I, and many (not all) other people here in MRA spaces have thought that feminists rarely ever actually advocate for mens issues, or not at all. Many of us have seen online and heard feminists say "feminism helps men too!!" And we roll our eyes because we think it's not true,

Well, I've come to find out that yes, feminists do advocate for men (I know that r/MensLib has a very poor reputation in r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates, but just bear with me).

I also came across a comment which linked many feminist/feminist leaning/women's groups services which help men

Here's a link to a website called "everydayfeminism" which talks about the male rape epidemic They have very similar talking points to us, it's very interesting.

Now, does this let feminism off the hook? Not at all. Because for a long time, powerful feminist groups have been shutting down mens advocacy groups (scroll down to Section 5: Harmful gender politics, 2. Hostility to acknowledging/addressing mens issues (the reason why I didn't link them is because I'm on mobile and the texts are long, and it would take a while to copy everything).

Also, in the USA, Obama, and other feminists blocked a White House council on Men and Boys, despite there being a council for Women and Girls

Now, notice how most if not all of these mens advocacy groups that were blocked, and shut down, were not mens advocacy groups associated/affiliated with feminism?

Now onto my theory:

The feminists groups that advocates for men receives no hostility from other feminist groups. They look at mens issues using the feminist lens While the mens advocacy groups that got blocked and shut down did not associate or affiliate themselves with feminism, not to my knowledge atleast.

That's pretty much my theory: that feminists want to monopolize mens advocacy.

What do you all think?
