Women are constantly bringing up how they feel unsafe around men and how they could be accosted at any time, any where by scary men. Well, the reality of this situation is that the random assault on a solitary jogger is an extreme rarity, that's why it makes the news when it happens. The majority of intimate partner violence happens under the influence of alcohol. Yet when given a free choice, women continue to partake in drinking culture in ever increasing numbers, in almost equal percentages as men. Also, non-drinking men are generally seen as bores who don't know how to have any fun. As a non-drinker myself, I know that this is a clear and obvious obstacle that I often have to hide or make up for when dating.

This tells me one of two things either:

  1. the tales of woe about how women are worried about assault are a sympathy card that women pull to get pity from simps and shut down arguments, or
  2. safety is just not that high on women's priority list when vetting for a partner, despite what they say

Because if women were genuinely concerned for their safety with men, they would avoid alcohol more when given a free choice. And they would overwhelmingly select for non-drinking men
