It's basically the Christian/western taliban version of male chauvinism: Everything that men do is superior to everything that women do, women should just stay in their own sphere. The most pernicious form of this treats women as sexy livestock, useful only for breeding more sons; the 'benign' form of this treats women as sexy pets, to be loved and taken care of but not let out of the house without a leash. Neither form allows for women to be real human beings with their own wants and needs, which are just as valid as a man's wants and needs.

I'd tell them to look at the state of Afghanistan or any other place where women can't vote or have few to no rights and tell me how cool and great it is. Tell me about all the cool technology and cultural exports those places are producing. The men aren't making much either because they live very rigid lives with no outside-the-box thinking.

Virtually everything cool or interesting came out of Egalitarian spaces. There is a reason why most right-wing art sucks, and the little art that comes out of those circles that doesn't suck is often samey and conceptually limited.

What I'm getting at is a society that's good for women is also good for men.

It is their desperate pipedream. Even deep inside they must have known that even in society where women are being kept like property, the men are competing with each other twice as hard, the place often lacks stability too and poorer men are being treated like less than animals by rich, more powerful men.

They will still lose unless they were born as some warlord's son or something.

You go to website like Bestgore, Liveleak, DeathAddict...or some subreddit similar to the banned subreddit watchpeopledie, most of the contents are from countries where women do not have as much rights as men.

Some of the common vids: men killing men, killing men, killing men, roping, poor men died in poorly run factories, men killing men, men killing women, jumping in front of train, etc...etc...

They think they're high-functioning adults, but women are mentally young children. They think they're highly logical and rational thinkers, but women are driven by their whims and "fee-fees". They think they're fiercely independent, but women are mindless lemmings. They think they're strong and powerful leaders, but women can't even dress themselves without a male opinion. They think they always take full accountability for their actions, but women never do.

They also highly benefit from a world in which women are stripped of their human rights and treated as second-class citizens legally and socially inferior to men. They are only capable of acting in their own self-interest, and will invent and endorse whatever sexist double standards they need to get their way.

Well, they have a pretty one-sided and generalist view of women. So I don't hold their views in a terribly high regard tbh.

It sounds like trying to go back to 50s. If the only value they see in being a man is to be a provider (which sounds a little self-deprecating to me), I guess that's one of the conclusions one could draw.

It's infuriating considering how badly women were treated in the not so distant past. Taken for granted, talked down to, abused etc. God forbid your husband die, and leave you with 6 kids to feed, you wouldn't be paid like a man, but you would still have the same responsibilities. If society had been run correctly, this wouldn't have needed to be an issue.
