A friend of mine did. He hired a PI and was able to prove cohabitation (it's 90 days here). It was an expensive endeavor though. Less expensive in the long run, but the up front costs were high.

I looked up the case and yea, alimony was terminated. While they were there they went ahead an nearly doubled his child support... What a load of crap.

IT IS ORDERED AND AGREED PLAINTIFF'S REHABILITATIVE ALIMONY OBLIGATION SHALL TERMINATE. BOTH PARTIES WAIVE ANY ALIMONY FROM >THE OTHER PARTY. BEGINNING MARCH 1, 2020, PLAINTIFF'S CHILD SUPPORT OBLIGATION SHALL BE MODIFIED FROM $490.00 PER MONTH TO $921.00

It depends on the laws in your jurisdiction. For example in the United States, there are some states that have laws that will terminate spousal support upon cohabitation. For other states, it's less formal but there may be case law to support it. Depending on the state, cohabitation is more than just living together. For example in CA, you must demonstrate showing as a couple to the community; there must be entangled utilities.

Cohabitation typically needs to be confirmed by an independent third-party such as a private investigator. This is standard stuff for their profession.

IM still in the middle of my divorce. My soon to be x cheated on me with every Tom dick and harry. She does make more than i do . I had my own business that was not doing well .. im in the processs of dissolving it now. I want ready for what happened after Ifound her cheating. She does make a lot more than me. She was the only reason why i was ablelto start my own business in the first place. She wants me to leave with nothing. I did find find a job but i dont start it till October. It’s in a different town about 300 miles away. Ill be living out of my car for quite a while. I was hoping for atlease a little alimony so i would be able to at least find a place to live and get started. But no. I guess because im a guy who wasn’t doing well at the time i had to leave the house I shouldn’t get anything at all…. I had to l had to leave becase she made life unlivable there. Screaming 24/7.. She always thought a friend of mine was my girlfriend.. just because she screwed all her guy friends doesn’t mean i screw my friends of the oppsite sex. Can’t find my glasses this morning so im not able to correct my spelling.. i think i will post more in a couple hours

I’m following this thread. My ex is also in Florida and I know he won’t be able to survive long without a supportive relationship. I want him to be happy (and cohabiting), so I can stop paying alimony.

Had friend go through this exact same issue and he actually proved it and was able to get alimony payments to stop. He's in GA, not sure if the law is similar to FL but it might be. My ex , signed a rental contract. And said she is not living, but “renting” from the guy.

And this contract is in place 6 month before the divorce initiation

So good , and bad.

My point is why married person suddenly start renting from unmarried “guy” after we just returned from vacation.

Though, cost of PL are crazy. And i cant afford it to have more evidences

So, depends on common sense of the judge.
