Since Toxic Masculinity does not exist and women get all hot and bothered for actual, masculine men........ Yeah, they are their own worst enemy. The only thing I feel sorry for is the men that end up marrying these alpha women. (Meaning, non feminine.)

They showed their lack of intelligence with the "marketed to" statement. People find jobs. When it's a matter of eating and surviving, people look for jobs. How exactly should a small crabber market their crabbing jobs? TikTok song? What about construction? How do you go about finding someone who has never seen a construction site or know that there are jobs for building things?

There are both toxic masculine and toxic feminine behaviors. 'the patriarchy' meaning the narrow set of behaviors that define what makes a 'proper' man or woman is damaging to both sides of the equation. Until we as a whole acknowledge that both men and women can be abused and/or abuser then this false dichotomy will continue to persist. Men and women can be different without one needing to be labeled bad. We are all people deserving of love, support, and freedom to be who we are. Granted there are stereotypes that should be brought to light and addressed, and the entire situation would be aided by both sides of the argument actively listening with a goal of learning and understanding rather than accusations and placing blame. Women needn't depend on their man for income and stability anymore, and men should be able to depend on their women to be a good partner who cares about their emotions and mental health. There are people who care. Men are not disposable or replaceable. Please, if you're in a bad place seek help.

I could understand toxic masculinity as sort of taking masculine traits to the extreme, but half of those traits aren't masculine, and I never hear anyone talking about taking other masculine traits to toxic levels. Like courage. What happens when you take courage to a level where it starts to disrupt you, those around you and your environment?

Glorification and participation in violence, sexism and chauvism aren't masculine or feminine. Violence is hard to argue as a toxically masculine trait and crutches on a distorted combination between strength and competitiveness while not being either of them.
