I think there is an evolutionary bias for male disposability.

Throughout evolution, men have fought and killed each other for resources and the right to mate.

Women are more evolutionary valuable as they are the ones that develop the child in their own body, and do so at a slow rate of mostly one at a time for 9 months.

A population could sustain itself on a vastly outnumbered ratio of women to men. I think this is the reason why bisexuality seems to be more common in women, because in the past, women have helped each other raise their children and sex has helped form and maintain bonds with each other. As if the male partner were to die or to abandon the woman and their children they could turn to other women for support.

Having said this, I do think that a male only draft is sexist and there is no reason to treat men and women differently because of their evolutionary value, because the human race is in no risk whatsoever of dying out due to a lack of population. The world is literally dying because the human race has reproduced far too much!

The draft should be removed entirely.

Yes, men on here are sexists against men. Of course, like was proven in Russia during WWII and in Israel, women make fine soldiers and should be drafted along with men.

A couple years ago a judge ruled that exempting women from selective service was discriminatory and unconstitutional. I agree with that ruling. Exempting women is incredibly discriminatory.

That said, men and women are not equal. Women are not men and lowering standards for women in the military to allow more access has shown to be disastrous for women and their comrades.

Consider when they pushed for the first female jet fighter: she crashed, killing herself and billions in damages. I remember a few years ago reading a story of the military going to extremes to rescue a captured female, they never would have had it been a male.

Women have periods, can’t pee the way men do, aren’t as strong, can’t run as fast can’t carry as much and have more mental health issues. These are facts relevant to military. I’m all for qualified women being in the military and even combat, but the fact is men and women overall are no where near equally qualified.

I’m all for equal opportunity, but that doesn’t make men and women equal. Some things men are better at, some things women are better at. It doesn’t bother me some fields such as nursing are female dominated and similarly it doesn’t bother be military combat is male dominated.

Feminists assume that men holding positions of power means men will be advantaged. But they are ignoring the fact that those men in power fairly often pass policies which advantage women over men. Because both men and women prioritize women. Women have a strong in-group bias, and men have a strong out-group bias. Both prioritize women over men.

Feminists project constantly. They know full-well that whenever they have a lick of power, they immediately abuse it to benefit women at the expense of men. They know this. So they project that onto men, assuming that if they are so selfish, then men must also be so selfish. Hence Patriarchy Theory. But those men in power are not selfishly benefitting men above women, as feminists do any time they have power. Those men in power are benefitting women, often at the expense of men.

Its depends if you live in reality or clown world or not.

If you live in reality. Men are on average physically stronger and more capable of fighting in a war. If you want the strongest possible army. Then you want the strongest possible army. Until of course the clowns arrive at the debate in which case they make it sexist.

If they just simply set the bar "this high" and anyone is free to pass the bar. Then there is no sexism. Its that simple.... except only a tiny percentage of women actually pass the grade required.

Hint: The 155mm shell is about 43.5kg of which you will have to lift 100's of times. This is basically like a women lifting 75% or more body weight over and over and expected to basically run with it.

If women were to get drafted you will see so many laws change so quick. Just go check Twitter when it was announced it could happen. Women from all over was talking about protesting it despite having “feminist” and “equality” in their bio.

The only argument I will accept is that mixed gender combat units perform worse than all male combat units. If I got drafted, I would want the most capable people beside me as I head off to battle.

But that's not why they're doing this.

No, they arent sexist. We shouldn't want women to be draftee, we should be fighting to dispose of the draft all together. This is a step in the WRONG direction. We need to show them that no one is cannon fodder!

In this instance, I think it has to do with traditional conservative views about the role of women in society which is just as problematic as the feminist opposition to the draft.
