Today I was having a brunch by myself in a little pretty place in Angel, London. I do sometimes have brunches by myself, I am quite introvert and sometimes I prefer being alone when I want to eat outside. While I was waiting for the food, a beautiful girl walked right past me and was seated in a free table behind me. She was alone, like me, and I cross her look when she walked past me again going to the restroom. Now, I thought of a way of approaching her in a nice and respectful way, but all I was thinking is that no matter what, I would have come across as a creep and she probably didn’t want to be bothered if she decided to come eating by herself. The fact that she was very attractive to my eyes and probably out my league didn’t help too..all of this made me think that in these kind of situations my pride and fear of being labelled as a creep overpowers the willingness of getting to know someone I might develop a romantic feeling for. Has cold approach been stigmatised by society?
