What do you think was going on that would cause women like Elizabeth Taylor and Hedi Lamarr to get divorced so many times? I sincerely doubt they initiated all of those divorces.

I read a lot of things that suggest that if women would just keep up their appearances, then men would stay with them for as long as possible, and the only reason why women would have trouble with relationships is because they're ugly or fat.

But this is clearly not the case with these very attractive actresses (and I'm sure for many other women who were not famous). In fact in Hedi Lamarr's case, one of her husbands basically dipped out of her and her kids' lives even after marrying her and basically he was never heard from while the kids were growing up.

In my mind, I already know that there are millions of reasons why relationships don't work out and the overly simplified "well she must just be ugly or stupid if she can't keep a man" opinions are stupid. I'm mostly posting this to know what people's thoughts on this are.
