These are all relevant concerns, which are something the mod team are dedicated to combating. Our goals as we grow include:

  • Keeping our signal from going soft.
  • Avoiding feminizing or tempering of language.
  • Limiting trolling including concern trolling.

We have recently adopted AutoModerator and put in some very rigorous rules which are already helping clean up the trash. I think we should be able to maintain quality, in fact I rather like most of the discussion that takes place.

Every so often a blue piller stumbles in with some terrible advice, but we set them straight pretty quickly.

Keep it up, all!

[–][deleted] 26 points27 points28 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Avoiding feminizing or tempering of language.

Please fight for this.

I can't stand how politically correct the entire WORLD is for fear of offending some invisible group of people. It's beyond frustrating. I almost read TRP because it's refreshing to see people not have to use filtered language all the time.

[–]veggie_girl 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

This is why NAWALT is not necessary.

It shouldn't really be used ever. We aren't here to talk about minority fringe cases. You'll only see it from new people still going through the unplugging process.

I've been on TRP pretty much from the start when it was a fledgling community and have been impressed with a lot of its growth and direction.

I dont comment that much because, well most of my time is on ROK now, but one very key takeaway i had from roosh's article above is that you have an off reddit site. I think this is excellent.

As the subreddit grows more and more, there are likely to be increasing attempts to marginalise your group, and even get it banned, or as has been the case with seddit et al, an increasing feminisation of ill formed 'dejected nice guys' who comment first, without actually understanding any of the underlying red pill philosophy. i wont even try to address the 'mark minters' of the world.

Your subreddit is incredibly important. It is the only place for real thinking on reddit. [though /r/changemyview has become more helpful in that regard]

/r/foodforthought is a mess, the other manosphere light reddits are a mess and you guys are pretty much the only one's keep the message together over here.

my only comment besides saying "keep up the good work" is that perhaps you guys may think about laying down a forum on puerarchy if the subreddit gets banned or for lack of a better term "goes tits up".

i hope it does not.

Mods have been doing a good job, good luck

[–]abcd_z 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

but one very key takeaway i had from roosh's article above is that you have an off reddit site.

I second this idea: fork the Reddit code or prepare a secondary forum in case TRP becomes unsalvageable.

[–]veggie_girl -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Whenever you are hosting your community on someone else's site, you are at the host's mercy. They can remove you whenever they want for whatever reason they want.

This isn't so much the case when you sign up for a VPS or even shared-hosting with a private dedicated provider.

[–]NakedAndBehindYou 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (24 children) | Copy Link

concern trolling.

What is this? Serious question.

[–]TRP VanguardHumanSockPuppet 31 points32 points33 points 12 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

It's when people try to change the discourse via soft positional bargaining.

An example of concern trolling would be something like:

I agree with TRP, but it seems like a lot of the discourse is really hostile.

The person qualifies themselves as being an ally (to deflect suspicion of trolling) and then tries to impose a change in behaviour or conduct either by shaming or by making appeals to emotion.

[–]agnostics_make_sense3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

What if they don't use the qualifier and just make a valid point?

[–]TRP VanguardHumanSockPuppet 14 points15 points16 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

What if they don't use the qualifier and just make a valid point?

Then you can have a discussion - which is a good thing.

[–]soapjackal 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I drift this line often on here. I detest confirmation bias (I suffer from that shit so bad, even to the point that listening to feminist / pro-socialist podcasts and vids brings me to visible fury) and even though I have no problem with TRP ( I concur with most wisdom on here and the science is usually good) I usually only make comments in relation to under mining circle jerks and trying to distill the truth.

I have the feeling my Taoist/Stoic roots lead me to ignoring most of the alpha male defense that much of 'puearchy' (as a concept, not the website) entails. Maximizing sexual strategy isn't a personal goal (getting laid isnt that hard if you make the right choices in your life) and I would prefer to focus on self-destruction (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Positive_Disintegration), enlightenment, accepting chaos/Tao, Becoming masculine in a virtuous manner, health, intelligence, and not pretending things about the opposite sex (blue pill beliefs i mean).

The Truth > Confirmation Bias

I also can't stand the racist shit that sprouts up occasionally.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

I think that's kind of dangerous thinking. It's just like the accusations of 'dogwhistle racism' - where you can basically say someone is being racist for whatever reason.

For example, I think TRP has a lot of really good stuff out there that young men need to read - it's important to understand what actually matters when attracting women rather than wasting your time being some friendzoned chump. Or worse - getting married and being an unsatisfying partner because you've bought into feminazi nonsense that doesn't apply to natural human functions.

But, let's be honest, there are lots of bitter, hostile, and borderline 'woman hating' people here. It doesn't make me a concern troll to say that.

[–]TRP VanguardHumanSockPuppet 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

But, let's be honest, there are lots of bitter, hostile, and borderline 'woman hating' people here. It doesn't make me a concern troll to say that.

If all you do is say it, then yes, it does make you a concern troll. You need to provide the foundation for a discussion of your observations and concerns.

Complaining about something and expecting other people to jump on board is a woman's strategy when among women.

We are not women.

[–]veggie_girl 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

But, let's be honest, there are lots of bitter, hostile, and borderline 'woman hating' people here.

These are people that just got unplugged and had their entire reality swept out form under their feet. I don't blame them for feeling this way. The hate is misdirected, and if they stick around for long enough they'll realize that. I have never seen a long-time redpiller who hates women, it is only the younglings/noobs.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Thats true, I was kind of getting concerned at the amount of just outright venom until it dawned on me that we don't have a place for men to gather and vent IRL

frankly a little circle jerk "oh man thats harsh, let me tell you about MY EX..." isn't really hurting anyone. This is exactly the place for it in fact.

[–]Endorsed ContributorUsherai -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

It's not just saying it that really matters, from my understanding. The issue would be if you said something like "You know there are a lot of really bitter guys here, and it would help spread the TRP message if we tone down the woman bashing."

It's one of those things that seems somewhat reasonable abstractly, but in practice amounts to feminist censorship. It's unproductive and another subtle shaming tactic that has no place here.

[–]soapjackal 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I concur.

However

The hamster is abused. It is true women are more genetically inclined and socially rewarded than men to use the hamster but, as many mods and endorsed have pointed out, men fall prey to the hamster as well.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

we're also not a "new pro men civil rights group" , its all just thery and observation and discussion, attraction rather than promotion, its right here free to read for anyone who wants it.

[–]NakedAndBehindYou 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ah okay. I figured it was something like that.

[–]santaincarnate 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Agreed, thats really the only reason I posted it. If by any other author I wouldn't have linked it.

[–]TRP VanguardHumanSockPuppet 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

thats really the only reason I posted it

Personally, I'm wary about affording anyone special privileges.

The celebrity mindset is how most people end up going off the deep end, and how most communities end up getting spoiled by a small minority of super-powered users who have become high on their own entitlement.

Roosh has written some good stuff, and I appreciate those pieces. This, however, is not one of those good pieces.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Then we should remove the endorsement beside yours and everyone else's names.

[–]TRP VanguardHumanSockPuppet 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That wouldn't do anything.

The purpose of the "endorsed contributor" tag is to assist readers in identifying commenters who have a thorough understanding of Red Pill philosophy. The tag itself infers no privileges or special benefits, and it is given entirely at the discretion of the mods.

If anyone could be said to have special privileges, it's the mods themselves. But we participate in the community in good faith, assuming that they will use those powers judiciously. If they don't, we will simply find another place to talk.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Sounds like a special privilege to me.

[–]Pushnikov 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm new here, but I had similar TRP thoughts and beliefs for the most part before coming here.

There are a few fringe topics which I don't believe represent TRP that are being taken on head strong in a method that threaten the presentation of TRP. In the end, "public relations" doesn't mean you have to compromise on your position, but it does mean you have to make sure that people don't think you're a pro-rape anti-womens rights movement. This has obviously come up enough times that there is a post on the right about this. TRP is something better than any of those things.

Also, as there is a concern about the number of people coming in that are diluting opinions; as you should be concerned, it behooves that some form of leadership or restraint is shown. Don't let TRP spill into topics and material that aren't beneficial to its objective. If you're a social movement, focus on being the best social movement, and don't take on fringe topics that bait and switch your message.

It's more than just about having an opinion, it's about not letting it implode on itself.

Give a man a fish and he eats for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll empty the pond and starve.

This applies to a lot of the greatest goals with the best intentions. Stick to the basics, don't take on too many objectives and don't allow too many topics to be attacked, by the wrong people, or you risk diluting your message.

This is more than just about membership control, it's about prioritizing a message, and keeping it "clean" of influences that can implode it.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You could make the subreddit restricted and then figure out a way to filter people that's not labour intensive

[–]Endorsed ContributorUsherai 48 points49 points50 points 12 years ago (22 children) | Copy Link

His best point, and the most dangerous one I think, is the fact that I see plenty of random blue pill shit get upvoted too frequently to just account for brigading.

Most of SRS and the radfem subscribers reddits are male. Its a mixture of trolls and people who actually believe it. Many of the admins are ex SA forum trolls.

[–]LordDongler 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I had no idea that transvestites and betafags were considered men now.

[–]LucasTrask 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Google analytics data from sites that have received traffic from SRS. Maybe 60:40 but most of the inner circle is male.

[–]Endorsed ContributorUsherai 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

The thing is that it's not like way blue pill stuff. It's just that lingering hint of betatude and white-knightery so I really don't think it's trolling.

[–]Modredpillschool 12 points13 points14 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Just report and we'll check it out.

[–]tenpointfive 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Diligent and comprehensive moderation is import enough that there should be a "reporting policy" link (or list) on the sidebar that informs everyone what they should (and should not) be reporting.

[–]Endorsed ContributorUsherai 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Cool, will do.

[–]goodtide -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Dude that's really cool how you don't have some big faggy flair for your mod status. Just a nice grey 'M.'

I almost didn't notice you were a mod.

[–]Offensive_Brute 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

i agree. some times its not trolling, its just a lapse in effort in the application of TRP philosophy. I think if we pay enough attention, we'll all catch ourselves here and there. but usually some one will step in and set you right.

[–]Endorsed ContributorUsherai 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Yeah I think it's probably inevitable that there will be a decently sized segment of TRP that is more "purple pill" than just red. As long as it doesn't get too much momentum it hopefully won't be a major issue, but we'll see.

[–]Offensive_Brute 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Some people are hurled into TRP by life and circumstance, but some people have to be eased in , and thats where a Purple pill can be a useful impliment. I talk shit about whats happened at /r/mensrights but in the same time that its become PC and feminized, people in the default subs have also begun to acknowledge some mens rights issues as valid and serious. MGM, false rape, paternity, and a few other issues are now met much more frequently with MR colored responses than 2 years ago. So there is something to be said for the technique.

[–]Endorsed ContributorUsherai 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

While true, I also think (going by many comments I've randomly noticed) that a lot of guys subbed here because we speak the uncomfortable truth. Both techniques are probably necessary to some degree. However, too much purple being accepted will start to degrade topics where really red pill shit will get downvoted by nominal TRP members. Ultimately, I think vigilant moderation is about the only thing that will keep that in check, so I'm hopeful.

[–]Offensive_Brute -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I agree. they also do a good job of having different subs. For different subtopics like /r/beaman and /r/askredpill.

[–]TRP VanguardYouDislikeMyOpinion 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I agree here. I originally came here because I was impressed with the quality of responses from people with an above average intellect on relevant topics.

What we have now is not bad, but it's not the way it was before.

[–]Nutz76 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I cannot overstate how useful it is for users to report questionable threads/posts. Speaking for myself, that's the #1 way of bringing things to my attention.

[–]Offensive_Brute 13 points14 points15 points 12 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Happened to /r/mensrights too. When I first discovered that place, it was a mans space, mostly conservative masculine men, and mostly espousing traditionalist values. Now its a PC shitstorm where the MR has become a male, male oriented version of a feminist. That is an annoying whiney little bitch always on about bullshit gender equality, and buying into gender and sexual identity ambiguity nonsense.

[–]Pushnikov 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

I think TRP is far beyond traditionalist values. TRP is progressive.

It's progressive in that it subverts the status quo and moves through to another position, rather than asking to go backwards because of fear that the past was the better way.

TRP is completely a forward moving vision for how men can get things under control for men. It should not be viewed as traditionalist, because there's plenty of traditionalist view points that have failed. It's better to go forward than go backwards.

[–]Offensive_Brute 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I agree, but there are many areas where the two are closely related.

[–]Pushnikov 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

My concern is that the more that TRP gets labeled traditionalist, the more it can get mixed with anti-women's rights; the more friction it's going to gain, even amongst other men. In order to be successful you need to show a message that people can relate to and support you on, even if they don't become 'hardcore' TRP-ers, at least they're not shit talking you.

When someone asks, "What's a TRP-er?" it shouldn't be, "A pro-rape anti-women's rights group." Which has been attempted to slander this group before. It should be, "A pro-mens advocacy group."

I know it's semantics, but playing hardball is why "feminism" got to where it is, playing the field from both the Traditionalist view and getting their thing. That's the issue with Feminism, is they subverted the former culture to get what they want. They didn't replace it; they're getting the best of both worlds. TRP needs to subvert that back into some kind of balance.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

If they reject their entire history, culture, and tradition, nay their humanity, because it's not feminist enough, all the worse for them. We are red pill because an embrace of the truth is the only sound basis for a lasting and prosperous civilization. I am not here to make feminists feel good about themselves.

[–]Pushnikov 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I didn't say that we should make anyone feel "good" about it. But encouraging statements which are (a) patently false and (b) send the wrong message does three things.

1) Attract people that you don't WANT to have around. Dilution of viewpoint through membership noise and static

2) You scare off potentially positive members who would be good and productive, but they are offended/don't want to be associated with a mis-represented group.

3) Scare off potential supporters that may not be directly interested in being TRP but can be converted to appreciate their viewpoints.

[–]Nutz76 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

IMO things have gone around so far to the left they're combing back around from the right. In other words, progressives used to mean far left leaning liberals. Today being progressive, at least as far as TRP is concerned, is that it's swinging around to the right with more traditional and conservative ideals. This has led to some interesting quandaries in regards to hookup culture, game, and the natural value men tend to have for non-slutty women. It's a catch-22 to partake in hookup culture and develop the best game possible when you really don't want the hottie who's cock hopping her way through her 20s. This is where Men's Rights, PUA, TRP, and all of the other manosphere philosophies meet in the middle.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

True. A lot of men will become like women when you bring this stuff up and it's best to not forget the 11th commandment - "Thou shalt not speak about divisive things that stir up negative emotions in people."

God forbid you say anything that sounds critical about women. It's gonna be purgatory for you talking to these basement dwelling pieces of garbage - and then having to deal with them mouthing off about you to other people smh.

Roosh writing an article about perceived issues in the 'manosphere' without presenting any actual solutions? The hell you say!

While Roosh does make a great point I argue /r/TheRedPill will still serve a purpose even if we are diluted. Much how many of us came from /r/seduction, /r/TheRedPill serves the same purpose. A gateway to the truth on one of the largest social websites.

[–]TRP VanguardYouDislikeMyOpinion 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I completely agree, it will actually serve a very critical purpose for some betas breaking free from their self-made shackles.

A gateway to the truth on one of the largest social websites.

Perfect wording.

[–]TRP VanguardYouDislikeMyOpinion 10 points11 points12 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

There are fundamental reasons as to why the TRP subreddit will never be what it was before.

  • There is an almost useless barrier for all of the non-trp users to enter this subreddit, vote, and post

  • The signal to noise ratio will only increase in the future. Just look at the quality of the content we had last April: http://wayback.archive.org/web/20130418092333/http://www.reddit.com/r/TheRedPill/

  • The way reddit functions is not beneficial to TRP. Reddit functions well for quick thoughtless content discussion. Something you can discuss, forget, and never want to discuss again. Oh, an AMA by a crackwhore, cool, I'll stick around for 10 minutes and read about it, but I sure as hell don't want to read about more crackwhore stories. Whereas an intelligent person will post something on trp, and it will be off the front page never to be found again after 2 days. Good quality posters have very little incentive to post thoughtful responses on reddit.

What will happen is this place will become like seddit, with a different mindset.

This in no way is trying to say that what the mod team does for us is anything below amazing. It's just the reality of what will happen.

[–]Modredpillschool 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I disagree, and think it can be subverted.

[–]TRP VanguardYouDislikeMyOpinion 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I certainly hope so.

[–]veggie_girl -3 points-2 points-1 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's going to be a shitload more work than it be would offsite though.

On reddit you're swimming against the current. Even Roosh doesn't believe in us as a community.

But I'll be damned if it doesn't make you stronger. If theredpill can survive reddit it can survive anything.

[–]Hormander 23 points24 points25 points 12 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

I can't agree more. This subreddit used to be very different from what it is today. Shitty links are posted more often. Blue pills idea are upvoted ridiculously high sometomes. Less scientific studies, more beta bullshit.

Remember when we could discuss if women should be able to vote ? I'm afraid this subreddit is going more politically correct. But the red pill has nothing to do with what we or society want to hear. We should talk harsh because this is how men talk. We're not here to respect feelings we're here to tell the truth.

We should allow only a limited number of people to submit content here or to comment.

People should be able to post only after a month of subscription.

I'll edit with more ideas if I find other.

[–]Modredpillschool 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

That content wasn't banned.

[–]Hormander 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I know, What I mean is this is the kind of things we don't discuss anymore. My point is this subreddit is getting more politically correct because of the users

[–]Max___Power 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The problem is the TRP is founded on a core set of laws, which do not change with time. There's only so much time you can spend harping on the basics before the content becomes a broken record. It gets to a point where linking to real time red/blue pill examples is the only thing you can do without repeating/reposting the same information.

[–]TRP VanguardYouDislikeMyOpinion 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

In case anyone's wondering. Here's where you can see how the subreddit looked back then:

The science is our most powerful weapon. Too bad it can only be truly debated on other forums. Confirmation bias is a bitch.

[–]TheDon835 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

We discussed that? AND I MISSED IT!? Damn.

[–][deleted] -3 points-2 points-1 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Remember when we could discuss if women should be able to vote ?

You really wasted time on that?

What's the point, the vote is a farce anyway.

[–]Senior Contributor: "The Court Jester"GayLubeOil 9 points10 points11 points 12 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

I know this is linguistic masturbation but: posing the question Can Red Pill survive portrays us as on the losing side of the battle. A big part of winning the debate is framing the debate in favorable terms. Our numbers are growing everyday, bitches be so mad that they dedicate their lives to Blue pill. Better Title: Red Pill subredit explodes in popularity despite Hillary Clinton

[–]TRP VanguardYouDislikeMyOpinion 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't see why you got downvoted. Good point.

I'm more of a pessimist than an optometrist, so I am satisfied when there's nothing bad to say about something.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If you take a look at Seddit, a forum for the worst game advice on the internet, you’ll quickly come to the realization that men simply want the magic piece of advice to get their dream girl instead of making structural changes to their beliefs or game.

This is why we love roosh ~

[–]TRP Vanguard: "Dark Triad Expert"IllimitableMan 7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

TRP needs a forum on puerarchy, separate from this. Don't take the risk of having shit shut down. It's like having your civilization built on sand, we need stable foundations.

Yes, but if this started in a website and not as a subreddit, it wouldn't even have 500 subscribers.

[–]TRP VanguardHumanSockPuppet 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Hey Roosh, why not sign on as a moderator and help keep the place free of blue pill influence?

[–]Lok_Die 15 points16 points17 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

It takes a silly amount of time for a mod to go through all the shit on here.

It's like sieving shit for enough corn to make a decent side dish.

It's like sieving shit for enough corn to make a decent side dish.

I am stealing that analogy.

All the more reason to add more mods as this subreddit gets more traffic. There's a reason /r/askscience is the best sub on this website.

[–]TRP VanguardHumanSockPuppet -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

Then there's no point in his complaining about it.

Edit: That is to say, why complain if you're not going to either propose solutions or actively fight the trend by lending a hand? Complaining until the problem gets fixed, though - we've seen that before.

[–]Lok_Die 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

We need solid mods who are endorsed contributors.

The big movers and shakers of our thought project are too busy to do what middle level guys need to be doing.

More mods for the mods god.

[–]t21spectre 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He has his own site to moderate, and he get ad revenue there, not here.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Roosh would ruin TRP with his over-moderating. There's a reason the Roosh V Forum has become a circle-jerk and so has ROK to a certain extent. The guy doesn't tolerate any dissenting opinions.

And yadda yadda yadda it's his site. If he wants to ruin it, GOOD! Amen!

[–]shute 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

he has three sites to mod [fourth if nexxtlevelup counts], no time

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

An upvote and linksharing system isn't rocket science to script, a substitute could be rolled easily enough if reddit banned this place. The tricky part would be bringing the users into it. But you know, a post ban alternative might be better, free of the reddit hivemind, things could get a lot more real. And because we are playing in a zero sum game, the truth is that things would be better for us if fewer people knew about all this stuff.

[–]TRP VanguardWhisper 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Now this is weird. A few days ago he was characterizing /r/Mensrights as a bunch of worthless cowardly whiners. Now he's talking like they've been adulterated, a tacit admission there was something to adulterate.

The basic point is sound, however. The fact that reddit's administration seems to have certain cultural Marxist leanings, coupled with the fact that our ideas are sociopolitical dynamite, does raise some concern. The threat of simple removal is real.

But I disagree about trolls and blue pill talking points. I think we need opposition, because opposition builds strength. I think we need tourists, because tourists become students. I am not made uncomfortable by blue pill talking points. They are a chance to teach and correct, and if that teaching and correction is rejected with invective, they are a chance to defeat and humiliate, to insert the righteous blade of shame to the hilt in another defective aberration of cultural Marxism.

Yes, there are threats to our survival, but the proper response to a threat is oppose it and grow strong, not lock one's self away in a walled garden.

The Commando's Prayer
Give me, my God, what you still have;
give me what no one asks for.
I do not ask for wealth, nor success,
nor even health.

People ask you so often, God, for all that,
that you cannot have any left.
Give me, my God, what you still have. Give me what people refuse to accept from you.
I want insecurity and disquietude;
I want turmoil and brawl.

And if you should give them to me,
my God, once and for all,
let me be sure to have them always,
for I will not always
have the courage to ask for them.

Roosh needs to hit the gym 5 years ago.

There's some true red pill knowledge for his ass.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Damn can't believe I got down voted for this. You fags need to wake up and know that more gym= more women. Those in denial are just angry and probably out of shape.

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points10 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

You're being downvoted because Roosh openly addresses this in various blog posts and many people here are readers of his.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Roosh wouldn't be solidly getting rejected by hotties Globally, if he wasn't in such laughable shape. Peak physical health as TokyoPickUp endorses is 100% key to getting the sexiest of the sexy.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Roosh has said he wished he started working out much sooner. Has poked fun at old photos of himself & in a recent blog post he mentions how he works out just enough to maintain an attractive frame for women. If you view recent photos of him he has put on muscle.

[–]RedSunBlue 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]rugbytitsandmedicine 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Why doesn't he go to the gym? Is it some health reason?

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He does go to the gym you are viewing old photos of him.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

In Bang, he talks about how he started going to the gym and got a nice haircut and nice clothes and still didn't get laid until he started learning game.

He had an image of a bearded traveler and you can't do the whole angsty backpacker thing with muscles. It just doesn't fit in that culture unless its skinny muscles with good definition.

Plus he was younger then. It was easier for him to get younger trim because its easier in Western culture for young guys to hook up with young girls.

I thought puerarchy was the backup. What I like about this being on Reddit though, is the ability to link to other subreddits so we can see things in real time, I wouldn't have believed a lot of the claims TRP makes if it wasn't for this.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I've been saying points one and two for months on this sub. There are too many people asking dumb ass questions that would have easy and basic answers if they only took the time to read the foundation material. Also, there are WAY too many pretend alphas that are either blue pillers giving terrible advice or dudes with a lot of women hate insecurity mucking the place up.

I can't tell you how many times I'd see shit like, "Hey, can I get an example of how you responded to those shit tests?" How about no mother fucker, go to /r/seduction if you still haven't figured out shit tests.

Or another example is I've seen people argue that women shouldn't be allowed to have the right to vote? WTF? Are you fucking kidding me? Do you think women are second class people? Get the fuck out of here chode.

[–]cozycoffeecake 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I just went to TBP /r/. Wow, as someone who has been an innate red pill for the entirety of my life, I have never seen so many scorned women and cuckolds in my life. LOL

[–]ugdr6424 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

  • Make this sub private. Invitation only.

  • Create another public facing redpill sub. (Mods: I have /r/TheRedPillReboot for this.)

[–]CUNTBERT_RAPINGTON 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I would create a new private sub instead of making this one private, and continue trolling this one for new members worthy of admission.

[–]daykid 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I like this thought, make a second sub and only invite people who have both been subscribed for a sufficient amount of time and have posted solid RP content. As members here become unplugged and start to have a better grasp on the Red Pill, they could receive their own invitations as well.

It would keep any trolls already subscribed here out, and give a good filter system to keep the new, main sub purely Red Pill.

[–]Nutz76 -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'll bring this up. Maybe use some sort of qualification for access, such as 1000 or more karma from TRP related posts.

[–]fuk_offe 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I agree with this, but how would people get promoted? Mods are already busy as is.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

That's the big question. The point is to disperse red pills to people, but also not let in blue pill dispensers.

So how about: have TheRedPillPrivate which is hidden and invite only and then TheRedPillPublic which is public but no one can post there, besides a bot that mirrors TheRedPillPrivate?

[–]soapjackal 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I feel a puearchy forum is much more useful for 'private' forums. Have users message a specific mod for email invites if they have proven themselves on TRP

[–]veggie_girl -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There is just one problem with having it offsite. Whoever has access to the admin panel of whatever software is used (or the logs if the server is running apache) has access to your IP and you lose some of your anonymity. On reddit that's not so much an issue due to the massive size and diversity, also the fact that reddit would shutdown overnight due to he media backlash if the Admins ever doxxed someone.

It's about being a man, the things a father should have taught you. It's about understanding what men and women are attracted to beneath their bullshit idealistic exteriors.

The only way to maintain high community standards is to splinter from reddit, like lesswrong and hackernews. There are a million reddit liberals who do not tolerate dissent from their suicide pact.

Also, it's the only way to survive a future reddit banning. The reddit office is based in San Francisco. Don't count on their benevolence. An anti-feminist is just like a nazi to them.

[–]watersign -2 points-1 points0 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

comments are classic and true.

"

The reddit hivemind has no place for people who are in tune with their testicles. Why I never go there. If you are not manbooby himself, or a transgender having already performed the surgery, then you are a regular old blue pill asshole.

The Red Pill forum was doomed before it began. I hope I am wrong, but I hate the hive mind. If it is not a video of a cat playing the fucking keyboard, or some other useless piece of shit comment, you get the down vote brigade. Reddit is useless to me because of this. Anyone wanting to inject real discourse about valuable issues that don't revolve around a vagina like a beta orbiter would are held suspect.

I wish them luck, but I have better things to do than hang out on reddit." -Jesse James
