Honestly I don’t remember. I lurked PPD for like a year before I even started posting regularly. I remember thinking it was interesting to have a little “no man’s land” between the two genders were the gloves come off and things got messy but the pettiness of it can get to be a bit much sometimes.

I used to read incel subreddits and was amazed by how differently men think and view life. These subreddits have been banned and this is a bit more similar with the two perspectives.

I continue to be amazed by how deeply entrenched we are in the perspective or our gender and how much more sympathetic we our to people like ourselves (I'm also gobswalloped that I hadn't completely grasped this reality before).

I saw a post from IncelTears on popular, subscribed to it and then Reddit promoted PPD for me.

I’m somewhat argumentative and I’ve always wanted to have a chat with these people whose posts you usually see getting mocked and laughed at, because I was curious about their logic and what kind of experience has made me hold their beliefs. And now I kind of got used to regulars here.

I dated a red pilled dude and all the trauma it caused so I found spaces like these. So seeing spaces like that was incentive to NOT date because dudes be out here thinking body count matters, women can't love, women's value is only about how subservient she is to a man. Made it really easy to be like ew no thanks pass. Because the trad man/red pilled perspective on women is so gross and dehumanizing. So it was like a good incentive to stay away from dating while I was healing.

And it feels good to tell dudes how horribly wrong they are about me. That I'm not a heartless hypergamous harpy seeking out a rich alpha HMV to plant his seed in me to quell my evil female nature Lol 😂 sarcasm. All the sarcasm. It's just fun to sit back and laugh at how horribly wrong these dudes are about women. It's like watching someone do something for the first time and struggle like they ALMOST get it sometimes but totally fumble the bag. Because God forbid the Manosphere or red pill is actually wrong on a lot of things.

I don't really remember- I used to be on FDS a lot and must've seen some people posting here too. I don't subscribe to any of the blahblahblahwhateverpill thinking, I just find it interesting where some mens' heads are at. Frankly, I keep coming back because a lot of guys on here have opinions that are so bad and incorrect that I can't help but watch.

My first truly negative experience with dating. I was very naive and sheltered back then. I took him at his word when he said he understood and respected my decision to wait until marriage. That turned out to be a mistake.

My friends and family irl weren't exactly helpful at explaining to me what had happened and why he had changed so suddenly. I turned to the internet stumbled across a TRP post with a guy asking advice on how to get his virgin GF to sleep with him. And then everything made sense. I figured out all the little clues and red flags I had missed. Some of the stuff was nauseating to read, especially since I myself had been a target of similar stuff. But I didn't stop because I never wanted to be blindsided like that again.

PPD caught my attention because unlike TRP there were actually people challenging and disagreeing with each other. At that point I had never truly processed my feelings over the betrayal and everything I had seen on TRP. Commenting on here gave me a way to do it.

A lot has changed since then (found this place at 19, 24 now). I don't really get angry or invested the way I used to. At this point it's just entertainment and keeping track of the handful of users who have been here as long as I have or longer.
