Wife has decided to move out of condo (Nj). No divorce filed yet. My name is not on any important pprwrk. We have a 12yo daughter & have been married for 13 yrs. She wants to know if I'm going to stay in the condo or leave. If I stay she wants me to pay the entitirety of the bills & mentioned a lease. Don't worry, I know not to sign anything. She is the breadwinner, makes 3x what I make. She says she will sell if I don't agree to pay all the expenses (mtg, gas, cable). I don't think she can sell without my signature or a court order. We don't fight. There is no reason for her to leave besides proving to another person that she's serious about leaving her marriage. She also claims that her attny or some attny told her to find a place first & see how the financial numbers work out. I seriously think she misinterpreted that advice. I know nj is no-fault but I am also under the assumption that leaving the Marital home is detrimental, especially with no valid reason. I want to file but I want her to move out first. Can she sell without my signature? Home was bought almost 4 years ago. She pays the mtg, gas and cable; I pay Condo fee and electricity. Groceries are based on who has the time to get to the store. Is it legal for her to attempt to have me sign a lease agreement?
