Your argument is completely valid.

However, your neglecting to acknowledge the common point of contention.

Men are told we need to love all shapes of women. Look at the feel good bullshit promoted by Dove, and "models" like tess holiday.

It is fully within your rights to turn men down because they're not pushing six feet, but you can't turn around and complain when those same men turn women down for having the wrong cup or dress size.

Honestly the biggest issue right now seems to be the apps.

From what I can see, height has become a filter in a way it never had been in the past. Women need to cut down the 1000s of matches she gets... Might as well filter on 6ft+

Being 5ft 7 is less of an issue when someone gets to know you as a whole.

The reason why height has become this big deal is mostly because it's easily measurable. Measurable things are filterable.

Looks + personality are harder to measure.

99% of men know that. Guys around here just hate the blatant hipocrisy of some women (FDS types basically) that actively defend being shallow with men but get enraged when men do the same (especially with the body changes caused by age).

It doesn’t help that mainstream media pushes body positivity only for women, tho.

The same can be said about race/skin colour for instance.

Sexual attraction is mostly primal. You see someone and their physical characteristics make you feel like you want to fuck them right then. Male or female, doesn't make a difference. You may find white people more attractive, or black or brown or whatever else. No one can be forced or guilted into liking anything or anyone if they don't. We like what we like and that's fine.

It's not about attraction. Everybody is free to reject anybody by whatever reasons. Nobody asks individual women to change their preferences.

It's about acknowledging that there is a huge disadvantage that's nothing of my fault. Not dowplaying it, not gaslighting me with anecdotes, not telling me to shut up and settle for 1/10's, and of course not being rude and not thinking I should go extinct. That's it.

5 foot 8.5in actually. 5'10 is 63rd percentile ish. The stdv is about 2.5 inches.

You're right.

However another problem is that women have these demands just because. 80% of women that "like" really tall men only claim to want a taller than normal man because other women demand it. It's mostly following behavior.
