This issue is a bit complicated by the legality of abortion depending on where you are, but I'm really curious why Men's Rights activists aren't proposing equality in the form of 'abortion' for men:

When someone gets pregnant/gives birth, the father has the opportunity to decline fatherhood. In such a case there would be no right to see the child etc., but also no obligation to support the child. This could have to be declared within a certain timeframe after being informed of the pregnancy.

Women, depending on where they live, hopefully have the right to abort a pregnancy if it would ruin their life. Men, however, have to leave that choice to the pregnant woman. And would probably become a pariah if they said "please abort this baby, it would ruin my life".

Why is the legal right to termination of fatherhood not broadly demanded by men?
