I almost read the question wrong but society has condition men to be women defenders. Me Personally, no I'm not defending no woman because if I die defending her, she is gonna forget a week later.

That's a unique question. My upbringing was of the old way. Men protect women. But that old way had social contracts for women as well.

In today's modern feminist environment its changed for many and many more younger men are changing their social contract views as well.

I will protect the women in my family (mother, wife, daughter), and when others are in my direct family orbit, daughters friends when out with me, cousins, aunts, uncles, and my own good friends (which are few).

Very few women are worth going to jail for. This includes mothers, wives & girl friends who instigate fights so you can "protect" them. Instigate a fight and fight it yo' damn self.

I think that as men we are pressured to think we need to do this. In 2022 though, its not happening from me. Oh, he stole your purse? Thats rough. Call the cops or something.

We literally live in a world where women accuse men of sexual assault for doing CPR on them. So there is no way i'm stepping in to protect them. They'll try to label me a misogynist or something.

Absolutely not. My own loved ones, yes. Anything beyond that IMHO is just silly white knights promulgating the old lie of protecting the weak in the hope of getting laid or filling a psychological hole of worthlessness possibly dug in their souls by a chaotic feminine figure of authority in early life.

In earlier times it used to be expanded to include looking out for "the little guy". That that part of it has fallen out of fashion unveils what that sentiment is really about today - matriarchy. Reject it in all its forms. Volunteerism can fill those potholes of validation nicely.

Besides in the world we live in today, I'd probably be arrested/have to pay fines/jail time/somehow implicated/etc etc etc....The woman would probably be nowhere to be found. It'll become entirely my problem.

Yes, a little. Rationally I know women aren’t any more deserving of protection than men, but the social conditioning is very strong and I admit I’m influenced by it at least a little despite trying to be gender equal.

I do. As having been abused by my mom it my first and foremost duty to distract her from assaulting my sister. Ultimately me sister made it But I having married into very rich and very powerful family of 5 powerful figures. 2 IVy league med school chairs and then a Very Wealthy Businessman Uncle would passively gain prestige and pay influence and my wife of 14 yrs succeeded in her profession and I having excelled far younger not knowing the isolation that would come when I left my position and moved to the south to support her final position preparing her for her current one.

Anyways I felt lost alone at night for 9 months at time for periods found others as that was my identity and ultimately it’s those connections the most rewarding to me.

4 yrs ago I ended up protecting the right girl my 4 month olds mother and when her dad died and a windfall of dynastic wealth in the form of trusts lawyers exploited then very vogue movement of the time that I support. But I was left alone and stripped of contact with the people I helped over the years and then of course did what most therapist suggested and moved to the place I despise most Boston after 20 yrs. Being visually white I a victim of abuse looked not confident we viewing the violence of the city and predators picked me apart. I never knew criminals so I fell victim to the fake attention given my family and friend became arrogant and I mistakingly associated with them deprived of access to the resources of the wealthy and the social welfare system.

Now I will literally die here in a hotel rooms and I have continued to stand up for women that were being abused by employers men and women not kept enough resources saved.

But it was worth it and my child will someday when public opinion is more meteredwill have the support of both men and women aggressions.

It’s just so hard for me right now knowing that I will be dead of starvation because they way this city and it’s ethnic ares separate affordable housing and I feel out of place everywhere. Hey

Depends on the situation. If I went out in my car after a hunting trip and had my guns in the car, and saw a woman getting attacked, I might help if I can’t see a gun in the attackers hand, because I know I will be generally safe, even if there is some risk.

But if an obviously armed individual is attacking a woman and I just walk by, I am going to keep walking, because I know my life would be at risk and I am not using it to save only one person from an attack which they have a good chance of survival.

Either of these cases has nothing to do with it being a woman, however, and I will do the same for anyone.

Maybe a decade ago I would have stepped up and defended women. In today’s litigious society we live in, it’s nothing more than a risk for me and mine. Unless it’s directly life threatening, I will turn the other way. There is no benefit to helping strangers while judges accept civil suits from persons who would otherwise be maimed or dead because they got a cut or I knocked someone out who was involved in assaulting another with a bat (that was my last straw).

It isn’t worth it unless you know the people. I’ll continue to be protective of those in responsible for and nothing beyond.

Depends on context, though for the most part gender has little to do with it.

For example if I see someone being attacked and believe they didn’t deserve it, I’ll try to help as best I can.

I wouldn’t give a woman CPR however and would think twice about approaching a seemingly lost child, I’d perhaps just call the police.

I also probably would think twice about helping a woman broken down at the side of the road (honeytrap and also false rape accusation like that dude in Australia). Though I also probably wouldn’t put myself at risk to help some sketchy looking dudes though.

It depends. It's no longer my default to stick up for every woman. I would defend my significant or my sister to the death, but if, say, my ex wife were being mugged, I may even encourage the mugger.
