I'm pretty much mgtow at this point. I'd be willing to date a gal but I don't think I'm ever asking one out again. What I'd demand of her is pretty straightforward: she should be kind, smart enough to have a conversation, not physically repellant, and childless. That last one may be controversial, but the way I figure it, if I'm falling in love with someone, I want and expect to be the most important person in their life and vice versa. If she's got kids, that will never be the case.

That's my laundry list. I don't think it's unreasonable.

I think the more self-fulfilling and intelligent response to a woman who "wants a guy who’s 6’5 and makes 7 figures" is to be a lot more selective and careful about who you get into a relationship with. If some women are excessively shallow and judgmental, that shallowness and judgementalism (sp?) should be used as a stepping stone to being something better, and not be used as a mirror.

It's OK for men - or for anyone - to start being more discriminating about the kind of person you get into a relationship with.

Does this person have issues from past relationships?

If she is a single parent, do you really want to be the new daddy, regardless of how "badly" she needs a daddy for her kids?

How independent is she from her parents? If you get into a serious, loving, committed relationship, is she going to put that relationship first, or will she never place herself in a position of disagreeing with her family?

How financially and occupationally stable is she?

Do you see her as someone you can turn to for support when you need it? In other words, does this person see support as a two-way street? You give support when she needs it, she gives support when you need it?

Does this person have a positive attitude towards men and relationships with men in general? If she and/or her friends are always bashing men, do you want to have to deal with that?

Does this person know how to communicate? Do they express their needs, opinions and ideas in a productive and nurturing manner? Do they expect you to read their minds all the time? Do they "fight fair"?

These are just a few of the things that come to mind.

My other half makes significantly more money than me and, barring a miracle, she always will. It's not a problem and we've been together since 2007. I would never advise anyone to enter into a relationship that they felt was somehow settling for less, because that's not likely to make anyone happy, but what it's really about is the right person. So long as there's enough money to run your lives between you, I don't think it's a good idea for anyone, man or woman, to be too concerned about it.

Modern technology and culture has definitely made this difficult, if not impossible. In the past people would mostly just socialize with and date the people around them (same neighborhood/job/school/etc.), so each person had access to a more or less random and fairly representative distribution of potential partners. In short, there were only so many accessible 6’5 $200k/yr men per woman.

Nowadays you can cast a net as wide as your entire city and choose a completely skewed distribution of potential partners. The catch is that this is only socially legal if you’re a woman. Add on top of this a media-driven culture that rewards superficiality, and you end up with what we have now: 5/10 women with zero goals or accomplishments thinking they are all entitled to 10/10 men, and plenty of said 10/10 men willing to give each of them their 15 minutes.

Should we blame the guys who play into this system by settling for less? Personally, I don’t think so. Some of us have “gone our own way,” but that is a lot to ask of people.

in summary: asking men to give up intimacy is too much and it’s hard to blame men for settling. Women have gamed us pretty damn good and it’s probably gonna be like this for generations to come.

You wouldnt date a girl who wants that kind of man because shes an asshole and the men she prefers think the same way "she only wants me for my looks and money". If you apply the same reasoning to your dating you will be the flipside of this and thus still wont get into any relationships.

Agreed, another thing to keep in mind gentlemen is men age like wine and women age like milk. We need only to eat well, get good sleep and workout not just for body but mind as well it will keeps you motivated.

PREACH. I've been in relationships where I've "settled for less" (not on the appearance side, I always cared for that and I always will since I also take care of my own, but on the personality and behavior side) and it still wasn't worth it, even thought they loved me I was still stressed out all the time, unsatisfied, unhappy and I ended up having to break up. At least these situations showed me that despite what everyone says, I'm not bothered at all about being alone, and that many times I actually rather have my own company. I wish more men could learn to feel this way, this would start some change in the game.

So I now I will not settle down for anything less than an almost perfect match for me, basically a dream girl, and even if this never happens I know I will be much happier than being with someone just for the sake of having a relationship.

Basically, I started considering women not good enough for me, and not the other way around like it's common.
