiences both good and bad. Was a true believer for a while, then agnostic, then I despised them, and now I wish they were still around. In their original, non-embarrassing form, circa 2012-2015.

Were they a net positive for you, in the long view? Net negative? Why?
