Wouldn't it be great if PUA was an honorable occupation? Yes, I know most current ones are sexists, obsessed with getting as many one-night-stands as possible and most important of all: frauds. On the other hand: if there are courses for assertiveness, social behavior, networking, doing interviews, why not for approaching women (when you're a straight man) with romantic and/or erotical intentions?

I'll give an example from my own experience. When I was a student and rather shy and awkward, the girlfriend of a friend of mine helped me because she liked helping people. She 'rehearsed' approaching women with me, playing an attractive girl, but acting a bit crabby when I 'confessed' (of course it was all play) that I wanted to be more than a friend, so that I had to defend myself and make myself clear (not acting crabby might have been a good rehearsal too, I think after all those years). You might say she was a very practical PUA for me.

I think lots of men who now visit expensive psychologists might be better helped by bona fide, really qualified PUA's who know what they're talking about and what they're doing. Not?
