Growing up I always noticed a pattern in bashing the man after a breakup. Most of the time it’s “he was abusive, controlling, wasn’t that cute anyway, broke, and so on. The only chance it’s not hostile is when the girl cheats, then it’s “we just weren’t compatible”. With every partner or talking stage that iv been in I always hear about how absolutely horrible their ex was to them. I caught her sending pictures to other guys two months into us talking, she begged me to meet her parents, begged me to be her boyfriend, and asked on several occasions if I was talking to other girls (before I found out). 9 months later after I stopped contacting her after discovering what she did I got called controlling and her sister told her family that I hated being around them. Men either don’t talk about their ex (because no one cares) or they only talk to their closest friend about it, they don’t go to their parents and piers and bash them. Another thing is how despite me allegedly being such a bad person, they always advice that we keep in contact just in case we cross paths down the line, and somehow always figure out a way to contact me months later like nothing happened. If someone was abusive to me I wouldn’t want anything to do with them. I’m assuming girls do this after cheating or ‘finding’ someone else and don’t want to take accountability for doing something wrong, if they convince themselves and everyone else that you’re a bad person then they don’t have to live with the fact that they cheated, they try to keep in contact just incase it doesn’t work out so they can come crawling back to see if you’re doing better than them or if you’re willing to take them back. Am I at least halfway right on this or am I trippin?
