seems pretty accurate. Although as far as cheating women go i think there is a lot of self fulfilling prophecy going on with this in the PUA community. If you're banging lots of chicks you are almost certainly going to do so with girls who are cheating on their boyfriends simply by the rules of averages. Whereas for obvious reasons your never going to have sex with a girl who has a boyfriend and doesn't cheat on him.
So you end up in a sort of confirmation bias loop, where it seems like you can get any girl if your game is tight enough, and while technically speaking you could, many of the girls you "lose" due to your perceived lack of technique would be happy to fuck you if they were single.
imo.
[–]testmypatience0 points 14 years ago* [recovered] (10 children) | Copy Link
So you are saying some women won't cheat and are actually loyal to their men?
[–]rustoof 2 points3 points4 points 14 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link
Strictly speaking no i'm not. There must by definition be a hypothetical "tipping point."
For many drunk american college sluts the "tipping point" happens after three martinis and a long discussion about the merits of beauty and the beast vs. the little mermaid.
Or you could have a "virtuous" woman who would "never" cheat on her SO but due to evolutionary factors can not take a game assault from george clooney and succumbs.
And finally you have a woman who might cheat on you with achilles or ghengis khan... but they're not alive so you are in fact safe.
In my opinion the tipping point also varies with the men in question. Have no game? More likely to get cheated on. Have no money? More likely to get cheated on. Have no time to spend? More likely to get cheated on.
and so on and so forth.
However with the proper application of game, work life balance, and responsible mature partner selection (i.e. an 8 thats great is better than a 10 that sins) you can make it very unlikely you get cheated on barring celebrities falling for her.
And additionally given the reality of pick up i bet many many people here have cheated on their girls at some point, and you're delusional to think they don't have the same opportunities and feelings that you did. In fact they have far greater opportunity most of the time.

As a guy who has gone from open relationship to being single to being in a monogamous relationship it is very very difficult for me to not want to fuck other women regardless of how much I care for my woman. I have told her this as I am open about everything. She doesn't like this but knows I am able to very easily. I wouldn't cheat because I hate breaking those rules. I even know that certain women would make me weak but still could never break me. Not sure how you could possibly test or know a person that is like that.
Yes it bothers me that there are guys willing to because she is in fact fucking awesome as all hell. The whole mythical unicorn kind of shit.
Tipping point, yes, sounds exactly what I and many others worry of. I'm going to just keep calm and moving on and if it comes to her fucking up well then I guess I will cross that shitty bridge when it comes. :)
[–]rustoof 1 point2 points3 points 14 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
And remember the vast majority of the time you get cheated on you never even learn about it so no worries. :)

From my friend the natural, whom I learned most from, he would often echo the same thing about women and their AMAZING ability to cheat, regardless of situation. Nobody wants to hear it, least of all women, but it's true.
Oh, are you talking about the tips below? Yeah that's about right, like he said, practice gets you laid.
[–]Dfnoboy15 points 14 years ago* [recovered] (6 children) | Copy Link
His tips are 100% solid.
His philosophy is completely wrong. He had some bad oneitis once - completely in love with a girl and he was going to give up his player ways for her. Then she cheated on him and now he wont vote for a woman president.
or something
[–]finkicare 6 points7 points8 points 14 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Not voting for a women president is somewhat of an odd statement as the character of woman who arrives in such a place is likely far different from that of the typical young women in the dating scene. Apart from this, I would agree with the realities he espouses, particularly on the flighty, living in the present, emotional/whimsical post-event rationalization behaviour of most women.
[–]Theyus 6 points7 points8 points 14 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Permit me this diatribe:
I understand the concept of oneitis, and in my early years, I tried to avoid it. Something nagged at me; why would it be considered bad? The community will say that you should have abundance mentality, and be outcome dependent, that you should be able to shake off any woman and understand they're replaceable. And, I'll allow these thoughts in certain circumstances.
However, the idea that we should not be upset when we lose a quality woman is just asinine. "Abundance mentality" should not include the numbing of our experiences, and it shouldn't mean bashing someone for being upset for losing a quality relationship. In my opinion, if you're not upset with losing a quality woman, then you never had a quality relationship.
The fact of the matter is, truly valuable women and truly valuable relationships can not and will not be replaced by "going out and banging 10 women a night." This solution is effective for reinforcing confidence and maybe keeping things in perspective, but it should be recognized that oneitis is the recognition of a valuable person in our lives sharing a valuable relationship.
TL;DR: While oneitis has its place in the community, it should be distinguished from the idea that "every woman's replaceable and if you disagree, you have oneitis." Value is value and should be valued and missed.
[–]Dfnoboy 2 points3 points4 points 14 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
I agree.
The (supposed hypothetical) thought here is that Mr. 4chan let a past experience negatively influence his mentality. Remember the words "supposed hypothetical".
But I would go so far as to challenge you a bit. I agree value is value, and nothing will replace pasts experiences, and sure you may be upset when you lose that BUT...
THE ABUNDANCE MENTALITY STILL EXISTS. You girlfriend broke up with you? I know you're sad bro, but did you know that there is actually a girl out there that you will like MORE? True story.
[–]Theyus 4 points5 points6 points 14 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Nah, I get that. That kind of mentality is healthy and will keep things into perspective.
However, it seems the community associates any pursuit of one woman as a bad thing. Consider this: You can get 10 women a night that would be solid LTRs (winning some and losing some), but there is one woman that clicks with you and resonates with you in a way that only screening would show. She blows through your screening, is attractive to all your standards, and you have great chemistry.
But, she doesn't want to be involved with anyone. (Whatever reason)
Now, abundance mentality says "well, she's one of many, go for someone you can get and let this one be a loss. No biggie, there's someone at least as good out there." So, you settle for keeping her around (I mean, hey, she's cool, she's attractive, and she resonates with you, why not?).
Over time, you develop a friendship of inside jokes, exciting events, and even develop some cool memories together. While you're still getting women, this one just resonates with you better than they seem to. She's more than sex, she's developed a connection with you that is legitimately rare (even if there is more than one).
She meets all of your standards and is a high value chick that you have a great connection with (established over time). And she is on your mind. "DUDE! ABUNDANCE MENTALITY! IT'S JUST ONEITIS! YOU JUST NEED TO GO GET OTHER CHICKS AND SHE'LL BE GONE, BRO!"
That's not how it works, nor should it be. As soon as you consider everyone in your life replaceable, they lose not only value, but any meaning in your life. It's a dangerous mentality to slip into.
[–]Dfnoboy 4 points5 points6 points 14 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I don't think anyone disagrees with you.
Abundance mentality until you don't want to. No one is telling you not to fall in love, that' just not the point of Seduction.
The point of Seduction is meet and intimately connect (sleep with) as many women as possible, which MAXIMIZES your chances of meeting a woman and falling in love. It will also give you lots of experience with women, which is good because a lot of guys tend to "fall in love" with the first woman that shows interest in them because they don't know any better, and this is when they really develop oneitis.
No one is saying you can't fall in love. Oneitis doesn't refer to love. It refers more to obsession and feelings of inadequacy (she's the only one that could love me!)
[–]Theyus 0 points1 point2 points 14 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
We're agreeing my friend. :P
It's more for the noob/intermediates that take things literally and don't distinguish facts. I might be preaching to the choir on seddit, but there is a chunk of the community that views every single connection to one female as oneitis that should be resisted.
I believe we're on the same page, and again, I'm probably preaching to the choir.
[–]VinSwift6 points 14 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
A lot of generalization and false assumptions. Only thing I can see is the guy is pessimistic as fuck but has enough confidence to approach women a lot. The fact that he compares women to dogs is particularly telling that he's an idiot.
However, once he gets down to his list of "tips", they're pretty accurate. In fact, they're echoed all over seddit, look in almost any thread and you'll likely find one.
So basically, this guy used standard seduction information to try and sell an extremely biased view and hopes that you buy it because his info is legit (although rather unrelated.)

Assuming that everything anon said is true...
You attract the people you want to attract.
There are 3 billion girls in this world. One guy isn't going to attract nearly a large enough portion of girls to judge all women (at least in the United States I'm guessing) completely. He's slept with over 200 women, but he probably can't take an accurate percentage of the girls who cheated with him. Maybe if all 200 of them had boyfriends and husband she'd be onto something,

That this dude is an idiot who can't hold the two ideas of "women want to fuck me" and "women are good people" in his head at once.
What gets to me is the idea that female disloyalty renders them inferior. Men are idiots who act according to manipulatable patterns, too, and cheat, too.
Plus, some stuff is plain wrong (ie, women hate when you're logical; no, it all depends on your congruence/frame). This is a classic "natural reverse-engineering his own bullshit theories out of his own success and getting it about 40% right at a depth level of 20%."
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 14 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I think his point is that women are not loyal.
[–]shivalry 2 points3 points4 points 14 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
And mine is: "and men are?"
[–]finkicare 2 points3 points4 points 14 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Dude, you must be new. The true nature of MOST women are as this man described, I was nodding my head in agreement along the way. You have not fully awaken to the realities of the female mind. As the author said, no hate, it is just in their nature, just as most men are logical, competitive, hierarchical, etc, women live intensely in the present and are incredibly motivated by their 'feelings'. There is no distain or dislike with this realization, it just 'is'. This results in extreme low levels of loyalty, particularly in todays society with young women.
Inferior in the sense of how men judge other men (loyalty, valuing your word). You have some real world experience to encounter yet my friend, your eyes will be opened.
[–]shivalry 1 point2 points3 points 14 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Nope. I'm not disagreeing with the ideas about women he's enumerating, I'm disagreeing with his judgement of this as bad. And men are just as emotionally driven, albeit in different ways (approach anxiety, supplication, manipulatable by hot women).
P.S. Nice condescension - must mean you're really successful.

I don't see that he is an idiot, he is just being totally honest. He says right at the start that his preconception about women has come from disney cartoons and the like. He is angry that he has been indoctrinated from an early age to be a jealous and covetous moron.
[–]shivalry -1 points0 points1 point 14 years ago (17 children) | Copy Link
When you're honest about opinions that are untrue or negative, you're an idiot. I'm fine with everything except the language he uses which judges the women for their behavior.
[–]mattyisagod 0 points1 point2 points 14 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link
I think when you are honest about negative opinions all you are doing is leaving yourself open to psychoanalysis. The guy probably did have his heart broken at some point, but this could have been mediated by appropriate teaching about the female psyche at an appropriate time in his childhood; as opposed to the sickly sweet, pathological lifetime pair bonding propagated by disney films. It's sad that the fastest route to the purest forms of love for a man are through a woman, it's easy to do yourself some serious damage. To acknowledge his anger and write about it like he did leaves the reader with hope that he addresses the fundamental issue and look for what he needs from more viable sources.

What the fuck are you talking about.
I know it sounds fucked up but its a widely accepted truth of psychology. Being responsible for your opinions is like being responsible for your natural hair colour, or your skin colour; it doesn't make sense.

Look, you can change your opinions according to meta decision-making rules like rationality and skepticism, and you can even change those meta decision-making rules according to higher level goals (i.e., adopting rational skills to better serve utilitarianism). This guy is an idiot because he has not adopted or successively run rational enough self-examination to a degree where he can investigate his low level, tribal, negative opinions on women, figure out the shades of gray he was missing, and hold more rigorous opinions going forward. This makes him an idiot according to my very definition of idiot.
Responsibility: you made me think a lot about this (thank you). The conclusion that I've come to: yes, he's not "wholly" responsible for his opinions in the way that no one is "wholly" responsible for anything due to underlying determinism.
However, my definition of "responsible" means "in control of," and it is he (specifically, his decision-making processes) that creates and changes his opinions, even if these act within a larger deterministic system; that is, he is a part of the system which has direct control over another part, even if he himself is controlled by other parts. In other words: illogical, or otherwise non-rigorous opinions can be traced back to a faulty decision-making system, which can be said to be "responsible" for those opinions. I like to call those decision-making systems "idiots" when they fall below an arbitrary level of rigorous self-analysis that renders them ineffective logical agents for my practical purposes of discussion, learning, and cross-analysis.
Thanks for the reply, I enjoyed reading it.
He says right at the start of the thing that he loves women, then he talks about their behaviour with respect to predominantly male behaviour.
The perception of his negative opinions is coming from you, you're projecting the negativity onto what he is saying.
It's the part where he says women are inferior to men.
By the standards men set for other men.
Men are inferior to women by standards women set for other women.
Dogs are inferior to cats by standards cats set for other cats.
[–]gabriot -2 points-1 points0 points 14 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Different != Inferior
"according to the standards men hold for other men"
He states his philosophical premise right at the start. It's just that in modern societies peer attachment is becoming a greater force. With parent attachment waning then the standards men hold for other men becomes the guiding ideology.
The inadequate parent leads to the fundamental emotional failure of the libido (unless he DOES feel unconditional love for each girl every time he busted over their faces). Without that then sex becomes itself the object of desire, rather than the girl.
