I am in the same situation as almost everyone here. Provider, dad, family man, never cheated, focused on wife and kids only to have it repayed with "I have no affection for you anymore" after 20 years of marriage.

I don't know anyone who's been divorced after 20 years of marriage. I thought I was alone. I thought it was my fault. I got no support from family and friends.

Then I stumbled on this forum and found a lot of people went through the same issues. I learned about Walk Away Wife. I read Rational Male. I read Attachment. I read No More Mr Nice Guy.

I regret sulking and feeling sad about my situation now, so what I want to tell people in the beginning of the process is that you will get through it and you will find a woman who is 100x better than the one you left.

My ex didn't want to walk by the beach with me, didn't want to hike with me, didn't want to go to restaurants with me, didn't watch any shows I like, didn't like to have sex.

The girls I'm dating now love to do all those things with me. I was sitting on a park bench with one girl, making out like we're teenagers. My ex would have never done that. I have girls who say "I want to take you home", take me home and literally push me into the bedroom. I had to beg my wife every time we were intimate.

The conclusion is that you have to mourn the loss and then get back on the horse.
