To be perfectly honest I'm not worried about these extremists gaining mass support and taking over the world. The issue is whether they might commit a serious crime or encourage others to do so, which suggests it's a matter for law enforcement (whether they can actually do anything about it at this point is a different matter).

I feel that these groups are nothing more than hate groups. Nobody takes the KKK or the Neo-Nazis seriously, why would people take these new groups seriously?

Do you have a link to examples of the conversations? What you described is terrible, and should not be associated with feminism. Those people may think they are feminists, but to value one gender over another is exactly what feminism is against.

Groups like the one you describe get me really mad too, but at least they are only a small, small group. One way to make sure they don't expand is by educating people on what feminism really is (not what these sick fucks think it is).

It seems like this behavior is typical of people who don't understand feminism. Something has caused them to think the point of feminism is for women to overpower men, but that very wrong. Feminism is a fight for the equality of both genders, and this subreddit embodies that. It is unfortunate the the word "feminist" makes it sound like it's only for women.

The best way to conquer bigots on both sides is to educate people (especially if they are wrongly calling themselves feminists). We can't be safe from those radical groups until men and women are seen completely as equals - we have a long way to go since our society enforces terrible double standards in both directions.

This isn't on the same level, but there are groups like NAMBLA that actively support, condone, and practice child molestation, stating it's a love connection between a man and a boy.

I'm deeply disturbed that groups like this exist. Freedom of speech is all well and good, but not when it's blatantly horrendous crimes being condoned and planned.

Crazier things are both harder and more risky to do. Women advocating gendercide don't have to be worried about, whereas women talking about falsely accusing of rape (or something similar) are much more of an immediate threat.

As a response to your comparison to white supremacists, in all honesty, I don't really take them seriously either.

avoiceformen.com has already outed Pam O'Shaunessy as the author of that post you referred to...at least all the evidence points to it being her. If you haven't seen posts in here about this already, they are suggesting we let Simon & Schuster publishing company know about her as they published some of her books while others suggest filing a complaint with the hosting company of that website/blog. There's a start.

I dunno. I don't want to dismiss your feelings on this, but OTOH, radfem outlets have been around for as long as the Internet has been in usage by the general public, and they have yet to effectively organize ANYTHING. I hate the ideology behind stormfront.org, but I don't follow their site and get all worked up about the things they say. YKWIM?

Ignore them.

There will always be those that advocate hate and murder of groups based on factors they cannot change. Radfem will do what they do and to argue with them and highlight their bigotry seems to only give them at least an air of legitimacy.
