I don’t care about her anymore, most times I forget she exists

When I was still married my ex created an IG account. She would wake up at 4am and check her phone. I asked her what she’s doing and she said she’s checking to see how many likes she got on her post. Later on I found out that the guy lived on east coast and we lived on west coast. So what was really happening is he would wake up at 7am and send her a good morning message and she’d wake up at 4am to check it and respond. While I was in bed next to her.

Oh wow, where did she go for 36 hours?

I was vulnerable to a female friend I knew for 12 years before the divorce and she was like “hmm, none of my other male friends share this much” and it wasn’t a positive comment. I was like message received.

Not all of us are that lucky. Imagine going through all that with friends and family who didn’t care. It really soured how I look at people now

Can people grow together when they are in their 50s and have like 20 past short relationships or hookups or relationships before the current one? I just find it hard to be bothered to learn somebody’s 3 love languages and act on them, when it’s someone I just met and can turn out to be crazy with a ton of baggage. And I know she was just as nice as sweet to all of the 20-30 guys she was with before and it always ended. Why would this time be any different?

My mom had a minor operation and was in a hospital for 3 days and my dad was so mad that I didn’t call him every day, he wrote me a nasty email, even though I did call my mom directly to make sure operation went well. I was like dude, my wife left me and you didn’t call me. I’m doing better now, but how they treated me during my divorce will be directly proportional to the quality of the retirement home I put them in!

Yeah, it’s terrible to date some of these women. Oh he’s just a friend, oh we just went on a couple of dates but he’s my best friend now, I can’t stop talking to him, oh my phone died, oh I was tired and slept on my friends couch, oh that bikini picture I put on IG that 100 guys liked, oh that just for my memories and for my family to see what I’m up to. And if you say something about it, they call you insecure. I made it my boundary that if a woman calls me insecure I break up immediately. I am…

For friends sure, but for my parents and siblings I would think that they would want to know more and give me comfort, but they just didn’t care

I was left alone at a restaurant because a woman I was seeing got a call from her ex husband saying that he was “bleeding”. I finished my meal and texted her that it’s over. And I hear you about your list, I would also add women who want to just get free dinners and try all the restaurants they can’t afford themselves

I read the book the female brain, and in teenage years boys brains burn a lot of the communication neurons which allows them to focus on a single task, like when hunting a deer in old days, and now it’s focusing on science and computers. Whereas teenage girls need communication constantly. It is amazing how similar we are to other species in the animal kingdom.

My dad barely talked to me. My brother as well. I’m glad your family was better

Yup, we met in high school when I had a scarcity mindset. I met so many women I would have gotten along better with than her but I didn’t want to destroy the family we had, but she had no such issue
/r/Divorce_Men21/07/26 05:31 PM

Yeah, I think I burned out the small amount of patience my friends had. Also they look at you like you are lesser because something must be wrong if your wife left you. And I think they are also scared that their wives might talk to your ex wife and decide to get divorced as well.

The guy had no kids, it’s mind boggling why he’d go for my ex wife lol

How old are your kids? My ex wife turned out to be a terrible mom. She was a stay at home mom and I worked long hours so I never knew how mean she was to the kids. It’s only after the divorce that they opened up to me.

My ex wife was all smiles when I was approaching the office where we signed our papers, she saw I was somber and she immediately stopped smiling. I can’t believe she thought smiling from ear to ear was the right move.

Yeah my girlfriend referred to ex bfs as friends. I said a friend is someone who didn’t stick his penis in you. I made her cut off two of those guys. She said “but that’s mean to them, they’ll feel bad”, I said oh you care about their feelings more than mine, then maybe you should date them, and then she agreed. I also made her not tell me about guys she dated because like you I also said that means “a guy I fucked”. There is nothing I need to know about them except is something that’s necessary…

There shouldn't be a stigma in this. When women get divorced they go to the bar and sleep with random dudes. Men can't do that as easily, so we have to pay for it. I never have, but I wouldn't judge anyone for it.

Tell us more about 3000/month. Is it only until the kids are 18? What part is child support and what part is spousal support? In the calculation did they take into account that she should be working just like how you are working? Also, what sucks is that you still have to pay tax on that 3000 even though you never get it, while it’s tax free for her

Yeah I was also going to say it but didn’t know how to phrase it. The ones that did listen only listened for free entertainment, like how people slow down for a car crash. At the same time my ex wife had a cackle chorus of 20 women who were cheering her to leave me and the kids to “find herself”

I remember walking up every day thinking “is this the day I end it all” I have 2 kids so I would never do it, but when it’s your first thought from the gut when you wake up, before your rational mind takes over is scary. None of my friends took me out for a beer. None of them asked if there’s something they can do. None asked how I was doing. None offered to set me up on a date. She is 100% cheating on you. Where there’s smoke there’s fire. Our intuition is great but women have started this psyop that we shouldn’t be controlling and can’t even ask questions. You know her PT is having her ass blown out. Call a lawyer for a free consultation or get a book on divorce. You have more rights than you think.

I spent months where the first thought I had after waking up was my ex. Then I went on dating apps. The first woman I talked to was great. We talked for like 4 hours on the phone. The next time I woke up the first thing I thought about was her and my ex was the second thing I thought about. Now I almost never think about my ex at all. Yup, I was in there 2 years ago. The worst thing people could have told me was “it gets better”. Yeah I know it will get better but what do I do TODAY. I don’t know your situation but what helped me was having sex with other women. That’s how I was able to forget her.

Yeah, when I was dating after my divorce I ran across a few of them, they said they liked the attention at first, but then they just felt used because the guys would only want them for sex. For example they'd call them at 11pm asking to come over and then after sex they'd leave. Women want to be cuddled after sex, so when the guy leaves they felt used. I equated it to my experience with dinner dates. I could get any woman to go on a dinner date, but after 1-2 dates they would ghost me. I realize…

Get rid of the dog. Also most women after they divorce/separate jump on the cock carousel. No matter how loyal, sweet, innocent you thought she was, and no matter how many times she told you she just wants her peace and space and is not looking to date, they all immediately jump on the cock carousel.

It was mostly CBT. The problem is you don’t really know how you and the therapist will mesh until you’re even with them for 1-2 months. I would make sure they ask me questions, not just listen. And I would make sure they remember stuff, so it’s not always like starting from scratch. And I’d want to make sure they’re not just telling me what I already read in the books, but they’re applying it to my specific situation and personality. I would meet with them once a week and if after 4-6 sessions I…

Even with adult kids. It brings baby daddy drama. About 20% of women in their 40s don’t have kids, sure it shrinks the dating pool but it’s still doable. I’m not weirded out by a woman that doesn’t have kids. For some it just doesn’t happen. Maybe they have a miscarriage and it turns them off from trying again. Maybe they never meet a guy with whom they want kids. I am weirded out if they hate kids though. My current gf doesn’t have kids and none of her single friends have kids. All in their 40s…

I agree, it’s a fine balance. If you are too nice, she will lose respect and leave. If you are too mean; she won’t enjoy spending time with you and will leave. Also if you contact her constantly she will feel like you are too needy. If you don’t contact her much she will think you are not into her or have side chicks.

This is a tough one. First things first, fix your drinking. Find AA in your neighborhood and go today.

There’s a balance. If you are too nice she will get the ick and leave. If you are too mean she will get the ick leave. Heck even being perfectly balanced, she might get the ick and leave. Just protect your assets so if she does leave you’re not destroyed

He admitted he was cheated on. He admitted he was weak. And he wanted us to give it to him straight. There’s nothing misogynistic about what I wrote.
/r/Divorce_Men28/02/25 06:11 PM

Did she fuck other dudes? Swallow their cum? And you’re going to kiss those lips now?
/r/Divorce_Men28/02/25 05:20 PM

Who are you?
/r/Divorce_Men28/02/25 07:52 AM

Dude you’re separated, she’s gonna sleep with the time square cowboy
/r/Divorce_Men25/02/25 10:26 PM

She got tired of the cock carousel and now wants you to pay her bills again
/r/Divorce_Men12/02/25 03:31 PM
8

I would try
/r/Divorce_Men12/02/25 03:29 PM
0

I would have all of my 401k, all of my stocks, all of my house equity if she died. And most of all, I would have support of my friends. Now most think I did something wrong and have ghosted me or think divorce is contagious. And now I have to deal with her and kids and the fact that she’s living with some trucker
/r/Divorce_Men08/02/25 06:59 AM

You’re a better man than I am. I remember this shit and if they have an issue I just shrug like they shrugged for me.
/r/Divorce_Men07/02/25 07:16 AM
3

That’s a good reframe and might work if you have no kids and never have to see her again but if you have children or have to pay alimony you have to be in contact with her
/r/Divorce_Men07/02/25 07:10 AM
3

I would say death of spouse should be #2 and divorce should be #1
/r/Divorce_Men07/02/25 02:25 AM
3

I hate when people bring up break ups. You don’t lose your 401k and your house in a break up, even if it’s a bad breakup
/r/Divorce_Men06/02/25 08:30 PM
3

Even my brother and my parents didn’t really care. I also haven’t spoken with my brother since mid October, no check in to see how I’m doing
/r/Divorce_Men06/02/25 08:29 PM
5

It would be much easier if she died. I wouldn’t have to live with knowing she moved in with something before the divorce was even official, I would have not lost any money and I would get infinite support as a widower, and I wouldn’t have any alimony payments.
/r/Divorce_Men06/02/25 08:27 PM
8

I had to give her a million bucks. And she’s moved out of state and isn’t helping with kids anymore. So I’m basically a single dad with a special needs child. It’s not so easy
/r/Divorce_Men06/02/25 06:27 PM
2

Yeah at some point you have to fight back. My ex and I went through mediation and he very casually said “ok she gets half of your 401k” and I was like NO she doesn’t. He was surprised and my ex started to cry. In the end she only got like 25% of my 401k. It felt good to stand up to the mediator
/r/Divorce_Men06/02/25 04:50 PM
7

Yup, that’s probably the worst thing, not only do they not support me, they think I’m some horrible person because I must have cheated or been abusive or inattentive. When all that happened was she decided she wanted to fuck the guys that slid into her Instagram DMs.
/r/Divorce_Men06/02/25 04:43 PM

Dad of my son's childhood friend who's been to my house many times just ghosted me. Ridiculous.

Sorry to hear about your sister.

Hop on a dating app and start talking to some ladies. Also she didn't reconnect recently. Her ex HS bf is the reason she wanted the divorce
/r/Divorce_Men06/02/25 08:23 AM
2

The worst part is that most of those women on dating apps in their 40s have slept with a bunch of guys in their 20s and 30s and now they want you to take care of them.
/r/Divorce_Men06/02/25 08:22 AM

/r/Divorce_Men12/01/25 07:25 PM

/r/Divorce_Men12/01/25 07:24 PM

I gave her plenty of attention and she shut me down most of the time. I told her, what am I supposed to do, I am not going to cheat on her by getting sex elsewhere, she doesn't want to have sex with me, it's a personal hell for a man to be in that situation and the only relief I had was porn. She never understood it.

I had the same thought, last Christmas, last kid’s birthday, last my birthday. But guess what, she doesn’t care. She’ll be with some new dude in a year, so don’t feel sorry for yourself, try to be strong and focus on finding a new woman

/r/Divorce_Men13/11/24 07:20 AM

Yup same with me. It was funny, I would be in bed with a stuffy and as soon as she’d come in the bedroom it would go down by 1 inch and be squishy. It was unbelievable. Also I didn’t know how much different the vaginas feel. I got used to my ex wife’s vagina and her position. I was having sex with shorter women and it felt so off.
/r/Divorce_Men01/10/24 10:16 PM
2

Dude, stop for a week and you’ll see how strong your erections are. Also same thing happened to me. Divorce is like a death in the family. And being with a new woman is like cheating on your ex wife. Go to the doc, get some cialis, take it for a month, then wean off it

Same thing happened to me, I missed out on 2 ladies cos they were like this guy isn’t into me cos he can’t get hard. Then I met a woman who’s had that happen to her before so she knew it’s temporary. We’ve been together 11 months now and sex is great.
/r/Divorce_Men31/07/24 03:20 PM

It’s a common thing that nobody talks about. Separation is a huge stressor, like a death. And you’re still in it and facing divorce. There’s also part of your subliminal brian that thinks you’re cheating. You’re probably a sensitive guy. What helped me was Cialis, that will get you going with a lady and then later you can stop taking it, once your brain is used to her. Talk to your doctor about Cialis I was told that testosterone is only for the drive, not erection. What’s your BMI? If you’re ov…

/r/Divorce_Men30/07/24 01:30 PM

Why are women such a cliche. Everytime the wife asks for separation it’s after she’s been secretly talking to guy for months. And who are these jerks who will talks to a married woman and ruin a marriage, when they can just talk to a single woman instead.
/r/Divorce_Men30/07/24 12:45 PM

My ex wife find a guy through instagram and then wanted to separate after 20 years of marriage. The thought of this guy fucking her made me sick to my stomach. I also felt betrayed and made a fool out of. The only thing that helped was to get a new piece of ass myself.
/r/Divorce_Men30/07/24 12:44 PM

We’re actually on a 2 week vacation now, that’s how I found out about this woman. I knew they were talking but didn’t know they were exclusive
/r/Divorce_Men21/07/24 04:56 AM
3

Yeah, divorce laws were written to encourage women to leave. My ex wife didn’t work, so she leaves me, gets to ride the cock carousel and takes half of the money I earned throughout my life and gets monthly checks so she still never has to work. It’s funny how they say well you have to make sure she lives the life she was accustomed to. But she decided to leave that life, why do I have to pay her to live that life she left, with some other guy. Marriage in todays age is insanity

The good thing is that you weren’t married for 12 years, only 1.5. Max alimony should be only 7 months. And any assets you had before marriage are yours, so you split only the increase in the last 1.5 years. When women say “I don’t want to miss out on life” they mean “i don’t want to miss out on riding the cock carousel”
/r/Divorce_Men20/07/24 07:01 AM
2

Yeah seems like you were too permissive. We men are beaten into submission to let women do whatever they want otherwise we are controlling pigs. Then they use that freedom to cheat on us. I mean Gisele cheated on Tom Brady with her jiu jitsu coach. Nothing can come good out of a woman having a male personal trainer, yoga teacher, tennis partner etc
/r/Divorce_Men20/07/24 06:55 AM

How long was he her tennis partner and were they tennis partners when you were still married?

She seems like a rebellious teenager right now. And disguising it under a cloak of a desire to be her own person, and fueling it with "you go girl" cheerleader friends and an unsustainable level of inspiration from her new freedom and learning who she is. A dark part of me looks forward to when it all comes crashing down. This is so dead on!

There is definitely ghosting and rejecting but who cares? Keep going until you find one that is right for you. I also didn’t date for 20 years but I really wanted to fall asleep while spooning a woman. I can’t sleep alone. Last night as I was spooning my gf I remembered how much I wanted this and now I have it. Yes I hit Hinge and Bumble pretty hard. One week I had dates with 6 different women, one each night except Monday. 😀 Also the girls that I was not attracted to I would keep as friends and…

Yes that’s what I thought too, but there are a lot of hard moments coming brother. Just think about the fact that you’re not the only one going through it and it gets better on the other side. I dated 27 women since my ex moved out and it was a blast. I’m now with someone for 6 months and she’s so much better than my ex
/r/Divorce_Men06/03/24 09:45 PM

For me it was 5 months of me pleading and begging her to stay. Once I realized it was unsalveagable we went to the mediator twice and it was all over in 2 weeks. We had to wait 6 months for the official day, but it was painless , other than shelling out a bunch of money

As soon as my ex said we won’t be intimate anymore I hopped on dating apps to get laid lol If she’s at peace with it there’s nothing you can do but move on. What I found is that by the time she asks for the divorce she has already been thinking about it for 2 years while you are blindsided. My ex also told me she loved me but had no intimate feelings towards me. Everything I did to make her change her mind actually made her lose respect for me. I should have just agreed to walk away right away and keep my dignity intact and hit the gym and dating sites sooner.

I can imagine, I was told that on Bumble where the women make the first contact 85% of them have their height filter set to 6 feet. So someone who is even 5’11 will not even be seen by 85% of female users.

Nothing, kids are over 18
/r/Divorce_Men09/01/24 02:56 PM

You can’t change your height, but why are you unemployed? My girlfriend told me that short guys are ok if they are muscular. So one thing you could do is start hitting the gym. She told me the reason women look for guys over 6 feet is because they want to feel protected. She said a bean pole 6 foot guy is no good. And if you are 5’7” and muscular they will feel protected.
/r/Divorce_Men09/01/24 02:33 PM

I hope you don’t find another woman like her. I hope you find someone way better than her! However it took a lot of effort and intentional dating to get through 26 women to get to my girlfriend. It would have been very easy to give up after 5 or 10 or 15, but to me stopping and being alone was never an option. I knew someone great for me was out there and that’s what kept me going.
/r/Divorce_Men09/01/24 02:27 PM

New gf is 5 years younger than the ex. I don’t know for sure if the ex is worse off, I cut off contact with her 3 years ago cos my kids are over 18. The only thing I know about her is what I hear from the kids. But the fact that she finally realized that she never had to worry about anything and now she does, tells me she’s worse off.

Go on a cool trip and take some great photos. My current girlfriend told me what stood out for her was that I had photos in Europe (shows I’m cultured and like to travel) and I had hiking photos (shows in active and she also loves to hike). But also I’m over 6 feet tall and have a tech job, however none of that worked because my pictures weren’t that good. It was really after I went to Europe and posted my Europe pictures that my matches really took off.

Over 6 feet tall and a tech job. Also I went to Europe after my divorce on a solo trip and took some great photos in front of the major landmarks. Bumble and Hinge my man
/r/Divorce_Men14/12/23 01:19 PM

That is exactly the image you need to have to get over her. You don’t want sloppy seconds from 2 different guys. She’s for the streets my man. Get on Bumble and get yourself some bumblerinas and tinderelas.
/r/Divorce_Men13/12/23 04:24 PM

Just think of that guy she cheated with cumming all over her face. You’ll never be able to look at her the same way

Oh man, I texted my wife that she’s a cunt whore, wonder what the judge would say about that language haha

Too weak. Don’t shake his hand man. Fuck that guy

Are you my therapist? Haha

Yikes, why did she take her side? Were they close?
/r/Divorce_Men29/11/23 06:18 PM

Yeah this sub has been great. I've been here since maybe May.
/r/Divorce_Men29/11/23 06:18 PM

The reason why it helps is if others read this post and they have a male friend going through a divorce, this is a reminder to reach out to him. Also I'm getting some good advice from other comments. As far as God, I am Catholic and the church doesn't recognize divorce. So either I am celibate for the rest of my life, or I'm a sinner if I get a girlfriend. I feel very stuck in this situation and haven't gone back to church since the separation.
/r/Divorce_Men29/11/23 06:18 PM

Yeah my ex would never cook. She'd just buy fast food and bring it home. I've been cooking like a maniac since she left, had so many home cooked delicious meals with my son.
/r/Divorce_Men29/11/23 06:16 PM
3

Yeah I don't miss her at all, I'm just mad at family and friends that should have known better.
/r/Divorce_Men29/11/23 06:15 PM

No, we were together for 20 years so most of the friends we met after we were already married.

Exactly.
/r/Divorce_Men29/11/23 08:47 AM

Yeah if you don't let them go to parties without you with men you don't know and have never met then you are narcissist, controlling and abusive. My ex was 46 and acted like she's 16. Instagram brain virus got her and I'm here taking care of my son and picking up the pieces.
/r/Divorce_Men29/11/23 08:45 AM
2

It's amazing how crazy women are. I talked to probably 200 women on OLD this year and some I find interesting but not attractive so I try to poke around their brain to see how they think. So many women told me that if they like a guy they pull back and then the guy thinks they're not interested and dumps them. I'm like, do you have any self awareness to correct your behavior and not pull back, and they didn't, they just kept doing the same thing.
/r/Divorce_Men29/11/23 08:29 AM

I call it the 80/20 rule. 80% of women are going for top 20% of men. And the 80% of men get the bottom 20% of women.
/r/Divorce_Men29/11/23 08:27 AM

Not the guy you replied to, but I separated in May and immediately went on Hinge and Bumble, went on like 27 first dates (and less second and even less third dates) until I found a girl I liked in September and we've been dating since.
/r/Divorce_Men29/11/23 08:26 AM

You write a good story, I can tell you are a filmmaker. This whole "girl boss" , "bad bitch" shit is so toxic but if you say anything against it you're a misogynist and if it gets to your employer you can lose your job. Instagram ruined my marriage, and those stupid astrology accounts. She would read them for her zodiac sign and it would say that new beginnings are coming and she thought that means divorce and finding a new guy. How stupid could she be???

Thanks but we already did and signed mediation in May and it’s been entered into the court in August
/r/Divorce_Men19/11/23 04:39 PM

That’s true, it would probably be 5x worse if I was alone and she had someone. I do find comfort in my girlfriend. I dated one woman who was divorced for 9 years and she told me still gets angry about her ex husbands new girlfriends. So it will probably never go away
/r/Divorce_Men19/11/23 04:38 PM

Thanks man. I pay their tuition and board and food in college, I buy them used cars they can drive in their college town. I pay for their car and health insurance. I do everything for them, so they better not talk to these losers that my hoe ex wife is bringing home. My son who texting her boyfriend apologized, I told him I know he was forced into it by my ex wife and I forgive him but he's not allowed to do it again.

I have a girlfriend of 3 months and she met my son recently. He told my ex wife that he met my new girlfriend, and I think to pay me back she made him text her boyfriend. The thing is. my son lives with me and my girlfriend wants to come over, so she asked to meet him. And it went well. But he doesn't live with my ex wife and he doesn't need to know about her boyfriend. I have cut off all communication with her so I can't tell her not to involve them, but I told my sons they are in no way allowe…

Yeah, I am so happy she's gone, but I was hoping that she'd realize she screwed up in leaving. If she's happy with this new guy it means that I wasn't that hard to replace. Maybe that's what hurts the most, maybe I'm not as good as I thought.
/r/Divorce_Men18/11/23 07:54 PM

I am talking to the therapist but all the does is ask me questions and never helps me. I am focused on myself but it's so hard when I hear these things, my blood pressure goes up, my heart wants to jump out of my chest, She's living in my head rent free and I don't know how to evict her. We've been together 20 years so it's hard to think she's with someone else.
/r/Divorce_Men18/11/23 07:52 PM

We went through mediation in May 23. She moved out in July 23. She told me about this guy in October, and they must have known each other way before then. She won't tell me who it is or anything about him, so I think that's also why I keep wondering what he's like, is he taller, younger, more fit, more rich etc. If I knew who it was then at least I could be put at ease if he's worse then me, but for now the mind wonders.

What did the sex therapist help with?
/r/Divorce_Men14/11/23 07:56 AM

It’s good to see other people were useless too. I was useless for a few months, it’s hard to focus in meetings when your wife is telling you she wants half of your 401k. Also spending lot of time on this forum. I’m 100% back now and it’s been 4 months since she moved out.
/r/Divorce_Men14/11/23 07:53 AM

Well there you go. It wasn’t about the lawyer donating to her campaign. The judge listened to your kids. You shouldn’t be mad at the judge. You should be mad at your kids.

Oh she’s one of those, with her cluck chorus cheering her every bad move.

/r/Divorce_Men02/11/23 04:19 PM

It’s all about reframing
/r/Divorce_Men31/10/23 05:36 AM

I found the same thing. I do laundry once every 10 days or so. I do dishes every week or so. It's so easy! As for cooking, I am now seeing that my ex just bought shit from Trader Joes and heated it up for 7 minutes lol Even pasta with bolognese sauce only takes like 10 minutes.

Your mistake was thinking she’ll abide by the agreement when she didn’t abide by the vows. I also recently got a text like this and I blocked her phone. I also signed up for online therapy to learn how to “gray rock” her
/r/Divorce_Men26/10/23 06:27 AM

Your mistake was letting her have a trainer
/r/Divorce_Men26/10/23 05:57 AM

I actually started CBT therapy just this week to learn how to emotionally detach myself from her. .So far the only way I am able to cope is to put my dick in other chick’s butts. But that’s not a long term solution.

/r/Divorce_Men20/10/23 03:43 AM

I was doing all of this (gym, reconnecting with old friends, hobbies) while also dating. I went on 27 first dates since May (only 3 made it more than 5 dates) and I’ve recently selected one which checks every box and I couldn’t imagine living without her. I hope to be in your position 15 years from now. But if not, I will break up with her. There no way I’m getting married again and dealing with that shit. My ex was an emotional terrorist. I still have scars from her yelling.
/r/Divorce_Men20/10/23 03:40 AM

You can still improve yourself and fuck Bumblerinas. It’s not mutually exclusive. That’s my whole point. I’m not saying just fuck Tinderellas and stagnate; you can still improve.

/r/Divorce_Men19/10/23 04:08 PM

Dude it's just one girl. And the age gap is huge! She probably didn't find you attractive. Find a 35 year old woman with a 7 year old kid. It took me 27 first dates to find the one I jived with.

Can you tell me more about Larginine? How do you use it?
/r/Divorce_Men16/10/23 05:23 AM

Common occurrence. You can't run after a knee surgery. Sometimes you can't have sex after divorce. There's healing that needs to happen. Go to a urologist, he can check the prostate and also he might prescribe Cialis. Sometimes it takes some Cialis to get it going with a new girl, and once it happened a few times, you won't even need Cialis anymore.

/r/Divorce_Men14/10/23 12:42 AM

The fact that he’s from her last means she wanted that dick that whole time. And now the dude doesn’t want her. Everyone you have sex with her you’ll think of that guy pumping her. Don’t go back!

Don't listen to that guy. Women love if you're a good dad. At first I didn't talk about my kids and the women were like "how come you don't talk about your kids". So I started to talk about my kids and they're like "you're a great dad" and "one guy i went out with never talked about his kids, that was weird". But whatever you do, do not talk about your EX!! They don't want to be your therapist.

Same here. My stbx doesn’t work, I asked her to get certifications to get a job and she refuses, but also said she sacrificed her career for me. She sacrificed it for Facebook and instagram and TikTok lol

Yes. Pictures are key but you also have to look gold. I recommend people lost 20-30 lbs before going on OLD because behind in shape is the biggest currency as matches are mostly based on how you look

Ouch that hurts. Mine served me divorce papers on my birthday, even though she repeatedly said she wouldn’t.

I found spinning plates impossible, I keep forgetting what I talked about with each woman, but it’s good to have a pipeline of women so she gets jealous and doesn’t get comfortable when you’re in a monogamous relationship. The worst part during my separation was thinking I’ll never find someone else, but I did in like a week haha

I’ve had terrible dates, I’ve had dates that were with what I thought were awesome women who ghosted me right after, but you just gotta keep going until you meet someone who you are compatible with, it takes time but even the bad dates are just funny stories at this point.

The best way I can describe it is if all you drove all your life was 1985 toyota corolla and it stalled on you all the time, had to spend a ton of money on it for repairs and it finally dies and you're sad cos you lost your car. But then you start test driving porsches and bmws and ferraris and you're like hot damn, why was I so sad about my 1985 toyota corolla. And maybe you can't afford those cars, but you'll find a nice Honda CRV that you'll be very happy with long term.

My splitting assets thing was in May. Since then I've went on numerous dates, and I have 4 girls that I'm dating. They don't know about each other, but we're not exclusive so it's ok. They are probably seeing other guys which I don't like, but again, we're not exclusive. I don't know if i'd ever want to be exclusive with one woman. There is an abundance of pussy out there.

It’s California. Married for 18 years so a marriage of long duration. I basically negotiated it directly with my stbx. She felt bad that she was leaving me and was ok with taking like a half less than what the calculator said. The mediator tried to talk her out of it but she said she wants to make her own money so she didn’t want to fleece me

Didn't the divorce teach you that marriage is just a financial contract. When I was getting divorced I only had to list my assets and income, that's all marriage was good for. It didn't matter who loved who, who left who. It was purely a business money transaction.

I had the same experience, the vagina feel was different, and not for the better. Maybe it was a lot looser? Also she is shorter than my stbx so the angles were off. I also couldn't cum, and she commented on how that bothers her.

Exactly. Caesar’s wife was put on trial for infidelity. After the trial Caesar declared her guilty and sentenced her to death. Several nobleman went up to Caesar and said, you know we don’t really have proof, are you sure want to sentence her to death. And Caesar said, when her behavior gives so much doubt it doesn’t matter if she did it or not, she is guilty. That’s how I feel. Her actions around that time definitely led to the end of the marriage even if I don’t have a smoking gun

I think I was in love with the family unit, father, mother, kids and not with her and I’ve let her go but I still miss that family unit. Now if I go somewhere it’s just me and my kid or me and my date, that family that I loved is gone and that’s the hardest part. Since she was eager to leave we did do mediation and she did take less than what she’d get in court, but she still took a lot.

I don’t have a smoking gun. The guy who sent her that note did get married a few months later to a woman much younger than my ex so I don’t see why he would risk it. His wife also works at the same place so I don’t see how they could hide it. I think she just liked her friends group more than me. But what does that life look like? Being alone? I actually liked being married, the main issue I had with the divorce is that my ex was a stay at home mom, and then when it came time to split she felt entitled to the money that I ruined my health for over 25 years to make and save and grow. If we could have split and I walk away with the money in my account and she walks away with money in her account, and no alimony, I wouldn’t feel bad about it at all.

Don’t do it. Have a wedding, buy her a ring, but don’t get a marriage license. The state doesn’t need to be involved

I have a post on this sub where my ex called me a narcissist. I’m confident in myself as everyone should be, but I don’t need admiration, power etc which are traits of the narcissist. I work a 9-5 job and I don’t even want a promotion anymore I just want to save enough to retire. Hardly characteristics of a narcissist. But the cackle chorus at her job and her Insta followers convinced her of this, and they never even met me. It validated her though. She came to drop something off for our son and…

The fact that you make way more money than her will hurt you in the divorce. Just remember second marriages have 75% chance of failure.

She didn't "just end it". She had been planning this for years. She already mourned the death of the marriage so when she told you about it the first time you feel like she didn't care at all. Also women don't care about the past. They have no loyalty, no honor, no sense of duty. Have you ever heard a woman be described as honorable? Women only look to the future. She was convinced by FB, Insta, TikTok that her future will be better off without you than with you and she has no problem leaving yo…

BS lol. Girls put their age preference as 5 years above their age. Even if those girls would like you in person, they will never see you in the app because of the filter. I believe you can get late 40s and 50s women, but early 30s? No way.

Even asset split isn’t fair. I worked my ass off to get more education and worked hard to make and save money. She did absolutely nothing to increase her earning power but spent my money like it grows on trees. There’s no way she should be entitled to half of the assets.
/r/Divorce_Men11/08/23 05:23 PM

Yeah that was what the calculator in my state showed, they said it should be 60-40. My stbx made nothing so so I would have to give her 40% of my money. It would have erased 13 years of raises while everything else went up since then. Luckily we went to mediation and she agreed to less. It’s still a lot of money but less than 40% I think she suspected I might leave the country, so a large amount is still better than 0

You don’t care about her. If you find someone to care about, it will be better. I posted here earlier about going on bunch of dates and loving it. The key is to be mysterious. Don’t tell them too much about yourself. Be like Batman 😀 Also let them know you have plenty of other options (but without actually saying it) and they have to compete for you. Once they don’t have to compete they lose interest The way you tell them you have options is you onlt schedule them 1-2 nights a week and if they ask for more say “oh I have plans already” . They’ll know it’s a girl and will trigger their competitive instinct. In the end it’s all trial and err…

I don’t know about the last part. Women say they want that, but then they go out with bad boys who’ve never even heard of therapy. I like to watch how people act rather than what they say. Nice guys get friend zoned. Actually now that I think about it, I think that’s why the therapist is dating me, maybe she thinks she can “fix me” 😀 If you would like to read something, I would recommend Rational Male. It was eye opening for me.

Thanks for the detailed answer. All of those are good things to learn and do. For me though, I’ve already got the information for that from other places. 1. Yes, she wanted to go to parties with her coworkers whom I’ve never met. All I asked was her to come back by 9pm or so. It’s one of the main things that ended our marriage. She was say “but they’re my frrieeeendz” (in that way like she’s a teenager). I said ok, invite me to the party too, and she’d say oh can’t I have something just for myself. Red flags. Wow, that’s crazy she left like that. My ex does have a TON of childhood trauma which I won’t get into. But I did ask her once if she’s bipolar and my parents told me once that she did act bipolar.

If you look into the past, men were always attacking and conquering other tribes. Woman who was loyal to her conquered husband was also killed and didn’t reproduce. The women who survived and reproduced were the ones who would jump into the victor’s bed. That’s why women practice hypergamy, it’s how they evolved. As soon as there’s a better guy available, they go for him.

They changed after she got a new job 3 years ago. Lots of female coworkers, lots of ways to complain about me to them and get sympathetic ears. I think we are in love with the idea of a wife. Someone to be there for you in the good times and the bad. Somebody to listen to your problems. Somebody to fall asleep with and wake up next to. But the women who filed divorce from us are not those women anymore. I am starting to see my ex the same way I see my mortgage company, just somebody I have to send some money to every month. Nothing more. Nothing less.

It’s not fear, it’s knowledge. Knowledge of how women are wired, and that they only care about “what have you done for me in the last 24 hours”, where we men have loyalty and honor. Women have none of that. Men fall in love of being a dad and family man, while women are trying to see how they can upgrade. It’s not their fault, it’s just how they’re wired. You should also know that when I use terms like men and women I don’t mean all men and all women, but a very large percentage. It’s not the fe…

To be loyal to her killed or enslaved husband or to join the victors and be with them? This is why they don’t have any loyalty to the “lesser” man in their eyes. Lol. My stbx didn’t wear her wedding ring for years cos she also said she got fat and it wouldn’t fit. I said we can go resize it and then came the excuses of why it’s not practical to wear one at work. Looking back, her stopping to wear the wedding ring was when she checked out of the marriage
/r/Divorce_Men17/07/23 06:47 AM

The reason I brought it up is because my stbx moved out on Friday and it brought up emotions in me I didn’t know I had. I also though I was in acceptance stage, but being in the house alone with my son really made me angry and still does.
/r/Divorce_Men17/07/23 06:17 AM

You think you're in the acceptance stage, but she still lives in the same house. Wait till your are in your own apartment, you will hate her for what she did to you. Also you told the neighbors you are separating, instead of that you are divorcing, probably because you don't like the D word. You're not in the acceptance stage yet. I don't say this to correct you, I say this to expect emotions you haven't felt yet.

People told me I was lucky my kids were over 18 cos I didn't have to pay child support, but in my calculations that money would have just gone to spousal support so i didn't really save anything, so I believe your numbers.

Here are some tips. 1. There are plenty of fish in the sea 2. A girl knows whether she’ll sleep with you within the first 5 minutes, maybe even faster 3. Figure out if she’s the one who will or won’t as soon as you can. I put my arm around her as we’re walking out of the restaurant. If she reciprocates, it’s a good sign. 4. If the first date doesn’t end with a kiss, she won’t sleep with you. The only case is if she was in a rush or there was some weird situation. If you walk her to her car or do…

Did you read that book? You’ll find that what I posted is in line with that book. You need to be unpredictable and exciting otherwise the woman gets bored. I’m not talking about lazy and horrible wives which their husband should divorce asap. If you read my post again you will see that I am talking about a guy who is blindsided but the divorce and then says “how could this have happened to me???” I’ve seen a lot of these recently. Where did I say that women can do no wrong? You can choose to not learn anything from your divorce and be in the same situation soon, or you can learn from the experience. It’s your choice.
/r/Divorce_Men05/07/23 10:10 PM
0

It’s not the “man’s” fault. It’s YOUR fault. The only way you’ll learn and improve is if you take responsibility. If you think it’s not your fault, you’ll never learn from this experience.
/r/Divorce_Men05/07/23 10:03 PM

You have the power to go grocery shopping too. Don’t let her buy chocolate cakes. Ask her to go for a walk with you, ask her to go to the gym with you. Ask her to go on keto diet with you.

/r/Divorce_Men05/07/23 04:55 PM

/r/Divorce_Men05/07/23 04:51 PM

You just proved my point. Why didn’t you make enough money in your 20s and 30s to provide her with an exciting life when she’s 35?
/r/Divorce_Men05/07/23 04:44 PM
-11

Why didn’t you say the right things and make her know you care? She was obviously lacking that and that’s why she looked for it with someone else. Not all leveling up is for education or money, some is for how she feels when she’s with that guy. If you made her feel that way she wouldn’t have cheated.
/r/Divorce_Men05/07/23 04:43 PM
2

Women won’t come out and say it straight to your face like men do. She was probably dropping hints and signals and you missed them. I missed them as well. The point is will you learn from this experience or will it be for nothing and you’ll make the same mistake next time?

I am dating now and it’s absolutely crazy how much women share about their romantic relationship with their friends. They tell them every detail. You’re not just dating her, you’re also dating her friends and female relatives whom you’ve never met. A dumb or jealous friend can put seeds of doubt in her mind and doom the relationship. My ex was a great wife while she was stay at home wife. Once she got a job with a bunch of jaded divorced women, it was over for me

I’m curious, what were you doing for those 1.5 years? Gym, therapy, new hobbies? People say they took time to rebuild themselves but never say what they were actually doing

Yes, some do want free meals, but don’t let the fear of those stop you from dating and finding someone you really match with.

Lol, it informs you that you don’t have to wait a year to date like the pinned post says. Also it gets your mind off your ex, since I saw a lot of people posting here still thinking about their ex. In one of the comments I did say that some girls unmatch me after the date, it’s not a 100% success rate but you have to focus on the girls that do like you.

I can’t believe you don’t think someone can talk to 80 girls on dating apps. Have you tried the apps? Do you live in one of the top 10 largest cities? Are you over 6 feet?

I agree with you, those are important but the thing is I already know my value and self worth. I don’t need a year to discover it. Maybe it depends on how the marriage ended. I felt like my marriage died a while ago so I was already working on myself (hence the 30 lbs weight loss and hiking before the divorce)

I think that’s why I’m matching with a lot of women who also have masters degrees. I was watching a YouTube video of women where they were asked how much they want their husband to make compared to them and they all said “equal or more”. Most women don’t want a guy who makes less than them

Thanks for the advice. Yes I’m not ready for anything serious now, and may never be. This is why I said I don’t know what the end game is right now, just seeing who’s out there.

I don’t think you’ve fully comprehended my post because you’re making assumptions, but I really don’t care if you believe me or not.

Funny thing is they are quizzing me about my last relationship, why it didn’t work, what I think would be necessary for a good marriage lol It’s very clear to me why my marriage failed, it was domed from the start. When I got married the first time I was 25 and didn’t know anything. I know a lot more know.

I haven’t gone on dates with all 80. Will take a long time to get through all of them. It’s not that I don’t give a shit, it’s just a lot to remember and I’m terrible with names to begin with. I’m not going to go out with someone I don’t like and waste $100 on dinner and 2-3 hours of my life. And sometimes we unmatch after a week of talking without ever going on a date. Even when we went out, several didn’t like me and unmatched after the date or told me there’s no connection. Several I didn’t l…

Why not? You don’t think a guy that’s over 6 feet with a graduate degree can talk to 80 women on apps? They range in age from 35 to 50, most are early 40s. I have a female friend who looked over my profile in the beginning to give me advice and she goes “ooh graduate degree”. I go women care about that? She goes yes!

This is exactly the reason why I didn’t get divorced when my kids were young. Child support would have pushed me into my parents home while she would have another guy raising my kids.

My toxic trait is that I need to have a woman that loves and admires me. I’m a sucker for compliments. I know they can change on a dime and they won’t feel like that about me forever so I’d never get married again, but I can’t stop dating. I was dancing with a girl on Friday night and she was feeling up my biceps and pulling the back of my hair, it was so nice. This time I know any woman would take half of my wealth without blinking so I’d never be put in that position again.

You can’t change the past. What she did is her fault, not your fault. Why do you want her back if she was with someone else? She’s not the same woman she was when you gave the vows to her. Why would you sit there miserable? Do you have parents? Would they want you to sit there miserable? Imagine if your kid was in your position in 30 years, would you want him to be miserable or to go out and find someone new who’s not a cheater?

It’s your ego being bruised. You have to rise past it. Women’s hormones are crazy and determine who they’re attracted to. I read on AskReddit that when a woman gets on or off birth control she completely changes who she likes. Sometimes a guy she liked before completely turns her off. I imagine giving birth also messes up the hormones. I’ve been separated for 6 months and when I see families with small kids I go I wish I still had that, but then I think maybe they’re in a sexless and terrible ma…

>>Why does it have to be like this? Nobody cheated here. There was no abuse of any kind (physical, mental, substance). I asked myself the same thing for months. I know worst guys than me that are still married, but I have to go through the divorce BS. The other posters are correct, women think differently than we do. They just become ruthless while we men mourn the loss of family. Get on Bumble and Hinge and start dating other women and you'll feel better.

Has she said anything about getting a divorce? Is the only reason you are here that she is yelling/complaining about you not planning things? Tell her to plan things herself and problem solved. I don't see why you would want to divorce

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
