The reason people have body hair is really old. Back in the beginning of evolution, people didn't have many clothes and were naked or scarcely dressed most of the time, and the body hair helped them feel warm during cold time. Contemporary humans aren't as hairy as cave people were because for many centuries now we are wearing clothes.

Not gonna lie, his argument isn't the best. Cancer is not a proper function of a healthy body, hair is.

It would have been more honest to say that (assuming this even happened) the young boy was just commenting in his own limited way, that what he was seeing wasn't normal in his limited experience.

As the whether it is "supposed" to be there, that's up to her to decide, just like it's up to any potential mate to look at it and decline to pursue her if they so choose.

Mate, there are areas where you should definetly shave your ape hair. Namely arms, legs, groin and armpits. Maybe not even the arms and legs, but pubes and armpit hair are the biggest turn-off.
