She did get lambasted for her actions, so there's that.

[–]RickRollRizal 48 points49 points50 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

But she's not getting canceled or have police called in her?

Wait...I thought shaming your partner, or anyone for that matter, is bad, right? Apparently only applies to men who shame women...

[–]No-Satisfaction-2320 -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Isn't this just as bad as when women say "all men want is sex"?

[–]FastidiousFalcon 20 points21 points22 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Lock her up!

[–]upsidedownbackwards 23 points24 points25 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I've got a low sex drive. It usually doesn't bother me. But I've been offered Viagra by a handful of FWB over the last 20 years because they hope that I'll be able to keep up with them if I take it. It always feels bad.

First it puts a spotlight on my low libido. Makes it feel like somethings wrong with me.

Second, I've never taken anything for my heart/BP before. I had high blood pressure up until recently. I'm not comfortable with putting something that could mess with my heart into my system without talking to my doctor, and definitely not before a strenuous activity.

Third I'm pretty sure it doesn't work like that. There's no ED. Physically there's nothing wrong. Trying to give me an erection hoping it leads to being horny when I'm not in the mood feels gross. Imagine the roles reversed. Woman isn't in the mood, man asks her to take a pill to make her hornier.

[–]KidRetro_95 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If a man did that he'd be done for rape. Ridiculous the amount of double standards our society has when it comes to men.

I think alot of men fear trying to approach woman to ask them on a date or anything like that these days because they never know who's going to accuse them of something yet woman can do this and feminists etc see it as playful.

[+]BidadwantsU 6 points7 points8 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

When a man talks dirty to a woman, it's sexual harassment. But when a woman talks dirty to man, it's 3.99 a minute....

[–]fogoticus 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's kinda amazing how much pride she took in doing this. It was as if she was entitled to doing this lmao.

[–]Marty-the-monkey 15 points16 points17 points 4 years ago (71 children) | Copy Link

What would be a comparable thing for a man to do here? Because women don't really go flacid in term of longevity in bed.

[–]Magical-Hummus 46 points47 points48 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Giving her an Aphrodisiac secretly.

[+]Marty-the-monkey -38 points-37 points-36 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Being hard or generating longevity for a man isn't the same as making him excited. If anything that would just make the endeavor shorter.

[–]Magical-Hummus 38 points39 points40 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It is not technically the same but the purpose is: creatig a body reaction of the partner to secretly increase the sex life.

[–]SpookeyClown -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Totally right, no idea wtf people are downvoting.

[–]syedalired21 42 points43 points44 points 4 years ago (35 children) | Copy Link

The offense is not "slipping a drug to increase longevity".. the offense is slipping a drug to an unsuspecting intimate partner for selfish sexual pleasure. And that is a very slippery slope.

[+]Marty-the-monkey -44 points-43 points-42 points 4 years ago (34 children) | Copy Link

On one hand yes, but this was with a consensual partner, which I think needs to be taken into consideration when making a comparison.

[–]ramao__ 27 points28 points29 points 4 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

No, her partner didn't consent to having drugs slipped into his drink. I hope you're trolling or something. It's not that hard to see what's wrong in this.

[+]Marty-the-monkey -32 points-31 points-30 points 4 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

When did boyfriend stop meaning consensual partner?

And why is asking the question of what the inverse would be trolling?

OP is postulater that there would be an uproar had the roles been reversed, and I'm trying to figure out what that situation would be exactly.

If a snuck in vitamins in my wife's diet I would be in principle be doing the same as here, but I don't think it would make it to the news.

[–]AzLibDem 22 points23 points24 points 4 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

When did boyfriend stop meaning consensual partner?

Are you serious? Just because someone is a relationship with you does not automatically imply continuous consent. Even if they're your spouse.

[+]Marty-the-monkey -6 points-5 points-4 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Okay.

Seems the feminist and men's rights have found some common ground in terms of relationships.

[–]Thread_water 8 points9 points10 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Don't drug your partner for your sexual pleasure unbeknownst to them, is something that most people would believe, not just feminists and men's rights advocates.

[–]Marty-the-monkey 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Yet the OP is under the impression this isn't the case.

[–]Thread_water 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Well I can see it being taken more serious if the sexes were reversed personally.

Few people would think it's right regardless of the sex, but people would act with more anger if the sexes were reversed, is my posision.

[–]needalife94 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

The only thing that is consensual is the sex. Not slipping the dude something to make him last longer in bed. Just because they're partners , wether in a relationship or just FWB , doesn't give consent to slip something into his drink without him knowing.

[–]Marty-the-monkey -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

So if a person had added a vitamin supplement to someone's food you would be just as outraged?

[–]needalife94 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

No I wouldn't. There is a difference in vitamin pills for a SO or friends well being and slipping in some powder or pill that is going to benefit yourself in the bedroom.

[–]Marty-the-monkey 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

But if I slipped in vitamins into someone's food or drink without them knowing, would that be as bad as this?

Ginger, turmeric, garlic and magnesium are all supplements which can improve performance by improving blood circulation. If a person snuck a supplement pill into someone's food with these things, would that result in the same outrage?

[–]needalife94 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

For your first part no. For the second one , Yea because it just shows selfishness and that you can't just sit down and ask your partner to take them.

[–]Marty-the-monkey 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

So when the article writes that what she used is a root supplement, we agree that this isn't a case of using drugs?

And I'm not disagreeing with the dishonest nature of all of this, I'm trying to find out whether or not what OP postulates in the title (that this would be seen as much worse and even involve police had a man done it) is true.

My initial question was to figure out the best scenario for comparison because a supplement is not a drug, so comparing it to such is a bad comparison.

So far it seems doubtful that this behavior would garner any different reaction had a man done it.

[–]needalife94 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Yea , i agree that if a guy did it , it probably wouldn't spark the attention of the police.

[–]syedalired21 11 points12 points13 points 4 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

So you are a troll. Not wasting anymore time on you.

[–]Marty-the-monkey 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Jesus christ you get triggered easily. Simply asking a question and you jump to it being a troll.

[–]kursdragon 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Naw dude you're either a troll or a mouthbreather, either way its a waste of time talking to you. You can't seem to comprehend very simple concepts.

[–]Marty-the-monkey -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Jesus christ you get triggered by a simple question.

Hilarious to see half the posts on this subreddit are people complaining about the very attitude you exhibit.

[–]kursdragon 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Nobody is triggered man

[–]Marty-the-monkey -2 points-1 points0 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Buddy you decided that simple questions into how this would work inverse to determine the postulate of the OP constitutes trolling or mouth breathing.

Evidently just asking for clarification got you into a triggered hissyfit of name-calling.

[–]kursdragon 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

No I've seen your other responses where people have very clearly explained the equivalent which would be giving someone a substance they didn't consent to taking, but you're just too thick to understand something very very simple. Again nobody is triggered, you're just braindead

[–]SystemFolder 43 points44 points45 points 4 years ago (23 children) | Copy Link

Slipping her birth control pills, even though she’s trying to get pregnant, just to have more sex.

[+]Marty-the-monkey -28 points-27 points-26 points 4 years ago (22 children) | Copy Link

But that doesn't make her last longer in bed.

[–]philhalo66 23 points24 points25 points 4 years ago (19 children) | Copy Link

so after reading this the thing that your hung up on isn't that she DRUGGED HIM!!!!! its the fact that women dont get flaccid? what the hell is wrong with you? drugging someone is illegal no matter the reason you do it

[+]Marty-the-monkey -12 points-11 points-10 points 4 years ago (18 children) | Copy Link

No the thing I got hung up on was the attempt of comparison her wanted her partner to last longer in bed, and that totally being an uprising if a man did, but I'm hard pressed to see in which way the tables could be turned.

His mental state hasn't been altered and he isn't being had sex with against his will.

[–]philhalo66 11 points12 points13 points 4 years ago (17 children) | Copy Link

plenty of drugs delay orgasm for both men and women. are you saying you'd be fine if a man drugged a woman without her knowledge to delay her orgasm so he could have sex longer?

[–]Marty-the-monkey -2 points-1 points0 points 4 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link

Never heard of the latter.

But it kind of got into my point. The sex don't necessarily stop if the woman orgasm, but it kind of does with the guy.

So what would be a good comparison?

[–]fiercealmond 6 points7 points8 points 4 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

A good comparison would be drugging another person unknowingly for whatever reason you fucking troglodyte

[–]Marty-the-monkey 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Like giving then a supplement of vitamins?

[–]Thread_water 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Yes putting a supplement into someone's drink unbeknownst to them is a dangerous and highly immoral thing to do, in thisncase it had an FDA warning making it even worse.

But even a seemingly benign supplement could interfere with medications or cause allergies that you might not know of.

[–]TetraThiaFulvalene 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Or a roofie since she cares more about her pleasure than his consent.

[–]philhalo66 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

some women get sore after an orgasm, my point is would you be fine if a man drugged a woman without her knowing about it regardless of the reason.

[–]Marty-the-monkey 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Never said that. I was just trying to figure out the inverse.

But my goodness some of you people take quick offense.

[–]philhalo66 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

because your up in here dismissing this act she did because hes a guy. like wtf did you expect?

[–]Kindly-Town 25 points26 points27 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It doesn't have to be literally symmetrical. The lesson here is silently passing drug into someone's system without his consent and prescription should be illegal.

[–]SharqPhinFtw 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Don't worry, just another NPC that gets stuck on one aspect of an analogy and the processing power just isn't there to move on to the meat of the argument

[+]_wrong_ad_1 points 4 years ago* [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

Are you somehow trying to play devils advocate to defend this behavior?

[–]Marty-the-monkey -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm trying to gauge what the actually "turned tables" would be.

[–]badblue81 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Giving people an unknown substance with out knowledge or consent is illegal.

Giving a man a ED drug could kill him as they typically effect the cardiovascular system, especially before an intense physical activity.

There is also the risk of priapism as having a medically induced erection can cause serious damage up to and including never have an erection again.

Any attempt to slip a woman a drug without her knowledge would have the man up on possible rape charges if found out.

[–]Marty-the-monkey 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

So we have reached the consensus that a supplement is the exact same as a drug?

[–]Turkyindia 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Bra, whaa?

[–]Marty-the-monkey 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The article says slipping a supplement, the other user says drugs.

Are these words interchangeable?

y’all love to say ‘if the roles were reversed’ but the roles ARE reversed and MEN STILL DON’T CARE. The difference is this woman got called tf out for it in the news (as she should have bc wtf that’s sexual assault) but men make these videos all the time and don’t get the same reprimand.
