I know jeans aren't super feminine-- but they're the only things that make me feel like I'm wearing 'real pants', as opposed to- real pants (snicker)- that feel more like leggings or yoga pants to me. Why is it that pants tend to make me feel like I'm wearing leggings or yoga pants? I must be wearing the wrong pants. What I *don't* like about jeans is that they're not super feminine, they're kind of teen-y and unoriginal and not to mention doesn't really let your nethers breathe, which is why I had always expected to transition out of them. I've been on a jeans kick only because I've been shopping consignment shops where they're pickier with what they'll take in, so I've been able to get higher quality jeans for the first time in my life, so I told myself this will do for now, until I feel I've reached the chapter where I'm ready to upgrade. Well, I have started to feel a bit insecure about my jeans usage, and on top of that, I think that me wearing ill-fitting jeans (due to me washing them in hot water, I know I know, I already plan to transition to cold) has been possibly the #1 top contributor to my chronic UTIs. I know I want to wear skirts more, but right now it's winter so it's less of a priority and only having a couple for the house, if any, makes sense right now, and then the rest I need to invest in would be pants. Oh, what is the difference between slacks, pants, and any other terms used for... bottoms? Trousers I think I sort of get, they're more like "pantsy* pants right, if that makes sense? So, I like the idea of trousers, but I also know people in the UK use that term more and with me being in the US I worry about anything I see labelled "trousers" being actually trousers or not. I'm 25F, how do I go about finding actual adult pants to wear out every day, not leggings or yoga pants, but actual PANTS that are feminine, breathable, stylish enough to be the best dressed in most rooms like on the border of business casual and formal, or on the border of casual and business casual, something that will make me feel like a WOMAN, but be COMFORTABLE enough that I'm not unnecessarily making myself uncomfortable with all of these nooks and crannies to tie and hold myself in? I should mention, I am a plus sized lady. I know working on my weight will be mentioned, so I just wanna chime in first and say I've been hitting the gym.
