Example:

Expression way:

Man experienced an emotion in this example anger.

Man expresses anger, most likely getting mad; yelling and pitching things.

Women either gets scared or becomes combative furthering each other’s negative emotions and conflict escalates or…

Man experiences anger.

Man expresses anger by saying “That pissed me off. I’m taking some time to figure out why and well discuss it later”

Man brings emotions down then thinks about why they got angry, what the problem is and what potential solutions are available.

Man comes back; talks to women and says.

X happened.

It made me feel mad because of y.

Thus to help prevent or mitigate y I am implementing z.

What do you think about this?

Do you have any experience with a?

Any input you have is greatly appreciated.
