The past year was essentially supposed to be a year of at least where I got mentally well and healthy so I could do more things for myself. But my mental and physical health has taken a down turn overall and for most of the year, I've basically been stuck in bed, unable to do much of anything. I can feel that very soon shit will start to hit the fan so I guess I better embrace myself for that.

They did pressure me to come to Thanksgiving. Well mainly my mom and I told her I didn't feel like going. But at one point, she said she would go by herself. If she did that, I would feel guilty and anxious and stressed with her going and me staying behind. But I know that if I did go in the shape I'm in, I would be anxious and stressed anyway. And possibly humiliated. Everybody else in my family has something going on for themselves and compared to them, I have nothing. But once I told my mom I…

Numerous health issues, pressure from my family, going through all this by myself. Just trying to figure out how to navigate all that

I'm dreading the holidays. I'm not doing much of anything on Thanksgiving. Too busy trying to survive and figure things out.
/r/MenSupportMen28/11/24 02:18 AM

Yeah I'm not doing too good at all. I'm dealing with a number of problems and I'm afraid to talk to anyone about it. I'm just doing my best to push through the next week. So if all I can really do is just eat, sleep and rest, that's what I'm gonna do.
/r/MenSupportMen25/06/24 10:00 PM

I'm pretty much stuck in isolation. I don't really trust anybody but it can be hard to trust myself too and my own decision making. I've resorted to detaching more from things to help myself cope

I've heard that quite a few times, including my own family, especially my mother. It is one of the most diminshing phrases I've heard. It's just a dismissal of a man's problems. Telling him to toughen up, get right and "fix" whatever problem there is. Like we're not human with feelings and problems of our own. And I have a feeling if I tell someone about this, they'll say "oh stop being a pussy" or something like that. And when you get this shit from everyone, even the people closest to you, it …

Because of how bad my situation is and I’ve tried calling different psychiatrists all over where I live. They either don’t take my insurance or they aren’t accepting new patients.
/r/MenSupportMen22/05/24 04:09 PM

Actually I just remembered the neurotherapy appointment is in two days. But either way I’ll give out an update soon
/r/MenSupportMen20/05/24 02:35 PM

I’m going to a neurotherapy place next week that offers ketamine and TMS. I’m trying out a whole bunch of different stuff. But I’m not sure if ketamine will work and it may be risky for multiple reasons. Especially since I already went through an infusion for Tepezza (I have thyroid eye disease). That gave me this lump on the back of my neck and I needed to go through surgery to have it removed
/r/MenSupportMen20/05/24 02:27 PM

That's what my psych recommended me. I thought this would work better than another SSRI. Because I've been on several of those and I've never really tolerated them well.
/r/MenSupportMen20/05/24 02:10 PM

The Skullcap didn't work for me. Even though I only tried it out for 3 days, there's a possibility this supplement can cause damage to your liver and I felt something a bit wrong with my stomach while I was on it so I got off of it. I'm not entirely sure if it was Skullcap or not but I didn't want to take any chances. I'm trying out a pill form of oxytocin now. It's like my second day and I take like a half pill every morning. It may be too soon to tell but at the very least, this pill can give …

Oh wow. Well maybe it's for the best. A lot of psychs out there, just clock in and clock out. Throw a med at you. "See you in 3 months". This new guy so far isn't like that, despite the cost. If you want to talk more, you can PM me . Door's open to that but if you don't, I get it. When your mind gets into a really bad state, you literally can't connect to anyone. But still, offer's open at any time
/r/MenSupportMen09/05/24 09:47 PM

Same here. With the ruminating about my past and stuff. I'm currently not on meds at the moment. I've been trying supplements more lately that my new psych recommends. You ever heard of American Skullcap before? Cause I literally never heard of it before today
/r/MenSupportMen09/05/24 09:35 PM

It's been a struggle. I have to change so much. Do so much on my own. And usually I keep everything in until I literally can't take it anymore. But it's like I have to always keep my guard up for my own protection. Because when I open up, it usually either doesn't do me a whole lot of benefit or causes more pressure and hurt. So lately I have been keeping more to myself. I don't want to be met with more hostility or anything. I take things more at my own pace (if I can) but I'm dealing with a lo…

It's chaotic for me. Spent the past few months trying out antidepressants. None of them have worked out too well. I mean, they all had benefits but the risks that carried with them.... My psych is unsure how he can help really and my therapist told me he has a bias towards my psych (like he'll defend him no matter what) so....at this point, I'm trying to find new doctors. But options are slim. I did find someone who I can see in a week but it costs $300+ to see him (even though there could be a …

Okay well I’ll try to tell you what I think. Keep in mind that I’m practically a mess myself and I also kinda don’t know what I’m doing so you can take or leave what I’m about to say here. First off, about dating, while I have not been in the dating scene (and I’m gay), even if you were healthy, I wouldn’t try out dating. It’s a rigged game imo and I’ve seen plenty of desirable men who get dumped by women for no reason or for petty reasons. I’ve seen many posts like that on male subreddits. Even…

I reconnected with an old friend yesterday. And we really talked. For hours straight. And I enjoyed the conversation! He even got me to notice some things about myself that I never considered until now. My situation is still unstable and I'm still unstable but before we reconnected, I really had no hope for myself or my future. Now maybe I have at least a little and a little more strength to hold on hopefully.
/r/MenSupportMen29/01/24 01:25 PM

I thought I would never come back to Reddit after those last posts. But there's not a lot of options for me. I have cried for help or spoke my mind online in the past, didn't turn out well. So..... Anyway, my health (physical and mental) is in the shit and if I end up in a regular hospital or a mental hospital soon, I won't be too surprised. There's no breathing room in here and it's hard to reach out for any help, yet alone to find good help. And I have tried out a lot of things, even antidepre…

I don't entirely blame you for your decision. You know, in fact, I have thought many times of isolating myself in a cabin in the woods kinda. The only reason I don't is because I know I can't handle the isolation, it's expensive and I have health problems like diabetes which would require ongoing medical care such and me being around doctors/people to help with that. And yes, being vulnerable is a risk. Going through life is a risk in a itself but it's a game that at least most of us are forced …

I think I can relate to your situation a bit. I lived and still live in a toxic family system. My mom was the supposed "good parent" and my dad was the bad one. Turns out neither of them were that good and they both had a host of emotional problems. The only difference is that a favored one over the other (my mom). My dad died almost two years ago now and only realized maybe a year or so ago, that my dad wasn't the only problem. My mom is pretty much a narcissist and she'll never change her ways…

That's one of the things that I keep telling myself too. I don't wanna endlessly work until I die. Just work and work and work, only to be handed and rewarded with even more work. Yes, it does take hard work to get the things you want but it doesn't guarantee success. You just gotta hope that your efforts and time and money and energy pay off in the end and that something doesn't come out of nowhere and screw you over. It's kinda like hustling and gambling in some form. Rolling the dice, hoping …

It's hard to know where to start. There's a lot of changes that are gonna have to be made and I'm doing my best to break everything down. I'm still dependent on my family for a lot of things, including buying and bringing me food, and I realized a bit today how much that can make me miserable. I asked my aunt to get some food from a restaurant today that isn't available here anymore. And she said yes. That meant I did have to greet her and my mom. She said "Give me a hug boy". I know she doesn't…
/r/MenSupportMen08/01/24 01:06 AM

Just had therapy today. A virtual appointment from home. I try to take things slow around here still. I go down to the garage and sit inside my mom's car with the door shut so she won't overhear me. I caught him up on what has been going on for the past month but it seems like all the therapist does is say "Yeah I hear that" and "Well there you go". He can be a good listening ear, sometimes, but he doesn't offer too much advice on what I should do or coping skills. Also at the end of every appoi…

I've been back home for a couple of days. Back from the hotel. It was a bit pricey but I could afford to pay for it and my mom and my aunt actually gave me some extra money to help out too (Christmas money). I realized while I was there, I was able to think more clearly and articulate my thoughts better. In my bedroom, I'm always sneezing or something. One of my old friends said that this house is making me physically and mentally ill. And I think that's right. All of this made me think about ha…

Well, I'm at the hotel right now. Trying to get settled in. It is kinda expensive but I did get a lot for my birthday in terms of money so I think that'll be enough to pay for what I want. I might actually get some peace here for two days before I inevitably have to go back home
/r/MenSupportMen18/12/23 08:24 PM

It's Hell. I have a hard time going outside and even interacting with people. I keep to myself more and more but I know in order to do certain things, I have to be out of the house and interact with people. I think I may have to get used to being an outsider.

I don't watch movies anymore these days, not in theaters. Because they can be filled with feminist propaganda. An example similar to yours is The Whale with Brendan Fraser. I did like most of these performances in the movie. The one character I didn't like was Sadie Sink's character. She was a complete asshole throughout the entire movie. One moment that really made me lose sympathy for her is when she is threatening a false rape accusation against some guy in the movie in order for him to do wh…

It really is hard to speak to anyone. To even voice out my thoughts with others because I know that no matter what there will be some type of judgment, criticism, etc. Unfortunately, remaining isolated doesn't help either. I am taking a look at all my options and they aren't much. I can tell I'm in for some rough times ahead. I'm already facing that right now. Staying where I'm at is literally making me physically and mentally ill but trying to get out of here to do anything, even doing the simp…

How can I clarify things?
/r/MenSupportMen02/11/23 01:34 AM

My health is still in bad shape. And for the past weekend, it has been pure hell. I have no one to really talk to which makes things even scarier. I did suffer from some chest pain and high blood pressure over the weekend. It actually has been this way for awhile but I got like an EKG done twice and a chest x-ray. They found nothing wrong. So I don't know. I just felt at the time that I didn't want to go back to the ER for nothing, have my surgery get canceled for that, deal with my mom and prob…
/r/MenSupportMen30/10/23 08:56 PM

I have at least talked to my nurse about how my mom has MS and has mobility problems and that being the reason that I need aftercare from a home health service. And she said she would look into something like that but I called back at their office later. No such order was placed. They told me to call my insurance about it. I got the information I needed from my insurance so the nurse over at the urologist office can place an order for aftercare services through my insurance. I tried calling them…
/r/MenSupportMen26/10/23 08:17 AM

I really am struggling in here alone. I know my family and my mom aren't going to help me much. If anything, they just keep adding more to the pile. One of my old friends told me that it's not really safe to do surgery in this house since the only thing my family (especially my mom) does is exacerbate the problem. And I think she's right since during a similar surgery I had two years ago, my mom wanted me to go back to doing chores days after surgery. After the neck surgery this year and while I…

I've tried a lot of antidepressants too. At least a few. Most of them were terrible. Zoloft, Bupropion, Lexapro, Effexor, Paxil, Gabapentin. I didn't really have a positive experience on any of these. I would've tried to go without antidepressants because of side effects and withdrawals but due to my living situation, I think that pretty soon, it could come down to me taking mirtazapine or doxepin or prozac or me being placed in a hospital (again) and being placed on stronger drugs that have wor…
/r/MenSupportMen14/10/23 09:54 AM

That is concerning but I think I've heard from a lot of antidepressants and stuff that you can have withdrawals and stuff from it and at least at first, it's hard to function without it. Not saying you're wrong by any means because I'm wary of these meds too but usually, I only get 3-4 hours of sleep a night and now I just got 6 at least on half a pill (15 mg). I just felt that at this point in my life, I would have to go on an antidepressant sooner or later because I took stuff like Ambien and …
/r/MenSupportMen14/10/23 09:39 AM

I'm gonna put this out there anyway because I just need to get this shit off my back. (In advance, I'm sorry for the long comment here) I have a psychiatrist appointment tomorrow with someone who I particularly don't trust and I have a feeling she won't help me much because I've been with her once before (she's an NP) and with the actual psych about medication. I was hesitant to take meds like Doxepin or Prozac due to my past experiences with antidepressants and especially SSRIs not being good a…
/r/MenSupportMen11/10/23 07:58 PM

I'm going through the same. And sometimes, I wonder how I can keep going or cope with life in general or deal with or fix anything. What works for me, despite what I'm dealing with, is trying to control what I can, take things slow and at my own pace. Maybe you've heard of this stuff before. It might help though. Again, it can be hard to fathom how we can make it through this type of world but sometimes, all we can do is try and do the best we can. Because sometimes, we don't have a choice or we…

Update: I'm back home now. Bloodwork was taken. AN EKG and chest ray was ran. Nothing wrong. Everything came out normal. The only thing I was recommended to do was to take Tylenol (or acetaminophen) for pain. The chest pains still come and go so I could still go to the hospital and lose the surgery, not to mention more health complications......
/r/MenSupportMen26/09/23 04:08 PM

There's a chance that I might go to the hospital today. I've had chest pains for the past couple of days so..I guess I should get it looked at so I won't be at risk of getting a heart attack or something. But I know as soon as I mention that and my high blood pressure, I'll go to the hospital and I'll lose the surgery option because they'll say it'll be too risky to do it on me. So, in a matter of a week, I got the opportunity for surgery and I think I'll lose it today. So I expect to be depress…

I know there are other options (like Home Instead for instance) but it can be costly. So either way, I should ask my mom and my family first to help. It'll be more money in my pocket and it's not like I can hide this from them anyway.
/r/MenSupportMen18/09/23 07:17 PM

There was something that shocked me when I went to see my urologist a few days ago. At first, over the portal, he told me there was nothing else he could really offer me or advise me to do except to lose weight. So, I wasn't expecting anything when I went to go see him. But surprisingly, he took a look at me and he's actually offering me some options, including surgery which is I think what I need right now. I think it's kinda what I have been fighting to get or wanting to get. I never knew I wo…

"Women are born with value that deteriorates over time. Men are born valueless and must build all of their value over time becoming more valuable." I have to disagree. It doesn't matter if a woman is in her 20s or in her 60s. That female privilege is always there. What pisses me off about this whole thing is that men only have value for how much they contribute towards women and society as a whole. If they don't do that or are unable to, they are treated as garbage and deemed as worthless. What …

I'm beyond exhausted. And I think maybe it's the natural result of walking on eggshells around my family for years and living in a toxic environment with my health slowly getting worse. There's so much going on inside of me and out that several days I'm this close to quitting life period. I keep trying because I don't want to waste some of the resources I have but it's like I have to make one sacrifice, one hard choice after another. I have appointments and phone calls to make pretty much every day this week. A whole lot of chores to do. More hard decisions to make. Trying to follow a tight schedule while dealing with shit left and right. And I have to deal with most, if not all this by myself. And I know it's only gonna get harder from here on out.
/r/MenSupportMen04/09/23 12:46 AM

I've been really struggling, especially over the weekend. I thought things would get so bad that I would end up either in the hospital or a mental hospital or dead (which many times I do prefer over this insanity). There are times where I think I'm losing my mind and my mom is definitely not helping. She has just kept pushing me and has become more passive aggressive over things (my own therapist told me she's emotionally and verbally abusive). I can definitely tell she's narcissistic. So, it's …

The psychiatrist said that Prozac shouldn't have any withdrawals even though other accounts from people I've read online that took the medicine said they experienced that. The doctor thinks that just because it's a "baby dose" of it then it shouldn't be harmful but I've had bad reactions to SSRIs and really bad intrusive thoughts after only taking one pill. But the psychiatrist and especially the NP just told me to endure through the side effects which is a risk I don't think I can afford to tak…

For the most part, antidepressants, especially SSRIs didn't help. That's why I'm wary of them. But I am going to therapy (well, technically to a social worker who is helping me with some things including finding some good resources around me like doctors and stuff). I'm also doing my best to manage my blood sugar as well because I know when it gets too low, my anxiety tends to increase I think. But trying to stay on a routine helps me to better keep track of that also.

My psych also recommended Abilify (one of my old friends recommended it too). It's an antipsychotic. But right now, I don't think it's safe to take those types of medications, especially SSRIs. The psychiatrist said that for people my age, it increases levels of depression and you can develop suicidal thoughts. And even if the meds work, there can be a lot of side effects and even if you get past that, you may not be able to get off of it without having withdrawals. It's not worth it right now, …
/r/MenSupportMen22/08/23 01:18 AM

As for an update to my situation: I have decided to not take Prozac. At least not yet. I'm wary about trying it due to my past reactions to SSRIs. Plus, taking the meds in this suffocating environment just isn't a good idea. So I'm at least waiting a week or two, if I try them at all. I do have a daily schedule that helps me keep things on track and even when I get really depressed and hopeless sometimes, I still stick to my schedule and my mood eventually picks back up sooner or later. The rout…

Yeah that's also why I don't prefer to be around those meds. Even if they do work, you can become dependent on them and you won't be able to get off without withdrawals. My psych also recommended Abilify and said it may be better with people with autism (I am on the spectrum btw) but he wants me to try out Prozac first. I'm not sure I can do that.

If it didn't do too much for you, I wouldn't suggest just getting back on it. Just find another type of drug if possible if that doesn't work. (I won't give anymore advice since I do not tolerate those types of drugs well). Anyway, my therapist/social worker thinks I have "situational" depression (could be the case for anxiety too so I think you're right. I think that, along with trying to manage my blood sugar (along with some other new meds I'm trying like blood pressure medicine and medicine …

I know. I'm just concerned about those types of meds because of my reactions to them in the past. Like Zoloft for example, gave me thoughts of cutting my stomach and such and I think one of them gave me nightmares. One of my old friends told me to stay from SSRIs since I don't react to them well (Prozac is another SSRI) but the psych said that this is one of the "best known medicines on planet Earth" and thinks it has been really helpful for most. So, I don't know who to believe so it's a 50/50 …

I am actually going out of my way to type now. And I shouldn't because at this point, I believe I'm a lost cause. And my situation is only getting worse by the day. I mean I thought things were bad before but things have gotten even worse over the past 2-3 months. My urological problems (which have been ongoing for 4 years) have gotten worse and now I think a new problem is developing (urology related) where it requires surgery. But here's the thing. This is kinda where I am. And I can see many men face the same problem since it can be REALLY hard to have a relationship or be friends with anyone. I teeter back and forth from being stuck in a crappy friendship (with my feminist friend) or just accepting that maybe I might be better off alone the rest of my life. I've tried time and time to connect to others and no matter what I did, it just never worked out for me. Eventually, putting yourself out there just becomes exhausting and a chores an…

I used to play the piano but that was all the way back when I was a kid. I don't play it anymore. Haven't in so long. And.....I'm not sure how I can join a band. I'm not sure how to interact with other people in real life anymore. I do listen to a lot of songs though. I go to songmeanings.com and search for music that is relatable (the most relatable I guess) to my life and circumstances. The only things I really do that I can get into are music and writing and that triggers me too. And I have to say with everything I learned about misandry and how commonplace it is and how so many people don't seem to care, I've kinda turned into a misanthrope at this point

No other friends IRL or online. She's pretty much it. The only reason I even brought her back because my life is that chaotic and I guess I thought that she was one of the only ones I can talk about most things to (not about men's rights stuff of course), things I pretty much can't discuss with most people. However, because of everything she's got going on (I won't go too much into specifics), she at best may only respond by email or a phone call every couple of days or so. What further irritate…

Plus, she can unresponsive for several days at least. Everything you guys said is why I'm kinda wary around people in general and especially our human psychology which makes the average person on the street a misandrist. Like many people have said on here, I am really scared of speaking out on issues like this because I could easily get laughed at, shutdown or attacked. We really live in a gendered dysphoria I think and this doesn't make me hate women. More like.....distrust women and men (because both men and women have this type of thinking). I j…

Things are continuing to escalate where I live I guess. So much that I contacted my ex-friend for help (who is feminist btw). The reason we split up to begin with is because most of the time she was unavailable for me anyway. She won't answer for days or a week at a time and when she does, sometimes she has nothing good to offer or just makes me more frustrated and overwhelmed. Either way, I'm stuck here isolated and alone and now I feel even more bad about myself for caving in.

I think I can relate what you're going through internally. For me, I've been raised off of TV (bad narcissistic parenting at work) and for a long time, and still now, I don't know much of anything else. So I have a lot of misandry internalized in me as well. There is a different word for this called "re-parenting" but I think "self-talk" is a more appropriate fit for what I should work on. And yes, I do talk negatively about myself a lot. Yes, exactly! So you kinda don't know who to go to for support or if you can even do anything about the situation or even how to cope with it. You just have to deal with it alone. Most women are feminists to some degree and the regular misandry I see on TV has made me distance myself more from that. It is hard to connect to others period because most people are flat out untrustworthy to some level. Even though I know all of us need some kind of human contact, it can be hard to connect with someone. Harder to keep them around if you're suffering from mental illness, disability, addiction, etc. Most people would rather be around someone who is more "normal" and stable. I do suffer from issues with self esteem and negative self talk daily. You can hear yourself saying "I'm a lost cause" all th…

I'm disabled......I can't join the military or really be a hobo because I desperately need the medical care. I'm not sure you know how dangerous being homeless can be, especially if you're a guy. Men are more exposed to violence and victims to homicide. Am I living an abusive toxic situation? Yeah I admit that but if I run out into the streets now, well, that'll destroy the plans I currently have in place medically. I know once I do have the money and resources (which shouldn't be too long) I ca…

I'm not a father or husband but I don't have the money or resources or transportation to go anywhere. In fact, this is what I'm trying to fight for so I can have the ability to walk away from all this. From my mom and even my friend. I mean where can I run to? A homeless shelter? That's all the advice I've gotten before when I tried asking for help. From actual professionals. Either that or coping skills to deal with my parents, which obviously didn't really change things much.

Going to another new urologist tomorrow. This will be my 4th one. Since I've been suffering for 3 years at this point and since I've seen so many doctors, I wonder if he'll even want to help me. I guess the only way to know is to find out

The thing is that there's a chance that I might lose my coverage soon and that'll prevent me from seeing doctors or therapists until I get on a new plan.

Leaving your situation will probably help get a new perspective on things. Not enough money, no transportation and no resources (if I lose coverage). And I think most trauma therapists aren't covered by insurance. I did some research on it myself. And unfortunately the choices for therapists I can see under my insurance is limited and there's a chance I might lose coverage soon. Meditation centers, I don't think those are covered by insurance either

I don't see a lot of men being hostile towards women just because of their gender. Usually it's the opposite. A lot of women either are indifferent towards men or flat out hate men. I mean you see things like #KillAllMen on Twitter and that shit isn't banned. I swear if you see that hashtag turned around on women, it would be a different story. And even though men are in the most positions of power, they are the ones who face the risks and consequences and the women (even the ones in higher posi…

I don't think you're the only one who thinks this way. At least I do. When it comes down to government, education, health care, media and the legal system, it does favor women over men. Oh and did you know of a story of this woman who dressed up as a man to see if she would be treated differently. And as a man, women cared for her less and she wasn't really able to get dates or anything. Because the truth is that in society, it is harder for men because men prefer women and women prefer other wo…

I think I made a hard call when it came down to ending certain friendships but overall I think it was for the best because they either made me uncomfortable or we had a falling out. And I'm trying to put more of that energy to seeing if I can improve my situation, which I will admit, is a mess. But I think I now have less on my shoulders, a little bit less so that's something.

I did go on the website and what my friend was referring to is that yes therapists help work through life events and stress but many of them have absolutely no training when it comes down to trauma. The ones that do aren't covered by insurance and you have to pay out of pocket for that. I've emailed a few of them and I mostly got redirected back to offices I've already been to where the therapists suck or aren't very helpful. But those are my options when it comes down to insurance. It's not abo…

I'll give out my opinion. I know my parents will always be my parents but it doesn't change the fact that they are flawed and nowadays I can't stand to be around my mom, even though I would miss her if she died, and I could not stand my dad when he was alive (either he scared me or made me angry, I guess the same can apply to my mom now too, that was even before he died). I struggle with this too. And unfortunately it's not just women, men do this too. There can be quite a few men who go around thinking other men are disgusting and pathetic but the guy who is saying it thinks he's not like those other guys and he's "special". It comes from both nature and nuture I think. Women have an in-group bias and prefer other women. Men have an outgroup bias and prefer women. Hey I know our situations aren't the same but I do understand it. It's really devastating and mind boggling when your family treats you like shit. Not to mention, them actively hurting you and any chance you have to heal or remotely get better. Even though we are different, I may be in a similar position and I do understand your plight. You deserve to be treated with respect even if you can't work, go to college, drive, find a partner, etc. I really do feel for you.

First off, as for your question about being over dramatic about your problems. The answer to that is: No, absolutely not. You and your brothers deserve to be treated with more respect than this and (I hope you don't take offense to this) but your mom sounds absolutely horrible and misandric (hating males, boys and men, just because they were born male). In fact, your mom sounds even more disgusting for treating her own sons like this (calling you and your brothers smelly and lazy, holy shit...).…

I think it's hard to talk about men's rights to the general public. Mainly due to others thinking its just a silly concept or that "men have far more rights than women do". Something along those lines. At least from what I've seen. The Depp/Amber case does bring a highlight to domestic violence happening to men, which is a big step. As for TV shows, the problem is that many TV shows and movies have a hint of misandry in it. That goes the same for music and other forms of media (I won't even coun…

Sadly loneliness is a very common thing for men but I don't think it just generally cuts up a decade off your life. For some it can go on most of if not their whole lives. Because simply there are some things about loneliness in general that you might never get used to. At least for me.

I did confront her about how I felt with her telling me to man up and stuff and deal with everything on my own. Her responses came down to: "That happened years ago or forever ago." (Even though some of the things she did happened months ago. She is complaining that I'm distancing myself from her too but doesn't understand and refuses to understand the reason why. She was just more concerned over me not talking to her enough.

Society does have gender roles for both men and women (women supposed to have the loving, nurture role in society). The difference is that society is helping women to break out of their gender roles while forcing men to stay in theirs.

There's a problem with that. Even in the early seasons it was there. Just not as ramped up as the last few seasons were. Season 5 for example, Debbie raped Matty (I think he was over 18 at least and Debbie was still a teenager, in his words "you statutory raped yourself"). Then when her and Lip talk about it, Lip goes (well I'm paraphrasing here but he basically said) "I would love to get raped by a girl". That's pretty much what he said.

It’s hard to explain. The best way I can say it is that I’ve been stuck this way for so long that I know possibly any chance of recovery is probably next to zero at this point. On top of feeling bad about myself and blaming mainly me for all of this happening. This happens all the time

“I just wanted to underline that we should guard ourselves from unfair generalizations.” True. We should do that. Unfortunately in society, it’s more common for people (mainly women) to make generalizations about men. Saying all men are creeps, losers, incels (hate that word). If generalizations were made about women, especially from a guy, a woman or man would be up in arms. But it’s sad that generalizations about men are accepted. That needs to change
/r/MenSupportMen22/02/22 02:23 PM

“Women are just like men. There are good ones and bad ones. We should treat them as individuals.” Women aren’t exactly like men. It’s very clear that they are gender and body differences. There are good and bad people from both genders but I think many women think they are above men just because of their gender. And research has shown that women have some bias towards other women. They can see themselves as collectivists.

I actually do agree with a lot what you said and I’m glad you shared. At least I’m not alone with the way I think about women. Before I thought I could easily become a misogynist just for thinking about women the wrong way. And I could even imagine a few years ago this nightmare of women beating me out of nowhere in the middle of the street (women do beat men in the streets of India and it’s fully allowed there and in some other countries). Also women do have more support, resources and medical …

Unfortunately it’s not. Especially when female privilege gets involved. People in general listen to a woman over a man. Period. I wish this wasn’t true but it isn’t. It’s still a hard thing to believe but they are many cases out there about how badly men can be treated

Yeah I think that happens to me sometimes. Sometimes it’s simply because I don’t feel like it. Or other times I don’t wanna deal with other’s responses to what I say (especially if it’s negative). But I think the main problem (that mainly relates to men) is that usually we get laughed at or targeted the minute we open up. That’s why many men out there (even me sometimes) think it’s safer not to open up. Out of the fear of being ridiculed over what you say or think or feel. Or even being targeted…

It is bigger on one side than the other. Urologist A pointed it out but won’t do anything. Also my GP isn’t helpful either. I can try to reach out but last time I saw him, he just referred me back to Urologist A. He doesn’t know how to handle the issue either.

I’m afraid of looking for Urologist C because there’s only two major hospitals with urology services where I live. There are smaller places but I’m afraid they’ll be like Urologist B and they’ll dismiss me just like he did. It’s not just the narrowed meatus but also there’s more skin on one side of the tip of the penis than the other which affects me when I masturbate.
