We're eloping for practical reasons, not impulsive ones. We've been together nearly three years, I know all his family and friends, and vice versa. My family lives in another country, and neither of us are interested in the pageantry of a wedding. We will eventually have a small party for family and friends, but our goal right now is to make our relationship "official", for a multitude of reasons.

I strongly approve of your rebellious mushrooming. :D I may try chestnuts in stuffing someday. If they're small enough and mixed with a bunch of other things, that would probably mitigate the textural issue... I'm planning on making acorn flour this year. ;) Just waiting for them to be ripe! What do you do with them?
/r/RedPillWomen01/09/19 04:25 PM

I think it's more of a texture thing. The flavour is "meh" to me -- not bad, but not good enough to make me want to keep eating them -- and the sort of mealy texture puts me off entirely. The only thing I don't mind is making chestnut paste -- because that way the texture isn't noticable and I add lots of vanilla, so it's more of a "vanilla paste with some chestnut flavour" lol. But maybe you have a good recipe to make me love them ;) You're not allowed to pick mushrooms where you are? :O What n…

I think my boyfriend and I must be the only two people on earth who don't like chestnuts. And yet here we are, completely surrounded by chestnut trees. :P I'm waiting for the ceps!

This is like asking if it's possible for a straight woman to be in a RP relationship with a manly man if he also simultaneously takes care of his looks. Which is to say, your question is silly. ;) Of course you can! What matters in a RP relationship isn't the so much the extraneous stuff, it's the way you act. Looking girly or masculine doesn't necessarily have any bearing on a person's personality and behaviour, which are the two things that really need to be kept in mind when looking for a par…

To be honest this seems more like a publicity stunt than anything else. If she's selling her nudes and self-professedly isn't making enough money through it, doing something like this would give her more popularity and, thus, more money.

In my experience (and I think this is particularly relevant to you, lol), pro-LTR/anti-marriage sentiment isn't very common in North America, outside a select number of men who have had bad experiences or are fearful of them. However, in France, my experience is that the majority of men are anti-marriage, pro-LTR (basically, unless they're very religious or traditional, they'll be okay with a PACS but that's about it). I think if a woman really does want to get married, she needs to bring it up.…

I would imagine as a liberal that submitting to your man is probably not something you’re into either. I'm not the one you're replying to, but political beliefs are not inherently tied to romantic relationship ideals.

It's worth noting that masturbation and sex don't (always) scratch the same itch. There are some people (mostly men, but probably some women as well) who masturbate to relieve tension, to kill boredom, etc. There are a lot of people (again, mostly men) for whom masturbation can be something that just "needs to be done" before moving onto doing something else. This isn't to discredit your interpretation of your husband's sex drive, but I do want to point out that for many low/mid-libido people, m…

Not ever instance of someone approaching you in the middle of the day is RP-style "day game" (where the intent is sexual and nothing more). If you like him, go out with him. But if you're not interested in sleeping with him, be wary of anything that may lead to such a thing (him inviting you to his place for lunch, for example).

Is this a joke? Your boyfriend literally said he feels like your relationship is nearing its end. Whether or not he's emotionally invested in her or not (and frankly it seems like he is) is irrelevant at this point.

I saw an comment of yours mentioning you've begun this farm life and have some livestock. I am in a somewhat similar position, actually. What animals do you have? Are you working towards autonomy (full or partial)? In any case this is well written and I agree wholeheartedly with all of it.

I've never heard anyone actually use the term "en concubinage" or referring to their partner as such, though I have seen it occasionally on documents and I guess it must be my English influence but I find the term pretty funny. :P I just use conjoint.

People can decide for themselves if they want to date outside their race or not. Imposing a set of rules on other people because they don't like race-mixing is far more "control freak" than me saying racism is bad.
/r/RedPillWomen21/03/19 02:34 PM
21

Just because people have always been racist doesn't make it right ... and your DNA isn't lost from having children with someone from another race, because the same amount of your DNA goes into that child no matter what race your partner is. If you really don't want to lose the DNA, you could try inbreeding. But I've heard that doesn't tend to give the best results.

That's not too surprising, to be honest. It's easy to feel good about helping "the poor kids in Africa", because they're far from home and don't pose any "threat" to the family. It's basic NIMBYism, really. You see it often with parents who seem accepting of gay people in society but have meltdowns if their own children come out as gay, for example. It's unfortunate and probably more common than you'd think, especially because optically it looks good to not appear to be racist (so, helping child…

Your family sounds racist. You are free to date or marry whoever you like. The issue I see is more that your family may not be accepting of someone outside your race, and may end up treating them poorly (and if you eventually have children with this person, how would your family treat a mixed-race child?). Do you think you're capable of standing up to your family in support of your partner?

low n-count means he WILL put it on a pedestal. This is what you said earlier in the thread, which is what prompted my reply.

2

I think it's perfectly possible for a guy to have a low n-count (like, under 5) and not be a thirsty pedestlizer, if he's got a lot n-count by choice. For example, someone who's very relationship-minded or who holds sex in somewhat more "high esteem" isn't likely to have a very high n-count, but if they can get laid and are just selective or prefer to be in relationships, it's possible to get low n-count non-thirsty guys. Yes, it is probably more likely that the low n-count guys are mostly the o…

Does me being black effect my SMV and if so, how can I get past this? Your race should never be something that you think of in a negative light with respect to dating, because anyone who would refuse to date you because of your skin colour isn't someone you would want to be in a relationship with anyway.

I love vegetable steaks! I've done that a few times with eggplant in a miso glaze, it's really fantastic. I'll definitely give it a try with some other vegetables as well. I love pulses and don't mind beans (sometimes I find the texture a little offputting...), but my boyfriend's digestive system does not agree with them, lol! Unpopular opinion ahead: Aside from men who are either very staunch in their values (religious, traditional, etc) or insecure, wanting a virgin (or very low n-count) partner isn't common. Why do I list "insecure"? Great question! ;) This type of insecurity isn't necessarily a bad thing, nor is it a criticism. But a man who has had relatively few partners is more likely to feel overwhelmed, uncomfortable, insecure, or just generally worried when a woman has had significantly more partners than hi…

What sorts of things do you do with rice? I usually just serve it either as a side dish or as risotto, like I mentioned. But my boyfriend loves rice, so I'd be happy to take any recipes! French recipes are fine with me! I looked that one over and I admit I'm a little put off by the idea of apricots. :P Was the dish quite sweet? Do you have any favourite quiche recipes?
/r/RedPillWomen26/02/19 01:28 PM

This week I'm very excited to make seafood risotto! I recently made shrimp stock, which I'll use for cooking the risotto, and I plan on topping it with browned butter scallops and fresh herbs. My boyfriend and I have significantly cut down on the amount of meat we eat (we'll buy one or two meat products per week), so I'm always on the lookout for good new vegetarian recipes to try out. I'm not the person you're replying to, but my boyfriend and I both point out people we find attractive. He doesn't point out other men, but occasionally I will, and he'll either agree ("yeah, he has a nice (whatever thing)") or disagree ("seriously?!"). We have very different tastes in attractiveness. Sometimes I'll point out a woman I think is beautiful and he'll be surprised, and vice-versa. Neither of us are pointing out these people in an overtly sexual or impolite way, so neither of us has …

There is no "should" or "shouldn't". It depends entirely on the woman in question and the kind of man she is interested in being with. If being a virgin until marriage is only something you do because you think it will make more men like you, you are sadly mistaken. There will be some men who find that a virtue, but outside the very religious, most men don't want to wait until marriage to have sex. Should you have a low partner count and stick to sleeping with people if you're in commited relati…

I'm about the farthest thing from being blonde. I just don't think people should be changing their hair colour simply because it may make them more likely to find a partner. If someone has a rainbow mohawk, that's one thing, but blonde is still a natural colour, and if someone thinks they look better as a blonde, I don't think they should feel the need to change it just because some study said men think brunettes are better to marry. Trying to cast a wide net is all well and good, but playing dress-up for a date because you want to look more innocent than you actually are, and dressing in a way you never normally do (and dying your hair, apparently...) are superficial and not only fairly irrelevant (men have different tastes), but also not a long-term plan. So you dress in a particular way for the first date, he loves it, but you don't. Do you keep up this charade because some guy thinks you look more innocent (regardless of…

I think you might be misunderstanding gifts as being necessarily expensive or commercial. Bear in mind, gifts are not at all my love language. If you bring a friend the freshly-baked cookies you know she loves, that's a gift that very effectively displays you pay attention to what she likes, and that you care enough to give it to her. Or if you want a real-life example, I have a friend coming over tomorrow who mentioned she wanted to grow a bay laurel. I have plenty, so I repotted one for her. G…

This resonates with me a lot. I feel like oftentimes many people try to use gift-giving as a means of apologising or making up for bad behaviour.

My love language is overwhelmingly touch. I'm a fairly touchy person in general with people I like (platonically), but in a relationship I absolutely thrive on it. My boyfriend's love language is definitely quality time, thrown in with some acts of service, which makes it pretty easy to make him happy, because of course I enjoy spending time with him, and love making myself useful. I don't think it's really necessary to take the test in order to figure out "what you are", just think about the things you appreciate the most, and the things that you don't think you could go without in a relationship. That's much more telling than any test could be!

So you've been exclusive for two years (I'm assuming he has also been exclusive with you?) But he refuses to call you his girlfriend... this is very strange to me. How does he introduce you to people he knows? To his family? Does he consider himself in a relationship?

He really likes the fact that I care about nature and gardening and general "farm" stuff. He likes to say how glad he is that I'm not a "bourgeois city girl", and that I'm happy to talk to him about nature and that I care enough to make a lot of effort in growing our own produce and raising a few animals. I used to work at an agricultural farm and garden centre, so I know know a fair bit about plants. Whenever we're out planting things and I tell him some tidbits of information or explain where/…

I mean honestly any women who gets disgusted at another person for having bodily functions just needs to take a look in the mirror. :P Being sexy isn't "never having messy hair and holding in farts until you explode", it's accepting that people don't always look their best, but that the low moments are just there to make the highs even better.

I like this post because it serves as a good reminder of things people in relationships should know already -- when you live with someone, you see them at their best and at their worst, and sometimes when someone is slipping into complacency, there are things you can do to combat this.

I completely agree with this. I thank my boyfriend whenever he does something that would have otherwise fallen to me -- even if it's something as simple and banal as washing the dishes. I'd much rather cultivate an environment of mutual gratitude than one where everything is taken for granted. And yes -- he does the same in return.
/r/RedPillWomen29/01/19 05:07 PM

That is awesome! I've been looking very seriously into getting rabbits, but I have absolutely no experience about raising meat animals, let alone butchering them. Are rabbits particularly difficult to handle? I have ducks and chickens at the moment (just for eggs, though I would eventually like to raise the ducks for meat as well). It seems like you live in a very warm climate. I can only imagine how amazing your mangoes must taste...

/r/RedPillWomen27/01/19 09:42 AM

Neither myself nor my partner are vegan, but I recently discovered lentil tacos and I have to say they're fantastic. I don't even bother making "regular" tacos anymore, because the lentils are just so good. I gave the recipe to my parents (who tend to be more uncertain about trying new foods), and they told me they've started making it regularly as well. I haven't tried them with walnuts, but I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

If you're reading this and are considering sending nudes, here are some things to keep in mind: There is always the possibility that they will get out some day, somehow. He could show them to other people, someone looking at his phone may see, etc. Never include your face or any identifying features. Whether or not sharing nudes is right for you depends a lot of your personality, his personality, and the status of the relationship. And I would strongly advise against sending nudes to someone you…

Sexual compatibility is an important part of any relationship (as important as compatibility in other areas). This is why so many men are frustrated when they end up in sexually unsatisfying relationships. Divorce is an extreme option that I wouldn't jump to at this point (if at all). But it's clear that changes need to be made, because this situation is one-sided and unhealthy for you. It will only build further resentment as time goes on. Overly long relationships without engagement/marriage (if that is what both parties are ultimately looking for) are a bad idea, imo. (Almost) everything that you could need to learn about someone to know if you want to marry them, barring only things that may come up later in life or very well-kept secrets, is likely to be learned within the first 3 years of dating. If after that time a couple continues without getting married, and marriage is something they both want, then barring any extenuati…

I am generally not great with my hair, and have very little talent with braids (can't do fishtail, Dutch, or French), but I can do regular braids and so they make frequent appearances in my hairstyles. As another commenter said, side braids are great. Depending on the shape of your head, you might also want to look into milkmaid braids, which is something I do often. I have a bit more of an odd one, but I make my own laundry detergent using 100% natural ingredients -- water, and horse chestnuts! Actually, horse chestnuts contain something called saponins, a chemical compound that causes foam, like soap. It works as well as normal laundry detergent on any items that aren't extremely dirty (I haven't tried it with anything that is very dirty so I can't say if it would work well or not), and has the benefit of being both free and sustainable. I just want to reiterate the fact that you should not jump into this. Even if you are more okay with a threesome/going to a professional, there are still a lot of things you need to work through. And as I said before, if you have no attraction to women, this is even less likely to be a good idea, because you're getting less out of it with the same amount of risk. But OP isn't in a situation where she's saying "oh god I am horrified and disgusted that my partner is interested in an open relationship!" That being said, if you're not interested in women, it may also still be a difficult or uncomfortable situation for you. You need to discuss this with him. A lot. This is actually quite hard for me, because I feel like I'm being rude, but it's what makes him more comfortable so I do my best. I fall into the camp of "no sweet tooth", but sweet snacks that have been hits for others are always cakes! Can't go wrong with a nice slice of cake to nibble on. Piggybacking off this to mention that if you can make your own hummus, you definitely should. It's incredibly easy and very delicious -- and everyone will be impressed! I generally make 3 different kinds of hummus: regular chickpea hummus (aka plain), red lentil and roasted red pepper hummus, and spicy green split pea hummus. This way you have some variety and different colours, too. The different legumes add slightly different flavours, and they're all really good. The basic recipe is always th…

Some people (this isn't just a male or female thing) are more reticent to say "I love you" than others are. It doesn't necessarily mean he doesn't love you, but it is still a Big Thing, and not everyone is comfortable expressing such a thing easily. From what you say, it sounds like he does care for you a lot and his comments seem like his way of saying that he loves you (I would say similar things at the start of my own relationship). I'm not the kind of person who believes the man should alway…

While I feel bad using the word "luckily" for their situation, because it is really sad, especially since they both recognized that they still loved each other but their life goals were now incompatible, it is lucky that his ex realized when she did (late 20s) instead of trying to stick it out and make things work, only to realize years later that it was the wrong decision.

Sometimes a person's longterm goals may have lined up with their partner's during the vetting stages and throughout a few years of marriage, but eventually one person may decide that something has changed in their overall desires. A friend of mine recently split from his ex-wife of five years because when they first got together and throughout the majority of their marriage, both had the same longterm goals (basically "lots of cats, no kids"). However, his ex wife later realized she actually did…

My boyfriend and I have been trying to cut down our meat consumption for ecological reasons, so we've been having a lot of vegetarian meals lately. With the weather getting cooler, soups are becoming the norm! A few days ago I made a huge batch of Chinese dumplings that are now sitting in the freezer. We're going to be steaming them for when his family comes to visit this weekend -- it will be their first time eating my dumplings and I'm excited to impress them. ;) I also made quite the batch of…

I have had girls ask me to give them more phone time, more of my evenings, etc. I dumped them all. You want a man that is important and busy, but then seek to monopolize his time. You're not her boyfriend, so I don't think your particular experiences are relevant. Most people in a longterm, serious relationship seek to see their partner more than twice a week and prefer to speak to them regularly. Not everyone has the same level of desire for time spent together, obviously, but if her needs are …

Open relationships will work if both parties are 100% on board and have agreed to terms that work well for both of them. If you're not 100% on board with the idea, it isn't going to work for you. There will always be resentment, mistrust, and a feeling that he lacks respect for you and your relationship. Do with this information what you will.

It seems more like the fact that he's busy isn't the problem, but the fact that he cancels things at the last minute. You can be a busy person who still sticks to plans, or a busy person who gives advanced notice when plans will fall through. Occasional last-minute changes are understandable -- life happens to everyone. Frequent or even constant last-minute changes can come off as aggravating at first and disrespectful if they continue. From your own post: In practice, self-esteem is not like wealth (more is better), but like insulin: Too little will hurt you, but so will too much. In this case, she clearly has too little. Furthermore, while I do agree that society denigrates female virtues, and she likely is feeling insecure because she doesn't realize the value she already brings, there is no harm in a woman improving herself to be more intelligent or charismatic if she feels she's significantly lacking in those departments.

Okay, so I was reading the first bit of this and starting to think up a response that gave an apt comparison of my boyfriend vs me. But then I got to the end of and realized this isn't really what you need to be hearing. What you need is to work on your self esteem, because feeling disappointed in yourself and insecure next to your boyfriend isn't good in the slightest. At least in the context of my own relationship, I trust my boyfriend to make smart decisions. We have similar values, interests, and goals, and I know that he has a history of making smart decisions. So, I'm someone who made one of the top posts on RPW about calling my boyfriend "the captain", and I put that term in quotes because even I find the terminology a bit strange. Oh definitely, I'm not going to say that all the self improvement advice on TRP is 100% without the intent of getting female interest. But at the same time, I think it's rare that self improvement is done entirely for oneself and not at least slightly inspired by wanting to be a better person for others -- this isn't just for people you want to attract, but also in how you appear to your peers etc. That being said, I think the proportion of self improvement advice on TRP vs here is skewed much m…

Yes! This is a great comment. It's also part of the reason why I, for a long time, found TRP more useful to me than RPW -- because the focus there is strongly rooted in self-improvement for its own benefit (not to become better for your partner, but to become better for yourself).

Hey there, how you doin'? ;) Kidding. :D Can you give us some more info about your behaviour? For example, do you make a lot of eye contact with and smile at other women? This isn't a bad thing, but it can be mistaken for "openness" to other bi or lesbian girls. Likewise, if you only smile at or make eye contact with women, try doing the same with some men as well. This poses little issue for either of us because we are open about who we talk to, our friends are aware that we're in a relationship, and in many cases we have both met the others' friends. I don't think there's anything wrong with men using sex toys. Fleshlights and other things meant to simulate vaginas (or butts? I'm sure that must exist too...) have their use, just like dildos do. Yes, people can fix their mistakes. But a mistake cannot be fixed by jumping from one bad relationship to another. Drinking alcohol fairly regularly isn't the same thing as getting drunk fairly regularly. If a man is repulsed by the idea of a woman having a glass of wine with a meal (for example), that is a very weak and ridiculous man.

I'm drinking a lovely anis liqueur as I type this, so I think that should answer the main question... ;) Here's the thing - a lot of people tent to think that "drinking" = "getting drunk", but this is often not the case. When I finish my drink, for example, I won't even feel a buzz, because that's not the point of why I'm drinking! (I'm drinking it because it's refreshing and tastes good.) There is no objectively right or wrong way to go about sex. People need to do what feels right for them, but they also need to be aware that any decision they make has potential risks and repurcussions. Want to have sex on the first date? Go ahead. Far more important than constantly doing new and exciting things are having a set of hobbies that you tend to regularly (if you don't have anything other than reading, cooking, and the gym, I'd suggest you look into something else as well to make you a bit more well-rounded; add something creative to the list, eg. music/dance/art/writing, and you're good to go), and being able to maintain an interesting conversation with people. If you don't have things to say, people will consider you boring! T…

Firstly, congratulations, I'm very happy for you! :) This was so sweet to read. Secondly, let's get down to business with your question. So, while I don't personally have a lot of experience with long distance, my best friend is in a long distance relationship at the moment, and so I'm going to give you some tips based on what I've seen work for them. I once was out at a bar with a (male) friend of mine. He knew I was in a relationship and I had told him before going out that he couldn't stay over at my place because 1. I didn't have an extra bed or couch and 2. my boyfriend wasn't okay with it. (And even if he had been okay with it, I didn't particularly want him over anyway.) He agreed to this, said he'd stay elsewhere, and all was well. Until it started getting late in the night, the drinks were flowing, and he asked if we could go back to…

Be upfront about the fact that you don't feel comfortable staying the night at his place/having him stay the night at yours. However, if you particularly want him to come over in order to do a particular activity that cannot be done elsewhere, then invite him over during the day. Don't just invite him over or accept to go over if the only "plan" is to "hang out". That's not a plan. If you want to invite him over for dinner, and not during the day, plan to do something afterwards that will take y…

I just want to add a few things, because my boyfriend and I host a lot of grill parties in spring and summer: If you want a sit-down meal indoors, one of the easiest things to do if you have only a handful of people attending (as is your case), is to make steaks and/or sausages -- this way there's not a lot of fuss about hamburger toppings, and the meal seems a bit fancier if you're having steaks. ;) You'll obviously need some vegetables, and I find it's easy to pick a handful of good-on-the-gri…

This is a very good point. OP should also be looking at whether she wants this to be more informal, backyard barbecue type thing, where people will be eating outside, drinking beers, etc; or slightly more formal, where the food will be cooked outside (maybe with some snacks and beers outdoors as this is happening), but the actual dinner will take place inside. An outdoor meal can involve standing around and eating, for example. An indoor meal may need, as other people said, specific place settin…

Just a tip -- if you're peeling and coring apples, save the remnants, boil them in a big pot of water with cinnamon, honey, and maybe some cloves, and it makes a really wonderful drink. You can do it ahead of time (while the cake is baking), then strain everything out and reheat it later. I do this every time I need to peel and core apples and/or pears, and it's just heavenly. Plus ... the smell!

If you like cookies, I'd be happy to give you my grandmother's recipe for susamelle. They're a traditional Italian Christmas cookie, but she makes them differently than most people (they're TRIPLE CHOCOLATE) and spiced. I tend to make more pies than cakes in fall/winter to use up all the apples, but I would also very heartily recommend this recipe, as I've made it many times and it is delicious.

Is he currently working? No matter what the situation is, I don't believe anyone should be relying 100% on their partner at the time of marriage unless both parties are fully on board with this (eg. having a stay-at-home partner). Getting a degree in physics may be enjoyable for him, but in terms of job prospects, it isn't the greatest. If physics is his passion, there are many ways he can go about getting a degree while still working (part-time study, for example). If he needs a degree to get a…

I don't read this as him wanting an open relationship so much as him just wanting to be able to flirt without consequences. If they haven't discussed an open relationship, there is no open relationship (and if that is what he wants and he hasn't discussed it with her, he's going about it in the wrong way). Not to mention the fact that she isn't necessarily going to be interested in one in the first place.

If it's growing out of water, then we have 3 main options: either there's been a significant change in temperature, it's not getting enough light, or (probably the most likely if the plant is indoors) it's lacking nutrients. But now that they're as high as 60-70% of degree seekers in colleges, where's the concern about men? About equality? I find it interesting that you bring this up, because it actually is a concern within feminist circles in academia. As a general rule, aromatics are the things that add the most (pleasant) aromas when cooking -- things like herbs, spices, anything in the alium family (onion, garlic, leek, etc) are going to make whatever you're cooking or baking smell (and taste) great. This may be helpful for you. Baking with things like cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and allspice will add wonderful aromas, and these all go well with apples, pears, quince, pumpkin, carrots (so try making apple/pear/quince pie, pumpkin cookies, car…

Yes, of course SMV is relative. But the point I'm trying to make is that if you make any decision to change yourself, it should be out of desire to improve. If you genuinely think that gaining weight/changing your body is going to objectively improve you (eg. if you lose fat but gain muscle), then go ahead. However, I strongly advise against doing anything that is objectively unhealthy just with the intent to get a man. I wouldn't recommend you pick up smoking because the men you like are intere…

Changing yourself for one specific man who may or may not date you even if you do make these changes -- changes which you are aware are not necessarily healthy and go against your better judgement (hence why you feel conflicted) -- is not a good idea. Period. If you want to change yourself, do it out of a true desire to become better and improve yourself. Don't gain weight just because you want a chance with one specific guy who happens to like a different and potentially unhealthy body type.

RPW isn't a list of ways to act, what jokes you're allowed to make, what things you can find funny, what words you are and aren't allowed to say, how loudly you're supposed to speak, or whatever. If your personality is soft-spoken, never swearing, disgusted by bodily functions, and refusing to talk about certain things, then you do you. However that doesn't inherently make anyone feminine, and trying to change your personality to fit in with a certain group of people (either to act more feminine…

My post is more about women trying to attract and seduce a man initially, by trying to show abundance and practice dread (the kind of dread that starts at level 5/6). Just be open and honest with him. There's no reason to be coy or play games. This is something serious and important to you (you even say you won't have sex if you're not trying to get pregnant), so don't lead him on (so to speak) by having him think you're interested in something that clearly isn't what you want to do. I would send him a message now, something along the lines of, "I have enjoyed our flirting a lot, but I want you to know something I consider very important..." and just tell him…

Um, I think you might be reading way too much into this. I highly doubt he is actually trying to get you pregnant. This seems more like sexual flirtation gone wrong. Be forthright that you're a virgin and not interested in having sex before marriage. Gauge whether or not you'll see him over the weekend based on his response to that (if he responds negatively or by trying to cajole you, avoid him, he only wants you for sex. If he responds positively/respectfully, go ahead and keep your plans).

There are no blanket rules on whether people can or can't spend time together, or how to do it, or whatever. It all depends on the context. I would say that generally if, as you're saying, both people are in a committed relationship, if they're hanging out alone together, that's fine provided both of their partners are okay with it. The closest thing to a rule I can give is that if one (or both) friends feels like they need to hide what they're doing, that's a sign they shouldn't be doing it.

I don't think jeans are absolutely necessary, especially if you don't find them comfortable. Leggings can definitely be cute if paired with a nicer top or a casual dress (which, yes, get more of if you like them!). You consider the fact that a man you're in a relationship with is cheating on you a normal thing? Was this something you came to an agreement on before, or did you just think this was something you had to accept in a relationship? If the latter -- honey, no. It sounds a lot like you're having some mental health issues, inspired by, inspiring, or in tangent with what's going on with your relationship. Loss of appetite, high levels of stress, sudden weight loss, lack of self-care and self-love ... truth be told, I think you need to work on your own mental health before you start trying to work on your relationship -- especially because if the root of the problem is your mental health, improving that will improve the relationship as a result. You menti…

sort of believe that a good sex life is key to a good relationship/marriage (not the only, but incredibly important). Compatibility (in all areas -- sexual, mental, emotional, etc) is the most important thing in a relationship. Not love, compatibility. Because no matter how much two people might care about each other, if they're incompatible in one area or another, you best believe that relationship isn't going to be a happy one down the line. Without compatibility, one partner (or even both) wi…

I think that's something the sub is pretty divided on, actually. But I wouldn't say the general rule is "don't live together before marriage!" so much as "if you want to get married, make sure you're both looking for the same thing before you move in together."

Firstly, congratulations! This is en exciting moment and I'm happy for you! Secondly, I think I can provide some good insight for you, as I'm in a similar situation (right down to working from home as well). The main thing is that I want you to be aware that there will likely be a period of time where things don't go perfectly smoothly, and that's okay. You're getting used to living together, to seeing each other's quirks, to seeing each other even when you're in bad moods or not feeling well, a…

Starting to date doesn't mean you take a break from working on yourself. It just means that you think you're at a place where you can be happy and comfortable in a relationship, while also aware that you are able to bring a lot of good things to it, not just baggage. If you're uncertain if you have enough to offer a potential partner, then just make a list of things you're able to provide. You can post the list as a reply if you like, and people here can try to help that way as well. Also, just …

To be clear, I definitely don't think this is the normal reaction, but there probably are a few other people like me out there. I think it has something to do with wanting to use sex as a means of comforting him. It probably also has a lot to do with the reason why he may be crying. He's cried twice in the time i've known him, and both were as a result of very intense, emotional fights where the future of our relationship was uncertain. If a woman cries every day, it won't kill her man's sexual attraction to her. Perhaps not his sexual attraction, because she can still be physically appealing. But I doubt any other kind of attraction (emotional, mental) would escape this multi-day cry-fest unscathed. How many women will become sexually aroused from soothing their crying husbands? None. Well I'm not married but I think we can change that number from 0 to 1. 🙄

Has your partner mentioned anything in the past that he particularly likes, is interested in, or would like to try/do? For example, maybe he casually mentioned he'd like to try bungee jumping, or has been looking for a specific object. If you can think of anything like that, surprising him with something he's mentioned wanting before would be great -- it shows you're a good listener and that you're able to, in a sense, take care of him. I'm not sure where you're getting the impression that I'm trying to get him to open up and talk about his feelings, since I specifically mentioned in my post that the issue wasn't something to do with emotions. There is no amount of sexual polarity than can make either of us mind readers. While this may often be the case, I think it's important to outline the fact that while a man may not be extremely interested in a woman's hobbies, it's still possible (and generally good behaviour) to ask questions about her interests, learn more about her, and possibly be able to have conversations about said interests (if there is some overlap in hobbies, for example). It's hard to go wrong with a nice bottle of wine (provided they drink), cake or cookies, or even a potted plant (possibly a bit more difficult if you're taking a plane). What would count as "constantly hit on" to you? I ask out of genuine curiosity. I would say if I'm out alone I get hit on about 50% of the time. That's not constantly, but I do think it's higher than perhaps what the average woman experiences, hence my comment. I don't think this is quite as hard and fast a rule as you're making it out to be. Of course, if a woman in a committed relationship is going out and giving off signs of being interested, that's a problem. But to say that the majority of cases of women being hit on are because she looks like she's available isn't really taking into account social and cultural differences. I get hit on a decent amount. Not assuming someone is exclusive to you has nothing to do with men being "animalistic" and unable to control their desire to fuck. It has everything to do with not making the kind of assumptions that, if wrong, can lead to very painful situations. I would say the exact same thing to a man. Gender, sexual orientation, none of that matters, because the advice is universal: don't assume somene is being exclusive to you if you haven't discussed or decided on it beforehand.

I disagree with your stance on waiting. I think it's perfectly fine to have standards in this regard, even strict religious standards. The key element here is that you're reasonable and consistent with your standards. Here are some examples. Yes, I agree with you here and with everything you said afterwards. Let me clarify what I mean, because it's not quite what you're thinking of. Of course, any woman can set a standard for herself as to how long she thinks is reasonable to wait to have sex/af…

You should never just "expect" him to give up on sleeping around after a certain amount of time. There is no set rule of "3 months means we're exclusive!" If you want to be exclusive, bring it up. If you don't bring it up, assume he's sleeping around because more than likely he's assuming the same of you. When someone is dating, they are dating around -- often more than one person at a time until they find one who 'sticks' well. There is no reason for anyone to be upset about this, because why w…

Physical attraction is definitely a key factor but it isn't everything, and neither is femininity. Personality traits (often tied to the kind of job a woman holds) are incredibly important as well. And while no man is going to be turned on by a woman's career choice, to assume that it's absolutely meaningless in 100% of cases is more than a little myopic. I would posit that the majority of men want a woman who is, all things considered, approximately equal to him. This doesn't mean they need to …

Oh definitely, a lot of people (male and female) think they can handle it and then realize during/after that they can't. If that is the case then you're right, it would definitely severely damage the person's RMV. But if this isn't the case and everything goes well, then within that relationship the RMV of the partner in question remains stable, and only once outside that relationship would it take a hit. Okay, thanks for clarifying that. I always assumed n-count necessarily included partners of…

It would drop the woman's RMV if she eventually ended up single again. Any kind of threesome can have the potential to do that (do men only count other men towards a woman's n-count?). But within a relationship where both parties are intending to stay together longterm, I don't think that would negatively affect her RMV within that relationship. I mean realistically, I don't think a man would want his girlfriend to do something if it made him view her in a negative light afterwards.

Here's the thing -- you're right! We definitely can't base a sub on exceptions to the rule, because that would be counterproductive. The problem is that the rule isn't "never have a threesome". The rule is that a woman shouldn't engage in activities that make her feel devalued, that she's not comfortable with, or that she feels pressured into. I'm sorry, but just because you've had bad experiences with threesomes and non-monogamy doesn't mean that everyone will, or that every instance will lead to failure. No, people aren't snowflakes. You can't make someone not have a fantasy anymore. Life doesn't work that way. You can, however, explain to him very fully and without reservation why this is something that bothers you, and why you don't feel comfortable doing it. High education level doesn't have much value to men but it's also not devoid of value. I'd say yes and no to this. Non-monogamy is not just "cheating" or "having lots of partners". And if you think that conservatives or rich people don't cheat, you're sorely mistaken. The fact that you dislike non-monogamy is fine. No one here is trying to force you into it. But trying to lump it in with a bunch of other things you happen to dislike, because you watched some show about "white trash swingers" and think hippies are gross isn't a particularly good or useful argument.

The idea of "swinging" and non-monogamy has a history much, much longer than "American hippies". The typical conservative American is Christan. You'd be hard-pressed to find a very religious person who's interested in what you're describing. But equating it, as a result, to liberalism or "being poor" or whatever other nonsense is more than a little ridiculous, and very unneccessarily judgemental.

You don't need to specifically mention TRP in order to discuss self-improvement or "rp truths". My boyfriend and I have similar discussions and he has no idea what TRP is, even though he often speaks in a way that might make one think he does. Just because someone seems aware of it doesn't mean they actually are -- there are "naturals". Plus, aren't men over at TRP encouraged not to discuss it with people, and especially women? I don't see why it would be much different for us. A magician doesn'…

There's a lot more to the idea of marrying up than monetary assets. So don't think of it as marrying someone richer than you - think of it as marrying someone you perceive as "better". Money can be a factor but it doesn't have to be.

I'm not American and I've never lived there. My view of guns comes from an international standpoint, not an American one. Guns are legal to own in every country I've lived in, and all have been more "left leaning" than the states. If the left wing of the States is vehemently anti-gun I am clearly unaware of it because I don't live there. But the overarching leftist view of guns is not one of despising gun owners. Believing that is a bit simplistic. Especially since I know many leftists who own g…

I don't think the majority of the left demonized guns and gun owners. The only time I ever see people saying the left hates all guns it's coming from people who misunderstand or who have been misled about what the common leftist idea about guns actually is. Some people hate guns, sure. But the majority don't have a problem with them in and of themselves - the problem is with laws that make it too simple to own a gun. The problem is with the government, not the common person who owns a gun. I'm s…

Alright, I've got four main goals for this month: 1 - spend 2 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the afternoon working on my thesis. On days where I find it difficult to stay on task or get started, use the pomodoro method. On days where I don't manage to complete two hours of work in the morning, add the remaining time to the afternoon. 2 - dedicate 1 hour to exercise (running by the canal [weather permitting], stretches, squats, core exercises) each Tuesday and Thursday morning, approximately…

One thing that helps me is asking, before I start the complaint, "Is this important?" If it is something genuinely important, try to phrase it in a way that doesn't come off as whining. If it isn't important, don't say it. And if you want to complain because you're having a bad day, for example, and want comfort, frame it in a way where you're not complaining so much as expressing the fact that you've gone through something difficult and are in need of emotional support.

Near the beginning of my relationship, I was in a somewhat similar position. When I asked him about it later, after he had changed, he said, essentially, that in the beginning he was unsure if I was interested in the same level of commitment that he was. As a result, he decided to essentially keep his options somewhat open, and not give me a commitment he was uncertain I was worthy of. Once I had proved to him that I wasn't interested in some short-term fling/fwb situation and I actually took th…

You are right. However, the point I'm trying to make is that you can be feminine while still being true to yourself. Not that you should indulge in bad behaviours (overdrinking, cursing to the point that you sound uneducated), but that you shouldn't feel you need to completely change your personality in order to attract a man. Self improvement is incredibly important. But often the advice to stop drinking, stop swearing, stop wearing pants, isn't coming from a place of genuine self-improvement. …

A picture isn't an accurate representation of what a person is like. I'm not advocating being a "drunken fool", but no matter how much you abstain from drinking or swearing, if you act in unfeminine ways -- if you are overbearing, pushy, naggy, aggressive, etc -- you are not feminine.

There are safer ways to go about exhibitionism, if that's his thing. Sex clubs, public sex if the aspect of danger is part of the exhibitionist thrill for him (you've mentioned you've done it in a car, but what about in abandoned buildings? Outside in a secluded area?), even just posting pictures instead of full videos. In pictures, you can carefully crop any identifying features.

If the idea of making porn doesn't interest you, then tell him that, along with everything you've just written here. You could also offer to make videos that will stay just between the two of you, if you're willing to compromise and trust that he wouldn't use these to post online. Edit: ther…

Being feminine doesn't have much to do with whether or not you drink. You could be an expert in whiskeys and be highly feminine. You could refuse to drink and not be feminine at all. If you have an addictive personality, a history of alcoholism, or just don't know when to say "no, that's enough for me", then yeah, you probably shouldn't drink. Not because it isn't feminine, but because it isn't healthy for you, period. Getting sloppy, black-out, vomit-everywhere drunk isn't a good look for anyon…

As long as a woman has the choice on what to do about her name, I think it's a non-issue. There are valid reasons on both side. Personally, if I ever got married (which is unlikely, as my boyfriend has expressed that he isn't interested in a traditional marriage, and I don't have strong feelings either way) I doubt I would change my last name. It has nothing to do with not loving my boyfriend enough, but quite honestly any new name would be a downgrade. My last name at the moment is an adjective…

Some children are like cats, and some are like dogs. That is, some want interaction on their terms, and will seek out adults or peers when they want it, and other will be happy to interact with most people under most circumstances. It sounds like your daughter is more "cat" than "dog", and I agree that it's probably not doing your husband any favours if he keeps trying to interact with her if she doesn't want it. I don't think announcing one's gender is ever useful online so I wouldn't do that anyway. You learn about your partner's body through continued contact with it. You learn where they're ticklish; what part of their body to touch to excite them; the particular shape of and position of this scar, that mole... and in that way, a partner may know your body better than you after a long period of time, because they're able to observe reactions to things that you don't really pay much attention to. I don't think anyone should be keeping track of your cycle except you. If you two feel comfortable sharing that information, there's obviously nothing wrong with that. And if/when you live with your partner, I feel like it will be pretty difficult for him not to know. But the idea that for a man to "really know" their woman they need to track her cycle? I don't think anything should really change in how you act whether or not your (potential) partner is bisexual. If they're interested in being in a monogamous and heterosexual relationship with you, their bisexuality is about as relevant as if they said they also like blondes, but you're a brunette. Vetting a bisexual man should be no different than any other man. The qualities you're looking for are the same no matter his sexuality. I will say, however, that you should be cautious. Most of the men posting on TRP or MRP are talking about relationships in crisis. A healthy relationship doesn't look like some childish woman throwing fits while daddy-boyfriend chastises her, and this isn't what anyone should be aiming for. Act like the calm and rational adult that you are, and you will attract calm and rational adults interested in having a healthy relationship. Don't throw tantrums to "make men feel strong". I don't think that male-male or female-female friendships are inherently better or worse than the other purely on the basis of gender. There are as many guys who make terrible friends as there are girls. The difference is generally the way that toxicity manifests itself, not necessarily the rate of manifestation itself. I think if people vetted friendships similarly to the way RPW insists women vet potential relationships, people would end up in far fewer negative situations overall.

I'm so glad you replied to my post; I frequently find myself agreeing with what you have to say and I'm happy to have your advice on this. We don't have children yet, but I can't imagine any scenario in which he wouldn't have fun and play with possible future ones. He's a teacher, absolutely loves kids, and talks pretty frequently about them/things we could do with them eventually. I don't find it exactly "fun", but I do frequently help him with various productive things he wants to do. Even so, I'll working with him but separately. For example -- yesterday he cut a tree that had fallen in our forest into smaller logs, which I then chopped into firewood-sized pieces. We worked together but completely separately, as he was in the forest cutting the tree, and I was elsewhere dealing with the wood. It's definitely enjoyable and I love being able to do these things with him, b…

I was once in a similar situation as you, and similarly was terrified that I would be 1 - terrible in bed 2 - unwanted and weird for my lack of experience But truthfully, that isn't the case. If someone is put off by the fact that you're a virgin, the problem is with them, not you, because you have the right to make whatever decisions you please about what happens with your own body, for better or worse. Some men may have a hard time "giving up control", so to speak, of something they're used to doing themselves. Especially if they have particularly high standards. My boyfriend for example confided in me that when I first started cleaning the house it was a source of stress for him because he didn't know if he could trust me to do it to his standards. He had never lived with anyone, male or female, who had previously cleaned to a level he approved of. It may be a similar case with your boyfriend…

/r/RedPillWomen23/01/18 10:59 AM

Exactly -- there's a big difference between having a successful career and working a job. Men with successful careers often (not always, but often) want to be with women who are at similar places in their lives, even if their eventual goal is that this woman will take significant time off work or stop altogether to raise children. An example - my cousin works in finance, and recently got married. I have met a few of his previous girlfriends, and not one of them worked a "job", they all had caree…

No, sorry, I don't agree with that at all. Careers aren't the most important thing, but they are not completely valueless in terms of relationships either. Would a man with a "high status" career be interested in being with a woman who works in fast food? Highly doubtful. Men are going to want someone who is on a similar level to them, not someone who reflects poorly on them. There isn't always a functional difference in a woman who waits tables vs one who works for NASA -- but if you have these…

You can't force yourself to change your personality, and you shouldn't try. If you are a soft and feminine person, there is nothing wrong with that, and nobody should try to make you feel as though there is. On the flip side of that, there's also nothing wrong with being a career woman/feminist. I would not say that career "doesn't matter". It just is not likely to be the main driving factor in why a man would choose to be with a specific woman. For example, a lawyer may be more interested in be…

I know that a lot of posters here say not to move in before engaged or married, because doing so will make a man less likely to want to marry you. And I'm sure this is true of many men. But you also have to understand that not every man is against the idea of marriage. Many of them feel quite positively about it and would very happily get married one day. "Being feminine" isn't about loving cute frilly things, and makeup, and wanting to have a thousand rolly-polly babies. Thinking of yourself as masculine or unattractive to men because you don't fit into a stereotype of femininity isn't useful in the slightest. Neither is trying to change your interests in order to be "more feminine". Ultimately I believe that separating interests into masculine and feminine isn't useful. Men can have feminine interests. Women can have masculine ones. These thing…

It's completely possible to be in a serious, committed relationship with someone, fully involved in their life and with their family, and still occasionally go to a bar. I think before any of your questions can be answered, we need to define what "casual sex" is. Is it just the one night stand that you bang once and never see again, or does it include friends with benefits, who you have a longer-standing relationship with, albeit without commitment? Is it "casual sex" if you knew the person very well beforehand, decided to try having sex, and then realizing you're just best as friends? Blood choke. Press the sides of the throat (where the arteries are, and not too agressively, instead build up pressure slowly) not the middle. If you want to breath choke, it's generally better to cover the mouth and nose instead. It's too easy to crush the trachea if you go for breath choking via the throat. That will just make her cough.

Not every girl is into choking. You need to check how she reacts to things like touching her neck and light pressure there (like you did) before moving on to actually choking her. A positive response when you do the aforementioned = choke her. Also, if you're going to do this, and especially if it's your first time fucking her, make sure you're both sober. If you're drunk, it's easier to misjudge things and accidentally choke her out.

I don't believe the boyfriend did anything wrong. She is, however, entitled to feel hurt by a lack of support during a time of extreme duress. Everyone is entitled to their emotions, and emotional reactions are valid responses. Problems only arise when people allow themselves to be wrongly guided by emotional responses. She is allowed to feel hurt, but if she were to start using that hurt to justify acting poorly towards her boyfriend, that wouldn't be right.

I read it more as a post about the importance of vetting potential partners, not as OP being standoffish. Trust does need to be earned during the early stages of dating -- from both parties. If you go on a few dates with someone and realize you don't think they seem trustworthy, there's no reason to keep being with them, and even less reason to be dependent on them. Okay, I'm very reassured that he's said that about you vs his ex! It's okay to recognize that someone was perhaps physically better, but overall not as great. LOL. I love that description ... it sounds horrible. And I absolutely agree with you -- sexual compatibility is very important, and while it's definitely something two people can work on together, it's good to know before you get into something extremely long-term and committed whether the person you're interested in being with is, well, actually someone you could see yourself having sex with for however many years.

I think the main thing is not to do things just because you feel pressured into it. If you don't feel comfortable kissing someone, don't do it. Don't feel comfortable having sex with someone? DEFINITELY don't do it! I know that many people around here advocate not having sex immediately, but there's no set-in-stone amount of time to wait. While I agree with you that being continually lost in fantasies when having sex with your partner isn't a good thing, I do think that in some cases, especially when orgasming is difficult, it's necessary to think of something else. Not being the partner isn't sufficient, but because thinking of the other person during that moment can, for some women, become more stressful than arousing. If a woman feels pressured to orgasm, if she gets lost in thoughts that "oh no, he probably thinks I'm taking …

Thank you. This definitely isn't what I wanted to hear, but I think it's exactly what I needed.

The thing is, I know he isn't keeping her around as a backup, which is what makes this more difficult for me. She lives in another country, and there's quite a dramatic language barrier between them. I have a very hard time imagining her as a fall-back, considering the relative difficulty and expense just to sleep with her again for a few weeks, let alone actually create a relationship. I respect your opinion about male and female friendships, and I know it's one that is shared by many members o…

They're selfies, very pretty ones. I don't know if I necessarily consider "exchanging nudes" as cheating, though it definitely was a breach of trust. I can be 100% confident he never physically cheated on me with her, as she lives in a different country relatively far away. My concern is less that he's going to leave me for her, or that he'll sleep with her. It's more the fact that knowing he clearly still has some attraction for her makes me uncomfortable and insecure. It makes me wonder if, in…

A set of small weight (5, 10, 20 pounds) should be sufficient. I don't know how strong you are currently, but if you're just starting out I would suggest starting with the 5-pound weights and slowly progressing upwards. If 5 pounds still feels like too much, or you would rather start even smaller, you can try 2.5 pounds. :) Motivation is great, but it's flaky. Force yourself to do things even when you don't want to -- that's the only way you'll be able to achieve your goals. And when you're feel…

Okay, in this case I definitely think the best thing for you to do would be to start with setting small goals for yourself. Set up a healthy meal plan, limit snacking (if you want to snack on something, make it a healthy something, like fruit!), and make an exercise plan. A small exercise plan. Don't kill yourself for an hour a day. Try taking a walk at some point, maybe do some stretches and light weightlifting when you get home after work, and go for a jog or do some other type of more "intens…

I think the first thing you need to do is rearrange your thought patterns. Getting fit and healthy is always a wonderful goal -- but doing it solely because you want to make someone else happy is possibly part of the reason you continue to fail. Not only should exercising and eating healthy, balanced meals be something you do out of an act of self-love, but it should also be something you find at least remotely enjoyable. If you're dragging yourself through weeks of something that feels like tor…

Every person has flaws. The only way those flaws will define you is if you let them, by not working on yourself and doing all that you can to improve your health and situation. It seems like you're already doing that, so I honestly wouldn't worry that your depression will keep you from finding someone. No reasonable man (or woman!) should expect absolute perfection in their partner. It isn't realistic and it isn't healthy. Granted, yes, people will have differing levels of patience and tolerance…

I've done this. Be very careful about who you choose to do this with. If it works out well it can work out very well and strengthen the bond between you and your partner. But if it works out poorly (because you get jealous, because one of you isn't into it, because he gets jealous, etc) it can work out very poorly. If you feel, however, that your boyfriend will look poorly on you for it, I don't know if the bond you have together is strong enough for such a thing.

Outside Québec, Canadian students don't really learn Québecois French. There's a bit more education about it, and we learn some terminology in order to be able to better understand them, but our primary education is in the French of France. So truthfully, I couldn't tell you much about the intricacies of Québecois, as it's not my dialect. Although I have been told that I pronounce certain words as if I were Québecoise. :P I think all language is full of those kinds of strange intricacies. It too…

More often than not, a guy isn't going to date you simply because of your intellectual traits. You need to bring more to the table than that. The same goes for a woman -- intelligence is wonderful in a man, but rarely is that the only thing a woman is looking for. If you put all the emphasis in dating and relationships on your intellect, then of course that's a problem. That doesn't mean your intelligence is unimportant or that men don't care at all about it. Men as a general group can be simila…

The ability to communicate better was a great surprise to me! Especially because I've always been a bit shy about coming across as dumb because it's not my first language. (Anxiety will do that!) I'm rather lucky in that I'm Canadian, so I've been learning French in some capacity my whole life. It's interesting to make note of the similarities between the languages, of course! I study linguistics so I've always found that a lot of fun. French and English are quite different grammatically but the…

I can also attest to the unexpected (at least for me) benefit of arguing or communicating in general in a second language. It really forces you to think clearly about what you're saying and to come into things with a better plan to ensure that you're well understood. I have to admit I'm a bit entertained because you're a Francophone having to communicate in English, and I'm an Anglophone having to communicate in French. ;) Opposite experiences but with the same effect!

I used to be a bit like you, in that I would fight and argue about things in conflicts, talk until I turned blue, and only end up worse afterwards. Not just in relationships, but in almost every context (except work, of course). But for me, coming to the realization that it often doesn't help has aided me immensely in being silent. I don't literally bite my tongue, but I do take deep breaths, count (I don't have any specific number I go to, but never anything exorbitant like 739), and nod. Good …

Girls' nights out are rare for me nowadays, as I've moved to another country and only see my closest female friends a handful of times a year. But our traditions have always remained the same, as we all have similar loves of FOOD! We like to find interesting new restaurants and dessert bars to spend a few hours gorging ourselves and talking. ;)

Everything doesn't need to be new all the time. If anything, continually trying to do new and exciting things will only get exhausting, for you and your (potential) partner. Being able to sink into comfort and routine is an important part of longterm relationships. Of course this isn't to say that after a time there should be an end to the new and exciting -- of course not. But things are only new and exciting insofar as they are out of the ordinary. If every day is an adventure, adventures beco…

Getting sick of the same kind of sex with the same person is a real thing, for men and women, if you're always having the same kinds of sex, and lots of it, with little variation. I would actually say that in my experince men are more likely to get sick of that faster than women are. (But that's just my experience and I certainly haven't slept with every man in order to know conclusively :P) edit: basically, if you're having lots of sex and doing other things together, just make sure that you bo…

If it's come to the point that all you're doing is having sex, and it feels like your relationship revolves primarily around that and little else, then it's probably too much. Not because it will "lose its value", but because you both risk getting sick of it/each other if all you do is have sex and nothing else. If, however, you both just have naturally high sex drives and indulge in that while also doing other things, I don't see any problem with that at all.

I would say that the majority of the time, if a person is continually turning conversations sexual in a manner that is more than just joking and humourous, that person is interested in hooking up. Rarely would they be interested in more than that at that particular moment. Certainly it's possible to end up in an LTR with someone who started out as a hookup, but that's not always the most likely outcome. If you have continually tried to express your boundaries, ignore the sexual comments, and try…

I think it can be healthy to get outsider perspective sometimes, from someone that you trust. I know that sometimes I will overreact to things and it's helpful to have my best friend around to calm me down and help me understand that something isn't as big a deal as I'm making it into. You have to be careful and present things in an objective manner, though, in order to avoid badmouthing, which can be something people find difficult. But I think what's even more important than not badmouthing (o…

If you ask him in a polite, casual way, it shouldn't come off as agressive. There's nothing wrong with being confident or showing that you have an interest in seeing him. But, as other commenters have said, just be prepared for the possibility of rejection. If he's saying yes to hanging out only from obligation then I don't think he's the type of person you should be getting into a relationship with anyway. That will build resentment in the future. However, if you're asking in a casual way, that…
