So I’ve found a great man - he’s committed, hard-working, and adores me. We’re in our early 20s. He’s values more traditional things as well which is great. He opens doors for me - but doesn’t open my car door. He doesn’t follow the sidewalk rule either - where the man remains on the outside when you’re walking. I was raised with men who showed me these courtesies - my dad and little brother still do these things for me and my mom. I’ve been on dates with lots of guys who do these things as well.
There’s a few other things, but you get the point.
I’m just off-put by these things, but the pros outweigh the cons so I’m just wondering how to gently address these things without being snarky or passive-aggressive?
