I am 7 weeks pregnant with my first child. Unfortunately my sex drive has taken a hit and it has my boyfriend upset and worried. His last marriage ended in large part because his sexual needs were not being met and he went looking elsewhere. He promises me this won’t happen with us, honestly it’s only been 5 days so maybe we are on a once a week trajectory at this point (which is what he said his previous marriage started like). I’m nauseous, sore and have cramps on top of hormonal fluctuation which makes it really hard to be in the mood. I’m doing physical work throughout the week while managing my symptoms so I’m tired. We also don’t have the best privacy as we are still working on getting a place together.

I told him I wouldn’t turn him down and he essentially just has to take me at this point but he said that’s messed up and he’s not into it if I’m not and is worrying that I don’t find him attractive. He says he doesn’t want pity sex and that would be even worse. I just don’t want to have to feel like a sex worker putting on a show when I’m not super into it either. I know he’s taking it to heart though cause he was just watching Ted talks on sexless marriages and said he got out of his last situation just to walk into the same thing all over again. How do I best deal with this in a RP way? I don’t want a sexless marriage but I am nervous about what the demands of motherhood will do to my sex drive as well.
