Grandparent here. (Grandma) DIL took kids and all belongings while son was out of town. Son came home blindsided. (Though didn’t surprise me or his dad) What did surprise us is that she put a temporary protection order on him and wants to keep it for five years.

Had our first hearing last week. Very compelling. She has a picture of a bruise on her arm and a picture of what looks like white powdery stuff, a “grinder” and a pot. Epic: My son’s lawyer Asked her how she knew what a grinder was. I didn’t know what a grinder was. I have since googled. She said “I thought it was obvious that everybody knew what a grinder was”. Oh ha ha I think you get it.

Anyhoo, my son received eight hours on Saturday and eight hours on Sunday for each weekend before the next hearing. I think that’s a good thing.
