Happy International Men's Day to all my fellow ‘lottery winners’.

To those who have it all, in every conceivable way, who supposedly live life on ‘easy mode’, and for whom the idea of a day of thanks and awareness ‘serves no useful function’ – today is for you.

Men who keep the water running, lights on, and the supermarkets full; who plough the fields, climb the scaffolding and pylons, and traverse the sewers. The men who journey into the oceans on fishing boats, who lay brick, who dig deep beneath the earth, fight fires, defend those in need, and who drive unfathomable distances, to keep society working, and their families safe and supported – Happy International Men’s Day.

No doubt today you’ll hear the usual social media whinos talking about how unnecessary men are, and how the world would be ‘better off without them’; but deep down, we all know that society as we know it would come to a catastrophic and immediate halt, if such a thing were to happen.

To the men who suffer in silence. To the men who have such little space to talk. To the men who are hurting, who feel lost, or lonely; you are not alone, you are valid, and we see you.

I urge you to keep going, because the world needs you more than it knows, or will ever dare to admit.

So look past the naysayers, look past the non-believers and bigots, look past those who are too fragile to make these acknowledgements; you do not need the validation of such lowlifes and losers.

Men, you are no less important than the world’s women, and this day is for you.

Always remember it is okay to be a man, or a boy, and that you are not toxic, broken, or defective. You are not oppressors, tyrants, or patriarchs.

You are who you are, men, in whatever way you chose to be, and that’s all that matters.

So to all the men, and those who love them, happy International Men's Day.

This is absolutely sad.

I'm honestly weary on celebrating a day that is associated with plumbing usage.

I understand that society sees men as the "better sex", and yet it's depressing bs like this that needs to be a huge wake up call for men who are too busy worshipping the asses of women.

Men basically created this world that we are enjoying now. THIS is the thanks our ancestors and forefathers get?

This bullshit?

I'm really not minding if the world succumbs to its doom one day, we're actually having a world where men are being seen as not only invisible, but beings for gynocentricism to mess with, oh, unless we need to protect women and children.

This, however, is uplifting, and I'm glad that these messages can be at least said, especially on places like social media platforms.

These past few months there were so many instances where I was contemplating suicide. Literally no one in my vicinity gives a shit for what I'm going through. But I guess I shouldn't complain, I'm a "lottery winner" afterall.

Happy International Men’s day, fellow Men!

I don’t know what’s so offensive about celebrating Men, especially considering the circumstances in the 5th slide. If your mentality dictates that celebrating Men is somehow underestimating womankind then maybe you are the part of the problem.

Men suffer, by ”hitting the jackpot” we aren’t less human than women. Our problems are problems too and they deserve every right to be heard just like yours. We too deserve to be represented and not be taken for granted.

I think this is a good day to reflect on how much mens rights activists have accomplished in the last year. What are some of the changes MRAs have made in the last year and how can we do more in the following year?

I get complaining about the doodle is easier, but why not focus on some of the positive changes we’ve accomplished?

I actually prefer this. Being a man is not an accomplishment. Neither is being a woman, being straight, gay, bisexual, white, black, asian, etc. I'd rather do away with all these days in favor of celebrating accomplishments. International I.T. Day would be a fun one. Or International Doctor's Day.
