This is a pretty bad frame because even if your story isn't cringe (depends on how you told it tbh), you're seeking her approval with the frame. Callback to the date is good though but callback to something you teased her about.

Telling her things like: “_I’m glad that whatever I did during the date didn’t turn you off_” by itself turns her off if she wasn’t already, even if you try to say it as a joke. Because it shows your insecurity and neediness.

Don’t joke about that stuff, because women automatically read through the lines and still see your insecurity through the humour attempt. Never talk or act like you are secretly hoping she would give you approval because you lose frame. You don’t need to be glad that x thing you did or said didn’t turn her off, let alone communicate that “relief” to her.

Match her responses...if she's gives short answers between long pauses you do the same. If she gives long answers often again do the same.

Try to appeal to all her emotions and not you screwing up. You following up about the Thai midget made her doubt you. Not the first time you said it, but when you asked later.

Be sensual and into her with most responses and treat her like a person not someone you want to fuck.

That callback text was not the right vibe. Don’t say/send shit to her that essentially conveys to her that she brings more to your life than you do to hers, or that you’re scared to/glad you didn’t lose her by being yourself.

Also the “I’ll talk to my friends” thing isn’t a great sign. If they’re into you, they’ll make time and not be on the fence. In the future, don’t try and lock down the second date while you’re still on the first one.

Feels like you are trying too much, women subconsciously enjoy drop of a mystery and uncertainty. Remember that sexual attraction should be main reason for you to get with each other, you don’t need to buy her affection with attention, gifts, fancy time, these are but a background for you to escalate and create connection. If she takes away her involvement, you should adjust to that accordingly.
