What do you guys think about PUA going mainstream?

It won't change things, at all.

I am a magician and the same thing has happened with magic over last 20 years with the internet.

The thing you have to realize is that most people are stupid, and even with all the education and practice in the world they aren't top performers. People are lazy, and forgetful. They won't work on their inner game which requires challenging yourself.

This is totally wrong, it works because women like confident attractive men. Even if I broke down every single step of seduction to girl(and I HAVE) it still works, because you are the man.

I have heard of girls who have picked up on it and heard stories of guys being complete arses - negging all the way and generally being smug assholes.

Other things I've noticed is - I'm older now so don't really do any PUA stuff any more - but when I see younger guys doing it, I hear the same old clichés from The Game... 'I'm a lion-tamer' etc.

When enough people have heard it, and then you use those lines it's going to be hugely embarrassing.

To me, this question is like asking what happens when makeup and sexy attire become mainstream. Do those things suddenly lose their appeal?

The deal is, game and makeup are two sides to the same coin. Game is men saying, "I think I know how the female brain works. I think these are the things that women want. I am going to change myself so that I give them what they want." When women wear makeup and dress up, they are saying, "I think I know how the male brain works. I think these are the things that men want. I am going to change myself so that I give them what they want."

To me, the enormous irony of it all is that women are portrayed as victims in both situations. People say that men changing themselves for the purpose of picking women is "manipulative." But then when women do the same thing, does anyone say that women are manipulative? No, they say those poor poor women, woe unto them, our oppressive culture forces them to put on makeup.

Men are hardwired to like certain things in women. Mostly, it's signals of youth. Women alter their appearance to either emphasis those signals or fake them. And we men really like those things. It's totally natural. Similarly, women are hardwired to like certain behaviors in men. Much of game is simply emphasizing or faking those behaviors.

Some people believe that these behaviors are the result of culture, but that's not true. Culture is the generation of boys that we raised to be timid and afraid of women. Our culture has produced a bunch of frustrated, unhappy people. Game is what's natural, and previous generations did it naturally. I'll tell you what happens when every man in the world who wants to have game learns it: both men and women will be happier.

I think it's a good thing for several reasons:

I believe that the world would be a better place the more we help lonely, insecure guys become confident, high value individuals.
It exposes and hopefully eliminates PUA techniques that are too gimmicky, canned, hardcore, manipulative and disingenuous.
As a consequence, it'll promote methods that are more focused on helping guys develop their own attractive persona that fits their personality.

It will kill the game for people who cannot truly internalize the seduction principles--who rely on routines, stories, and behaviors that originated from someone else, and therefore do not represent them in an honest and sincere way.

When you become a high value male there is no "magic" to work on people. You are attractive because of your inner qualities, outlook on life, positive attitude, and lifestyle, as opposed to the lines you say, the routines you perform, or the tricks you play. Anyone thinking seduction is using the "right" sequence and combination of things to do is playing a losing game.

This comes from a scarcity mentality based on the fact that you think that seduction is a set of rudimentary and interchangeable techniques anyone can employ. As I said earlier, seduction and self-development is about become the best version of you.

Each seducer should have his own unique style and way of adding value based on his personality. You DHV with your own stories. You tease with your own brand of humor. You touch her in a way no one else can. You are a unique person, not the sum of the sum of the pickup techniques you learn.

Take a second to consider all the applications of this phrase: "The more I give, the more I get in return."

I really haven't heard any mainstream advertising for pickup as of yet but I do have something to say. Your idea of women being unaware that pickup artists are "working their magic" on them is a pretty funny sentiment. Back in the Mystery saga of pickup, there was indeed magic. There was indeed secrets. But the more modern approaches to pickup are just advocating accepting yourself first and foremost - inner game, as it's called - which in turn reflects on the way you act. There is no magic that is being casted on women with the more modern extent of pickup.

Canned lines and routines being public knowledge is bad for canned lines and routines, but those are nothing more than poor crutches for absolute beginners; it's OK if they go the way of the dodo. For the rest of it, attraction isn't going to change that fast. What we like, what we like to see and hear, ways to communicate effectively, those are timeless as far as we need be concerned.

Fitness has gone mainstream. Look at all the fitness studios everywhere! Look at the magazines, internet pages - everybody and his dog has got something to share about fitness. Obviously we will not longer be able to stand out. Soon the streets will be crowded with lean, muscular guys showing off the ripped abs. Wait. Why doesn't this happen?

Same for seduction. That said, I see a potential danger of being ridiculed if one serves the "PUA stereotypes" ("who is lying more, men or women?") or is behaving exceptionally clumsy and try-hard.

At this point a lot of "pickup" companies have realized that routines etc are played out, and most are focusing on natural game. The thing about natural game is kind of the lack of obvious "pickup" so, I don't think it's a big deal.

This confidence-building in the world of seduction is designed to make you interesting to women。 Your job is to entertain them。 If you can't do that，they move on。 If they hear or see something too much they'll get bored。If too many men know basic PUA skills，the women will just evolve their mate-seeking requirements。 It might become more income-based selection，or they might require you to spend more time entertaining them in order to be chosen。
