I've spent a lot of time lurking here in /r/MensRights, and I thought I had read enough to internalize the mantra and dispel any of my socially developed prejudices. Unfortunately that doesn't seem to be the case.

Is it wrong for me to be worried that a younger female friend who is going through a rebellious period with alcohol could be taken advantage of? I feel that on one side that's just assuming the worst in my fellow men, but on the other it's not completely unfounded.

It's to the point that if I were at a party with her I'd be intensely suspicious of every random drunk guy who talked to her. That wouldn't be necessarily fueled by jealousy or protectionism, but rather based on what I've heard about or seen happen.

It's mostly because I don't think she has the life experiences to be able to have a level head when inebriated, but I'm not sure if I'm in the wrong to assume the worst for other men who approach her.
