What is your opinion on r/mensrights ?

Neutral. I support the idea of the sub and have seen some good analysis there, but ultimately there’s too much low-effort content and too many traditionalists whose views are unhelpful to either sex’s liberation for me to go as far as supporting the sub.

Im glad they exist and they give men a place ro fight their socitial battles and tell their tapes,the same way i believe xxchromosomes or the likes does for the ladies out there. However they are far from perfect and some of the posters and commenters do have a sexist and mysoginst attitude. Some are a bit incel light in that way,if that makes sense.

I don't think they support terrorism though..that's basically about men getting equal status for custody battles and their sexual hrrasment reports being equally important in workplace

It has some great content but lots of crap content, too.

I wish that the balance of posts on mensrights was less skewed to right-wing anti-feminist posts and more towards progressive pro-men posts. I want to be FOR things not AGAINST things.

This sub is better in the balance of things.

There is a fine balance between creating a self-reinforcing crab bucket and a place to vent. I have not hung out there too much but I vote for "neutral" as its good to vent and not boil over.

I subscribe and kind of keep an eye on it, but a lot of the posts are garbage. I support it in theory, but a lot of the criticisms of the space are true. I think more and more men will seek out these spaces in the future as there is more and more awareness. I always notice when there are ask reddit posts about men's issues there are always tens of thousands of upvotes and comments, far more than members of these communities. I'm hopeful that as more people join these spaces they will become more moderate.

r/MensRights is a poorly moderated sub and intended that way for sake of freedom of speech moderators don't remove misogynist or misandrist comments there unless they are extremely hateful or advocate violence.

With that being said you can occasionally see some low-key anti-female comments getting a few upvotes but most misogynist comments actually get downvoted there (although I can say that the general audience there is a bit more tolerant to anti-female comments than anti-male comments when it comes to downvoting them)

My biggest problem with that subreddit is the abundance of low-effort posts. It appears that mods in r/MensRights don't want to intervene to anything unless it's really necessary and just let upvotes and downvotes do the job.

Neutral. While I do love that they don't censor for the most part, which makes me trust them a lot more than other political subs, this has led to an influx of people with vastly different political ideologies, which causes confusion for visitors and allows the sub to be misrepresented much more easily (see AgainstHateSubreddits).

The idea is great but in all honesty it seems that both mra and mgtow reddit communities have alot of womanhaters and bitter, angry men.

Way too many posts and replys are ppl saying woman=bad or some other stuff related to that, like guys, this isnt r/feminism or fem.dating strat. These groups are about men, and the problems they face, not how evil, unequal or whatever word they will use next to describe the situation between genders...

So, like the sub but wome people make it so that visiting it ofthen is painfull

/r/mensrights suffers from lax moderation which leads to a lot of low-effort posts. However, the sub was invaluable for raising mainstream attention to men's issues on reddit and beyond. I was there in the early days and back then every other subreddit was mocking the idea of talking about men's issues at all and claiming that /r/mensrights couldn't have a legitimate purpose because men don't have any issues. It wasn't just feminists saying that either. /r/mensrights got a lot of people to start caring about issues like male rape victims, male victims of domestic violence, male disposability, and male suicide. /r/mensrights gets criticized for hating feminism too much but nobody who cared about men's issues back then would ever question why they hate feminism. Even a place like menslib would have been considered anti-feminist to the average feminist back then.

Some good content. However there is too much cross posting from feminist subs and changing men to women etc to show how sexist the stuff is there. However I don’t think pointing out other people’s sexism will actually help mens rights

I support the sub but it hasn't been very interesting for a number of years. It was pretty interesting for a few years before that and I used to visit it every day, but rarely visit it now

I personally oppose the sub. It mostly revolves around outrage posts rather than any productive discussion. I've seen many misandrists justify their behavior by pointing to one of the many toxic posts coming from the sub. I understand their moderation policy of freedom of speech but at the end of the day, I think the sub does more harm than good. That being said, this sub shares a large portion of it's userbase with r/mensrights so rip my karma.

I like the idea of it but ..it's a hit or miss.

It tends to swing a bit too closely to the far left for my liking. Often discussing tends to shape into men blaming / men shaping and usually "toxic masculinity" takes the crown.

I eventually ended up unsubscribing after finding this sub.

r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates has its own issues as well but at least more often than not , there are conversations with substance regarding men's issues that doesn't always revolve around constantly pointing fingers and balming women/feminists like other communities (looking at you MGTW..)
