I’ve noticed that lots of common insults to men are meant to be emasculating or make an attack on a mans masculinity to use it as a way of humiliating them.

I also see people like clara delevingne saying “peg the patriarchy” because that’s supposed to be emasculating to men and humiliating to be put in that position. It’s the same thing as saying gay sex is supposed to be humiliating which is homophobic but because it’s a woman doing it, it’s worse. it is also the reason why prison r*pe jokes are “funny” to some people because it puts men into a vulnerable “less masculine” position. I’m not into that stuff but why use it as an insult to the patriarchy when those people who say it are almost always encouraging of men to enjoy that stuff and supportive of gay men but then act like it’s embarrassing and makes you less of a man. It seems hypocritical.

I hate that someone’s masculinity can be made to be a joke and that people think emasculating men is funny or empowering.
