He groomed her. She was vulnerable. The age gap MATTERS because of the power and the dynamic, it is said to be wrong because there's a huuuuge imbalance of experience the older man usually actively exercises or just passively enjoys the power. It's not because we are afraid that he looks like a sagging ballsack or that he will die much earlier than the woman, though these are factors to consider too, but because it's textbook predatory behaviour to lock down a young and inexperienced woman.

In all seriousness, this post is absolutely heartbreaking. The commenter who talked about getting his kicks off on her being a teen is spot on. Now that she isn't a teen anymore, he wants to hear about her traumatic experiences as one. Disgusting.

I once dated a man who had been raped as a child. He brought it up to me. I listened to him, sympathized with him, I felt sad for him, I told him I appreciated he felt comfortable sharing, and I never brought it up again. That's basically how it should go.

All this posts I’ve been seeing on Reddit, I will never tell a man about my past and any of my hardships, it’s like some men don’t see women as fully human, I break down when I hear my friends or even strangers on the internet talk about their abuse. But for men it’s a way for them to get off on it, on her trauma and her pain, how sick is that. I feel so bad for her

This man is a straight up pedophile. He's not even one of those misogynists that think women expire after 30 - he's primarily attracted to underage/barely legal girls. OP is still so young but she's not barely legal anymore and probably looks more like a woman than the teenager he met; mid 20s is generally where women begin losing their baby fat and other adolescent markers and start looking more grown. He's losing attraction and can't get it up for her anymore because he's a pedophile so he gets off to memories of her being sexually abused as a child. If she doesn't leave, he will 100% cheat on her or leave her for a teenager (if he's not already). It also wouldn't surprise me one bit if they met while she was a minor and he just groomed her and bided his time until she was legal.

I HATE that every time a woman posts about her evil husband's or boyfriend's pedophilia/rape/insert deviant kink, she has to preface it with "I’m not a prude by any means!!" As if she has to prove how "sexually adventurous" she is to justify her perfectly reasonable disgust and hurt at the man's behavior. As if other people get to decide what is ok and what is not ok and her feelings and boundaries mean nothing.
