Don't generalize a group. Never say "women are ", or "feminists all think that _".

What about in cases where it is feminist organizations or popular feminists we call out on their lies? If we are not able to point out how feminism is a flawed subject via pointing out gaping holes in the statistics they use what are we expected to do? Or the things these organizations push for such as laws in favor of women instead of everyone. It is extremely hard to argue against a social science which is what feminist theory is without resulting to the same thing of saying women are___ because at its base it does the same thing with either women are___ or men are ___ without backing up such things and many of those things are impossible to back up or research.

The other problem with this is not to invoke Godwin but to us it is like saying we can't insult Nazis because some Nazis were not bad people. Obviously this is true but as an organization they did terrible things hence the anger. Many of the people here feel feminism has either indirectly or directly hurt them and when feminists are told this their response tends to be to bad you had "privilege" before this so suck up the pain or other such nonsense. You are basically asking us to ask a question sit down shut up and not argue the fact which frankly I could go read a feminist website if I wanted that.

The top level comment must be from a feminist has me scratching my head isn't this entirely upvote based? It is a easy system to game and ripe for abuse if so.

Why would you willingly give someone who wants to argue with you the upper hand and follow rules that favor them? That isn't equality yet again.

edit: being unable to link our sites is hardly fair either I think AVFM has issues and needs to be more moderate but if it has a valid point in an article it has a valid point. Do they have to follow the same rules for the sites they use?

edit once again: I like the idea behind a safe space and a place to freely exchange ideas and thoughts and argue without resorting to childish idiocy but I feel this is not the best way to do it.

I know you all think there is a lot of censorship, but I think the main problem is that there is a different moderation policy.

I'm sorry - it's nice that you think you are making a difference, but you are not. Trying to call it by something other than what it is does not make it something else.

How do you or r/feminists justify an attack on an individual or group? If you were to attack my beliefs or view, I could regard that as an attack on me as my views and beliefs very much define my character.

Also what is considered an attack? Is it like looking at some of the points of feminism like the wag gap and saying "hey, there are many researches done to disprove this so please stop telling everyone about it" or something else entirely.
