They didn’t have to do this research they could have just asked.

I, like most English speakers use “men/women” when referring to adults, “boys/girls” when referring to children and “males/females” when referring to a gender regardless of age. In context of talking about dating, people in their 20s tend to use “boys/girls” even though they’re talking about adults. I don’t know why, that might be an interesting question to study, but it has nothing to do with us

For people like this(like the one who wrote this paper) any criticism must be proof of sexism. The paper is not meant to illuminate but to apparently confirm the biases already imprinted in their minds. Is a prime of example of bad research.

As far as I can tell, nearly all of these kinds of studies never address the issues. They always look at 'men's rights' as a political group, and never look at men's rights the philosophically, morally, or legally.

It's never 'what are men's rights?' and always 'what are the people who call themselves MRAs like?'

According to Ging (2017), the ‘manosphere’ has five distinct groups: men’s rights activists (who believe that men are systemically disadvantaged in society), men-going-their-own-way (who abstain from relationships with women, hereafter referred to as MGTOW), pick-up artists (who seek to have sex with as many women as possible), traditional Christian conservatives and gamers/geeks. Ging (2017) separately considers involuntary celibates (incels), who are unable to find a romantic/sexual partner despite desiring one. Jane (2018) observed that these groups are united by a tendency to threaten women by referencing their perceived physical unattractiveness, sexual history, lack of intelligence, mental illness and misinformed political opinions.

So, despite the opening, it's about TRP. And anyone can find it easily despite the ridiculous claim that they maintained it's anonymity. Is this the level of knowledge of the single author? And I don't see any sign that it's been peer reviewed, not that this would make any difference.
