The easy ones: - give him lots of genuine compliments. - Lots of hugging/touching/kissing. - Being happy around him, greeting him excitedly when I see him. - Taking care of our home. - Cooking his favourite meals or recipes he sends me. - Always hiding little notes for him to find. - Taking care of his ailments. - listening to his struggles complaints without judgment or trying to find solutions.

The hard ones: - Giving him space when he needs it. - Being understanding that he works hard and that can sometimes take time away from me. - Not butting into things and trusting that he has it handled. - Not being grumpy and letting the small things go.

This probably seems underwhelming, but I listen to him and take what he says seriously. When he says he likes something, that's my new status quo. Likes curly hair? My hair is always curly now. Likes to eat certain foods? I will spend substantial time making it healthy and tasty. He says he has a goal? I will do everything in my power to make sure he accomplishes that goal with minimal stress. Am I perfect at this? Ha, no. But the better I get at it, the better our relationship gets and the happier we both are. He feels like his preferences and goals matter, which matters to me.

And I compliment him every chance I get. Men are so starved for positive attention that if their wife doesn't give it to them, they probably won't get any at all. This isn't to say that I never criticize him. We have a very open and honest relationship where we have both feel free to tell each other "I don't like the way that looks, or when you do that," but we also lay on the compliments when they're deserved. He's a hunk of a guy, I married him for a reason, and I love to remind him of those reasons.

Lately I've been trying to get done up for him as much as I possibly can. Is there something he specifically likes you to wear, or makeup, or a way you style your hair? I try to get reasonably done up for him and - probably most importantly - take his feedback and integrate it. So if he likes the way I've done my hair/nails/makeup, I just try to do more of whatever that thing is.

Also, the other thing is noting where he struggles and see if you can do anything to just help ease that burden. For my husband, he's absolutely not a morning person, so most weekday mornings for basically our entire marriage, I've made him a hot breakfast. It only takes 10 minutes out of my morning, but it makes a huge difference for his (it helps that he remembers that I don't have to do this and responds with gratitude, so it really starts my morning off right too). Now that he's back in the office, I also try to have supper ready for him/his son when they get home. It's simple and quick for me to do, but it makes a big difference in his day.

This probably sounds like a lot to most, but having a similar job and hating having to come home and do it myself made me realize what a difference it makes.

When he comes home, I greet him and kiss him on the cheek or wherever. I take his bag and jacket if he's wearing one.

Then, once he's sitting, I take his shoes and socks off and blow on his feet. I know! But I can't help spoiling him. He always goes, "ahhhh!" And it's really the cutest thing. Even though his feet do stink.

If they're that bad, I'll come back with a rag that's lightly wet and a but soapy on one side and wipe his feet. Plus, a little towel to dry them off.

I've always got his snack, or even dinner ready if he comes home later.

The snacks he enjoys most are grapes, cherries, cheese, and nuts. Certain crackers.

I'll get a little variety and set them out where he sits when he says he's on the way home. Sometimes, I'll light a candle next to it for some extra cozy effect. Nothing too smelly.

Then I tidy up anything I didn't get to earlier that's immediately noticeable.

He also really likes salad, so I make him a little one up most nights right before dinner while I'm putting everything together. Mostly just salad mix, cucumbers, tomators, olive oil, lemon juice, and ceasar dressing. Chicken on the occasion that it's lunch and not just an appetizer.

I'm careful to mostly give him space and quiet when he gets back. Usually, after eating, he recharges some, and he's more ready to talk.

I'm also very careful with how I plate his food. I try to make it look the most appealing (and give him the best cuts/pieces).

I try a bite of whatever I'm going to put on his plate so I know it's good according to his taste.

-I clean and organize our living space. Tho I expect him to be tidy and not messy.

-I give him compliments.

-I make sure we have personal spaces for our individual hobbies and interests.

-I allow him freedom, It’s important for a man to spend quality time with guy friends without me present.

-I challenge him to make decisions(allowing him to express his masculinity, which makes a man feel good)
