I'm a father, and a son myself. In the beginning i thought: how can you leave your father and escape? But giving it a second thought....i as a father would literally order my boy to run, save himself and take care of mom and i'd gladly take his place.

If you live near Russia, I recommend going abroad now, when there is no one to stop you. After they declare war on your country you would be unable to leave. Better be safe than sorry. According to the prediction of experts who predicted Russia is gonna attack Ukraine, they are not gonna stop untill they capture all those countries who were once part of Russia.

Even if your country was not a part of Russia in the history, it's still risky because Russia might become power hungry and capture other countries after capturing all the slovakian countries.

I 100% agree with you it is unfair but The best thing you can do is try to calm down and access the situation.Try to see what is the best way to leave your country even if it is done without permission from your country in case something happens where they do not allow you to leave to another country.

I'm sure it's possible to smuggle a person over the border. It's probably also possible to leave the road and walk through the wilderness.

But what most men who don't want to fight are doing is taking refuge underground, in a subway or something, where bombs won't hit.

Frankly, just staying in your house gives you a well over 99.9% chance of survival.

If you can, you should leave now.
If you can't, you need to plan now. The further away you are from a border, the more difficult it will be. Expect that there won't just be checkpoints at the border, but also everywhere along the way.
In your free time, start with some long distance hiking and move on to camping. What you want to do is build up your physical endurance and figure out what equipment you will need to pull this off. The biggest restraint you'll face is how much water and food you can carry on you while going through rough terrain. You'll want food that has a high calorie/low weight ratio, but your biggest issue will be water which I'll get into later.
Your survival depends on staying hydrated while also keeping yourself warm and dry.
You also need to be realistic. If it takes more than 2 to 3 days of hiking for you to reach the border, your chances of success will diminish by a lot and it will take a lot more planning and provisioning to pull this off.
So if you can, not only plan your route, but prepare it by going there to observe what it's like on the ground. First, plan out where you need to hide rations such as water and food along the way that doesn't go bad quickly. Then start hiding your provisions and make sure they are sealed, concealed and secured properly from the elements and animals that might find it.
This means you don't have to carry everything with you in one go. Knowing you have drop points every so many kilometres where you have clean water stored will make your life a lot easier. You can easily go through 2 to 3 litres of water per day. For a 3 day trip, that's 9kg of water you would need to carry with you. Ideally, you don't want to carry more than 20% of your ideal body weight on you. 25% if your physically fit. Even with the drop points, make sure you have emergency water on you incase you need to divert your route for what ever reason.
Also, if you know the terrain, you're also less likely to get lost.

Also keep into account that you may not be able to rely on digital tools to help you navigate. A phone signal may give away your location and GPS signals may be blocked during times of war.

When you are doing your scouting work, preferably you shouldn't be doing this alone, but if you are, let someone know where you're going and let them know when they should expect you back. In case something happens, they can send out a search party for you. Remember, the scouting part is just you practicing your outdoor hobby.

Once you make it across the border, you will want to find an official on the other-side and claim asylum.

You can walk across the border there is no border fence. The fence is only at the border crossings . The fence at the border crossing extends maybe a mile each side.

Take all the preparations for crossing border.

Do it at night.

Do not drive right up to the border. Get dropped off 3 miles or so back.

Dark clothes blacken face.

Go through trees where possible.

Stay away from houses on the Ukranian side. The residents get money to report people. Every house has a dog that will bark.

There are rivers that mark the border between Romania and Ukraine eg, Tisza. No fence you have just have to swim paddle accros the river.

The last 3 miles from where you are dropped off to the border that you do at night will take about 5 hours. Move very slowly only moving when you know it is safe.

Security patrols the border but it is totally overstretched. The small roads near the border are patrolled.

They do not patrol the woods, do not like to get out of their vehicles.

I crossed borders in Eastern Europe many many years ago.

Do not use your phone,obviously the screen can be seen a mile off. Plot your route or better several on google maps before you go.

If I wanted to get out now I would defo go to Romania, it is not part of schengen and so will be easier to cross. It is also very hilly in places and so no houses or farmland just woods.

The only guards that will stop you are the Ukranians. the Romanians will arrest you but will not send you back.

There is loads of stuff on the internet about crossiong borders usually into the USA which is a harder border to cross.

You will be fine I am sure, it really is not possible for them to patrol the border very much. Besides I think they have more worries.
