I'm going to risk getting blasted and say Andre Nickatina's "She Like 2 Say". It's awesome, and sort of my personal RPW theme song, haha. Pretty dirty, and I'm not actually into calling my SO "daddy" (because weird!) but the principles behind the lyrics are pretty spot-on to me. Plus my SO introduced me to his music, so it always makes me think of him :)

Opposite end of the spectrum: Tammy Wynette's "Stand By Your Man". Equally awesome.

"Dance For You" and "1+1" by Beyoncé are a couple of my favorites. I have a fairly extensive love song playlist that I like to listen to while doing things for Husband, but I'm not sure how many qualify as RPW songs. I don't know of a whole lot by women that are specifically about serving our men.

Doris Day has lovely songs that i like to listen to uplift me. It's all about girly stuff and family so I find it always cheerful and cute. Favorites:

But since you brought it up;

I think Don't Make Em Like You and Crowned and Kissed are okay RP-esque songs.

OMI - Cheerleader which has been high up on the charts globally.

Pretty much a sunny pop remix describing how a man feels about his [RP?] woman - she's his cheerleader, always in his corner, gives him love and affection, grants his wishes like a genie in a bottle... no deep themes here but it always makes me smile.

Also this hook makes me laugh: "[she says] Do you need me, do you think I'm pretty, do I make you feel like cheating... and I'm like no, not really.." mostly because the song makes them sound like the shit-tests they are :P

Not necessarily favourites, but my SO and I went to a great jazz concert last week by Cecile McLorin Salvant. She sang two songs back to back that were incredibly RP: "wives and lovers" (can't find a video, sorry! - http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wives_and_Lovers) and "I wish I could shimmy like my sister Kate". ( http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=lpQ_pWev24w) The first basically warns wives to not become complacent, and to remain lovers to her man, or else the hubs may wander, and the second about all the attention a beautiful sister gets above her average sister.

Lots of people (e.g. frank Sinatra, jack Johnson, for whom HuffPo ripped into him for being a misogynist) have covered " wives and lovers". Good stuff, if one is in the mood for something a bit retro.

Haha, not to be an ass but over at TRP today the mods were all pissed off about movies and music posts pertaining to RP. Just weird timing for this post I guess.
