Hey MRAs,

I'm hallashk, and I frequent AskFeminists, Feminism, and MensRights here on reddit all the time. I argue the MRM's viewpoint in AskFeminists, and I approach every issue with scientific skepticism. Today, many of you showed you support for my points of view in recent posts.

In light of recent events, I think I should list the top 3 reasons I've seen MRAs get banned.

First and foremost, coarse language is the main reason that MRAs are banned from AskFeminists. MensRights has a different policy on slurs than AskFeminists. Think of AskFeminists as an office you've just walked into, and use appropriate language.

Secondly, don't attack a person or group, attack their view. If you are mean to a person, even slightly, it can get you banned. Don't generalize a group. Never say "women are _", or "feminists all think that __".

Third, do not post top-level comments. AskFeminists is designed such that you ask a question, and then it gets answered by feminists, and then those answers can be discussed by anyone. A top level comment isn't the comment with the most upvotes, it's a comment in direct response to the question. I made a diagram below to explain. Top level comments are in bold.

I know you all think there is a lot of censorship, but I think the main problem is that there is a different moderation policy.
