This is what will *likely happen:

It will give her more bullets and target areas to use against you when you’re caught lacking.

An example: You initiate and she shuts you down. You (with the most stoic resignation you can muster) say (with a crack in your voice since your new) “that’s fine I’m going to the gym” to which you’ll get caught by her saying (with feline predatory satisfaction) “well well well look at you Mr. Tough Not-So-Nice Guy! You up that dread while you’re at it!”

Fuck you gonna say/do then?

Funnily enough, my wife found that book when she was on my kindle for whatever reason. She asked “what’s this NMMNG book?” to which I replied with an aloof “oh, it’s just an interesting psychology book” (because I’m into psych in general) to which she replied with a vitriolic and penetrating “Hmm, well THAT’S REALLY going to make YOU into a better man.” Feels bad man.

Glover actually corrected this mistake lately and acknowledged that it is not wise to read it with her. Do as you are told here and you’ll be fine: STFU, Read the sidebar, Lift.

My wife discovered MMSLP in my kindle list and read the portion that was in the sample edition. Poor OPSEC on my part.

I thought it would be a bad thing. Sex that night was way more enthusiastic than normal.

Hasn't mentioned it in intervening 6 months or so. YMMV.

But, yeah, don't invite her to participate.

Yeah it’s a great book and I reread it every year and get something new each time. Actually helped me a lot on my career.

I would def not get her involved. As you making a lot of positive changes in your life out of nowhere will get her hamster going.

However if she were to find your copy then you don’t hide the bad.

I would also recommend Rian stones side bar series on YouTube. He is pretty good at breaking end concepts down and giving real world examples. Especially on going Rambo and the anger phase.

This isn't a Marvel movie luv...why you wanna read it with her. Most women will be offended by the contents of any RP...anything.

Personally I love this book. Unfortunately I was more on the asshole side of the spectrum. Problem with losing temper and there was even a point that I physically hurt her when we were just with one kid. I am surprised we are even together after all my bullshit. Working on not losing my shit like that. These need to be balanced if you want a relationship.

Even some little niceness is nice. If I said that in 2008 RP everyone will call me "yuck beta"

As for Glover's recommendation,look,, this isn't perfect and there are lots of things I cannot agree with and reading with your wife is one of them idk why he even said that in the book it is indeed a deep mystery why he even said that no one knows why till the day I die.
